The condo itself is great - large and clean and walking distance to town. The only issue was the parking which is a bit limited if you have more than one vehicle.
Upper level of house. Convenient to downtown. Beds were comfortable and furnishings good. Large bathroom with laundry. Everything was clean and in good condition. Good supply of towels and such. Appreciated the coffee pod supply. Didn't use kitchen much but seemed a little sparce on utensils such as a bottle opener, etc., but not a big problem. Would definitely stay there again.
The unit was nice but AC consisted of two small window units. They were adequate for sleeping but the rest of the house was blistering hot all evening. Need a 3rd window unit in the main part of the house. Our fans didn't cut it. Otherwise it was a nice place in a good location.
First impressions were not very good when pulling in and parking there was garbage laying around steps and the front doors screen was ripped and hanging there along with a dirty ashtray sitting right beside it. This is an old house and the unit is upstairs with VERY LOW ceilings my son who is 6'5 was constantly ducking and banging his head on ceilings and just missing door frames. Both couches in living area are broken, uncomfortable and in need of replacement the tv stand is even broken but it works so no issues there. The road noise in the main bedroom is very loud but where I live we have hardly any so that might just be me. Don't get me wrong the place isn't awful it's just....quirky. Yes it needs updating and yes it has it's flaws but for the cost and what you get instead of a hotel room I would recommend and will more then likely be reserving again next time we are in Adrian and need a place to crash for a night or two. The property owner was very quick with responses and even let us check in a bit early when we requested. Give this place a try and see for yourself.
First, street view in Maps shows the house next door. (Hosts can't control that) They leave the porch light on so you can identify the house numbers, just slow down as you approach so you can read them. Other reviews have mentioned the street noise, and that is a thing, but turning on the AC unit (just on fan) drowned things out in the smaller bedroom just fine (I didn't use the front room) It is an old house, and I could hear sounds from the people downstairs, but not distinct voices, just the sounds of the kids playing :) I was attending a woodworking class so having a washer and dryer was GREAT! There was apparently a bit of confusion on my checkout, since the cleaner(?) Host(?) came in at 7:30 am and I was not yet ready, but she was very gracious. I would definitely stay here again - the hosts are very friendly and the location and house are great! Walking distance to downtown, very short drive to SBWI/Adrian Arts Center.
Loved how convenient the location is to attractions downtown: Croswell's Opera House and Tea Room, Hooligan's, the historical museum, even Hooligan's Grill.
This place was very nice, spacious and clean inside. The check in process was very easy and didnât have any problems whatsoever. This space could easily sleep 7 guests, but the parking only comfortably fits one car. Although the place was very well maintained, it was a bit noisy at night. Overall, Iâd definitely stay here again for the price. It was very cozy.
The property was as described. The attention to detail was amazing. The check-in process was seamless. The apartment had everything needed for a comfortable stay
Overall, our stay was alright. The rental is more spacious on the inside than it looks on the outside.
A few things that need improvement:
-There were opened bags and containers of food in the fridge and freezer along with a big spill in the freezer. Otherwise, the space was clean.
-There's no heat in the second bedroom. You can get it warmed up a bit if you keep the door open, but that doesn't allow any privacy if you also want to be warm.
-There were some random things that seemed like they should have been provided that weren't. For example, there was a notebook with a written request in it for us to share what brought us to the area, but no pen. There was also no dish soap or sponge to do dishes...there were dish washer pods, but it seemed weird to not be able to just do a few dishes in the sink without going to the store and buying a whole bottle of dish soap for a short stay.
-The air conditioning units were still in the windows, just covered....so, the the windows weren't completely sealed.
This can't really be remedied, but just so you know if you're looking at renting this space: it's on a busy street...so there are cars going by all day and night....and the master bedroom is at the front of the house. We didn't get very good sleep staying here under those circumstances.
We enjoyed our stay at Gideonâs apartment. The apartment itself was very nice and it was walkable to downtown Adrian. My only complaint is that it could have been a little cleaner. Overall, it was a nice weekend getaway.
We recently stayed long term at this property while working in the area. The host was very easy to work with the entire stay. We would recommend this property to anyone!
Very clean and spacious. The kitchen was my favorite space, felt like home. The couch and futon look nice but arenât very comfortable. The small bedroom cute and had a few books/toys. The main bedroom was super large but the bed was too hard for my liking and being next to Main Street the sound of traffic all night was hard to sleep through.
