Gail was extremely helpful in making sure we arrived and had a seamless check-in process. The Cottage itself was spacious and lovely for our time in Fredericksburg.
Eclectic, beautiful place. Very near the downtown shops and restaurants. In a neighborhood with a backyard that feels like rural living. Lots of deer out back in the mornings. A great library and wonderful art. Hope to stay at the Potters House again in the future.
We loved staying here. There's a really cool downstairs area with two beds that we didn't use. The house is decorated beautifully throughout, and our favorite part was the large outdoor area. Quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend this property!
This property was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay in Fredericksburg. Unique and fun furnishings and decor. Nice outdoor seating in a peaceful setting. Very convenient location, as well. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay in this house with it's wonderful fenced in front yard and backyard. We even enjoyed our dinner on the patio table out back one night.
Historical. Felt like a little gem! Loved the brick and historic feel of the basement entry. Very eat out or have leftovers type of kitchen area. The house is split with owners on otherside. Very quiet home overall. Loved the location super close to town. Only saw owners once, very kind. Loved the fully fenced in yard for dogs! Overall would stay again 100%. Enjoyed my alone time here!
We had a wonderful stay at this quaint cottage! It was peaceful and relaxing, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The location couldn't have been betterâjust a short distance to Main Street and some fantastic restaurants. The cottage was cozy, and clean, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene getaway with easy access to local dining and attractions!
This property was very nice and well kept, especially for being around 140 years old. It was perfect for my wife and I and our pet dog. Property is pet friendly. Although it is close to main street, it is in a very quit, almost country type setting. Nice neighborhood. There were deer on the property and lots of birds. A creek runs behind the house. Gail, the property manager was very nice and accommodating.
Perfect spot, absolutely enjoyed our stay. Close to everything that we wanted to see. Super quite area, completely fenced perimeter of the home made it safe to let the puppy roam with no worrying. Will stay here next time!! Viva âPotters Cottageâ
My husband and I stayed here for a little weekend getaway. We had a great experience! This house was exactly as the listing described. We loved all the artsy touches and enjoyed reading about the art in the home in the welcome book. Everything was clean and we loved that even filtered water was provided. Such a thoughtful touch. This house is super convenient to Main Street. Everything was a 3-4 minute drive at most and the HEB was around the corner. We would definitely stay here again if itâs available on our next Fredericksburg trip!
Finn Alban, is the current owner of this historic farm house bought by her parents in 1966 as a place to retire. She is a 5th generation Texan and an award winning potter who creates pottery and sculpture in her studio behind the house. Finn's portion of the house is separated from the B&B by a stone wall and has 2 separate entrances.
'While growing up in San Antonio, I had often visited the Hill Country as a child. Even then, I knew that some day, some way, I would live there. When my son was 4 years old, that opportunity came and we moved here to this very special small town with its wonderful community.'
This antique and art filled property, is a well cared for, family home that has in the past, sheltered many people in a loving way. The sun bleached limestone walls give this house it's rightful sense of place in the Texas Hill Country.
