We are always happy for a nice review from even nicer guests. Cleaning crew said it was the cleanest dirty house they've seen in a while. Hope the golf outing was also a great experience. Come see us next time you need a golf outing and bring the family along so they can experience some Serenity too.

Our goal is for our guests to experience the mountains in comfort as if they were in their own home. We try to provide all the comforts of home so you won't have to go search for it. It will all be at Serenity. We were happy to offer the flexible check-in and check-out times. We try to offer this flexibility because sometimes you just don't want to wait until the afternoon. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful mountain home. The wraparound deck was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous view of the mountains. It was not difficult to find the home especially with the directions proved by our host, Steve. He made sure the home had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. And to those of us who value cleanliness, you will not be disappointed. Steve was also an absolute pleasure to work with as he truly cares that you have a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The reclining sofas were incredibly comfortable, which is often not the case in a vacation home. The TV was also sizable enough to enjoy watching in the evenings. The primary bedroom has a very comfortable mattress and plenty of room for luggage, etc. All in all, Serenity is a very comfortable and relaxing home to stay in near Sparta and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

It's always easy to be the host to the most thoughtful guest making sure the host is comfortable. Suzanne opened communications and conveyed the reason for visiting us in the mountains. Us hosts love to know what our guest plan on doing up in the mountains so we can assist in their planning. I would love to host Suzanne again. There's lots to do in the Sparta area and we hope you come back to explore all there is to do in the mountains.

Our commitment to cleanliness ensures all our guests have the most enjoyable stay. We've been to vacation rentals that were not clean and they were not fun after having to clean up before we can start. Not good. If it isn't clean, we'll send the cleaner out to clean what they missed. I don't want you to clean. So come stay with us again so you won't have to clean.

This house is a gem, well appointed, clean and perfect for large family gatherings. The location and views are one of the best I’ve experienced in NC, and we have rented at least 10 properties for our family reunions over the last 15 years. It is located just off the northern section of the BlueRidge Parkway and so close to Stone Mountain State Park which itself is a gem. The additional tables and chairs perfectly accommodated our extended family dinner of 17, it was nice not to have to bring additional chairs and tables to the property.Communication with the property management team was excellent, and smooth Don’t hesitate to rent this property!

We love it when our guests share their experiences at Serenity. There are so many things to do in the Sparta area it seems like there's something for everyone. Even the little puppies that join their Humans. They love all the smells in the woods from Bear (yes), Deer, Turkey, chipmunks and yes there are some squirrels running around and some we don't know about. Keep them close though. Who knows when they'll find something to chase. Keep your puppies safe. And please come see us next time you need a retreat in the mountains. There

Great views from the deck! House was lovely with everything you need. Easy to get to with convenient parking for multiple vehicles. House is very comfortable with plenty of seating in living & dining room. Bedrooms are comfortable & there's basic toiletries if you forgot anything. Washer & dryer were a godsend so packing can be kept to a minimum. Steven is very responsive to any questions. We brought our dog for the first time & using the dog sheets on the furniture was pure genius. Unfortunately the weather kept us from being able to use the fire pit but we would have if the weather had cooperated. Downtown Sparta is close, highly recommend the Sparta Candle Company for soaps, candles & much more & Duane was there during our visit. The Muddy Creek has good food & music on Friday nights & is a lot of fun. The ice cream place down the road is incredible. There are several wineries within 30 minutes or so that we really enjoyed plus a new wine bar in Sparta called The Cellar, great wine selections & ambience. Stone mountain park is close by with many things to enjoy. We went to Widow Falls, short walk, big payoff. This is a great house that can accommodate a family very comfortably!

Sounds like you packed in just about everything you can do in the Sparta area. You think being up in these peaceful mountains that there could be so much to do. We apologize for the bad weather but still sounds like you got out and did a lot. Fire pit is nice because you can just sit there and watch the view. And isn't that ice cream great? What a nice surprise in the middle of nowhere. We like to make Serenity as comfortable as home and that means our puppy dogs need to be comfortable too. Come back and see us next time you need a retreat in the mountains.

Mountain retreat

Great 4 days with friends. Fall colors were beautiful. Loved the house and location. Hope to return again.

The cabin is beautiful, clean, spacious, the view is absolutely amazing overlooking the blue ridge mountains! Host was fabulous, gave info on activities in the area, loved the rocking chairs on the front deck and fire pit!

Wonderful girls trip!

Lovely cabin with gorgeous breathtaking views. Lots of room. The porch was amazing especially with the rocking chairs. Really enjoyed the communal space and-enough seating for the 8 of us. Highly recommend .

There is plenty of space for a large group whether you sit around the fire pit, gather on the deck or around the TV watching your favorite show. Everyone has their own bedroom or space to gather or settle with a good book. I hope you found the "perch" that is behind the firewood for some of the best views in the Blue Ridge.

Serenity was built to accommodate 2 golf foursomes and has been a family retreat for many years. With the family scattered throughout the southeast we have a hard time getting up to the mountains which is why we have opened our doors to you. We know you will love the peace and serenity of Rocky Acres Retreat.

The house sits on 1 acre and we also own another 5 acres adjacent to it. Our back yard is in fact a part of Stone Mountain State Park and across the gravel private drive is one house and another 50+ acres of undeveloped private property. So you are literally surrounded by dozens of acres of woods where the only neighbors are the wildlife. We are only a short walk from the Blue Ridge Parkway so some of the most beautiful scenery in the country can be seen from our deck or just a short walk down the driveway. We know you will enjoy the peaceful mountain life. Your only neighbors are the wildlife. With 2400 square feet of living space including a large patio and fire pit area your family and friends can enjoy gathering together and not feel cramped with plenty of seating space so everyone can spread out and truly relax.

Stone Mountain State Park is literally in our back yard and the Blue Ridge Parkway is a short walk away. You can walk 1.5 miles south on the Parkway to Stone Mountain Lookout. Park facilities are only a 15 minute drive from the house. 10 miles south down the Parkway is Doughton Park with a 6,000-acre landscape of open meadows and pioneer cabins and some of the best hiking around. Sparta, which is only 9 miles away has some of the best bluegrass music in North Carolina at the Muddy Creek Cafe and Music Hall. There are over thirty wineries within a 30 mile radius of our house. Just pick one or several to enjoy the day wine tasting. Antiquing is another activity you can enjoy. Include antiquing with wine tasting and have a blast. Down in Sparta is the New River State Park and New River Campground where you can enjoy the cool waters or a canoe or kayaking trip. Five golf courses are close by too. Get in 18 at either Roaring Gap Golf Course, Olde Beau Golf Club, Deer Creek Golf Course, Stone Mountain Golf Club and High Meadows Golf & Country Club. Buy some deer corn at the local store and place some in the center island in the driveway and sit on the deck and watch the deer come up to feed. The wrap around deck is large enough to put out the corn hole game (provided) and heat up the competition or just sit on one of the eight rocking chairs and enjoy the scenery. On those cold rainy days curl up by the stone gas log fireplace or enjoy the 55 inch Smart HDTV with Free Sling TV, NETFLIX and Amazon Prime or one of 200 DVD's. The full kitchen is a cooks delight with everything you need to make a cake or pie or whip up that old family favorite meal. This is the perfect place to get away from it all and experience some country living. The phone won't ring unless you give someone the number and it is so quiet outside you can hear the turkey gobbling in the woods and watch as the deer stroll by the house. You won't find a more peaceful retreat with so many amenities.
