This two-story condo is a walker's delight, with all sorts of amenities and activities available just outside the front door. You'll have access to two pools - one specific to Manualoha down the hill and one within the Poipu Kai Association up the hill - as well as a hot tub, grills, and tennis courts (tennis requires an additional fee). When you're ready to hit the beach, pack up the provided beach toys and follow the Poipu Kai Green Belt, a paved walking/exercise trail that takes you right to Brennecke's Beach in a matter of minutes (with Poipu Beach just beyond; both are great spots to soak up the sun). Families will love the Baby Beach in Poipu, a shallow water beach perfect for very young guests to enjoy. In the other direction are Shipwreck's Beach and the Mahaulepu Heritage Trail, a great coastal hike that takes you along rugged cliffs and the sand dunes of Poipu. This spot on Kauai's sun-splashed South Shore is also close to the Poipu Shopping Village (less than a mile), an assortment of wonderful restaurants, Spouting Horn, and the National Tropical Botanical Garden (both are three miles west).

The two-level layout is wonderfully open, with tropical breezes that regularly come through and circulate with the help of ceiling fans (as well as air conditioning in the main bedroom). As you come in from a day at Brennecke's or Poipu Beach, you'll be greeted by a carpeted living room with large windows and glass doors that lead out to the patio. A four-person breakfast bar connects the space to the kitchen, where you'll find richly hued cabinetry, elegant countertops, and every essential appliance. There's space to dine both at the indoor table and outside on the patio, with well-maintained gas grills stationed throughout the resort.
It has a private washer/dryer on the ground floor and entertain yourselves all evening with a selection of games and DVDs, flatscreen TVs in the living room and the bedrooms, and free WiFi. But there's no entertainment quite like the sunsets you'll enjoy from the upstairs lanai, which is accessed through the loft-like bedroom on the second floor.
