We needed to accommodate 7 10th grade girls and 2 adults with a dog. This cabin went above and beyond our expectations! Plenty of room, an incredibly stocked kitchen, blankets for the dog, washer/dryer and lots of activities - fire pit, corn hole. The cabin was spotless and there were clear operating instructions for everything. And can we talk about that view? Spacious deck allowed for spectacular mountain and night sky views! Our host, Steve, was awesome with recommendations and directions. Truly can't say enough positives about the stay. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

I love it when a group comes up to enjoy the mountains and nature and to sit on our deck and see the beautiful views. Our goal is your complete enjoyment and having all the amenities you would expect in your own home. We know how it feels to NOT have an expected amenity and nothing you can do about it so we have taken these things in to account and make sure we offer just about everything there is in a vacation rental. We even have the wildlife that can stroll through. It's so much fun when you're sitting on the deck and some deer or turkey wander through. We have a phone app that hears the different birds and identifies the type of bird. There is so much to do at Serenity and we hope everyone can have such a great experience as yours. Come back and see us any time to experience all there is in Sparta, NC and at Serenity on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Our commitment to cleanliness ensures all our guests have the most enjoyable stay. We've been to vacation rentals that were not clean and they were not fun after having to clean up before we can start. Not good. If it isn't clean, we'll send the cleaner out to clean what they missed. I don't want you to clean. So come stay with us again so you won't have to clean.

We love it when our guests share their experiences at Serenity. There are so many things to do in the Sparta area it seems like there's something for everyone. Even the little puppies that join their Humans. They love all the smells in the woods from Bear (yes), Deer, Turkey, chipmunks and yes there are some squirrels running around and some we don't know about. Keep them close though. Who knows when they'll find something to chase. Keep your puppies safe. And please come see us next time you need a retreat in the mountains. There

Wonderful girls trip!

Lovely cabin with gorgeous breathtaking views. Lots of room. The porch was amazing especially with the rocking chairs. Really enjoyed the communal space and-enough seating for the 8 of us. Highly recommend .

There is plenty of space for a large group whether you sit around the fire pit, gather on the deck or around the TV watching your favorite show. Everyone has their own bedroom or space to gather or settle with a good book. I hope you found the "perch" that is behind the firewood for some of the best views in the Blue Ridge.

Relaxing and Remote location

There are alot of activities to do in the area hiking, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, or just site seeing etc. We also found a few good places to eat in the town of Sparta about 15 mins away.

So glad you found all there is to do in the Sparta area. This up and coming town within 2 hours of Charlotte and Winston Salem offers more and more each year without the crowds of Boone or Ashville. Then don't forget the views from our deck. Please come back and see us and explore more of the area such as the wineries, breweries or antiquing. There's so much to do.

Wonderful weekend

The house is beautiful and the view just cannot be beaten. We have stayed here many times and the view is always different from the deck.

We love it when Ann and Andy stay with us. They treat the house as if it was their own and, as great people, they even leave the house cleaner than how they found it. Respect. Come back and see us any time.

Serenity was built to accommodate 2 golf foursomes and has been a family retreat for many years. With the family scattered throughout the southeast we have a hard time getting up to the mountains which is why we have opened our doors to you. We know you will love the peace and serenity of Rocky Acres Retreat.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The house sits on 1 acre and we also own another 5 acres adjacent to it. Our back yard is in fact a part of Stone Mountain State Park and across the gravel private drive is one house and another 50+ acres of undeveloped private property. So you are literally surrounded by dozens of acres of woods where the only neighbors are the wildlife. We are only a short walk from the Blue Ridge Parkway so some of the most beautiful scenery in the country can be seen from our deck or just a short walk down the driveway. We know you will enjoy the peaceful mountain life. Your only neighbors are the wildlife. With 2400 square feet of living space including a large patio and fire pit area your family and friends can enjoy gathering together and not feel cramped with plenty of seating space so everyone can spread out and truly relax.

Stone Mountain State Park is literally in our back yard and the Blue Ridge Parkway is a short walk away. You can walk 1.5 miles south on the Parkway to Stone Mountain Lookout. Park facilities are only a 15 minute drive from the house. 10 miles south down the Parkway is Doughton Park with a 6,000-acre landscape of open meadows and pioneer cabins and some of the best hiking around. Sparta, which is only 9 miles away has some of the best bluegrass music in North Carolina at the Muddy Creek Cafe and Music Hall. There are over thirty wineries within a 30 mile radius of our house. Just pick one or several to enjoy the day wine tasting. Antiquing is another activity you can enjoy. Include antiquing with wine tasting and have a blast. Down in Sparta is the New River State Park and New River Campground where you can enjoy the cool waters or a canoe or kayaking trip. Five golf courses are close by too. Get in 18 at either Roaring Gap Golf Course, Olde Beau Golf Club, Deer Creek Golf Course, Stone Mountain Golf Club and High Meadows Golf & Country Club. Buy some deer corn at the local store and place some in the center island in the driveway and sit on the deck and watch the deer come up to feed. The wrap around deck is large enough to put out the corn hole game (provided) and heat up the competition or just sit on one of the eight rocking chairs and enjoy the scenery. On those cold rainy days curl up by the stone gas log fireplace or enjoy the 55 inch Smart HDTV with Free Sling TV, NETFLIX and Amazon Prime or one of 200 DVD's. The full kitchen is a cooks delight with everything you need to make a cake or pie or whip up that old family favorite meal. This is the perfect place to get away from it all and experience some country living. The phone won't ring unless you give someone the number and it is so quiet outside you can hear the turkey gobbling in the woods and watch as the deer stroll by the house. You won't find a more peaceful retreat with so many amenities.
