I was let down by the fact that there was an advertisement for elevators and our building was one of the few that did not have an elevator. Makes it difficult when you have an elderly grandparent with you. It was a beautiful view of the inter coastal waterway. The only other complaint we had was with the number of people. It seemed like there were way more people in the common areas than should be. Made me question whether some were putting more people in a room than were allowed.
This was our first visit to Myrtle Beach which we enjoyed very much. Location of the resort was convenient to the areaâs attractions/beaches. We enjoyed the resortâs outside pools, ping pong, pool tables, & corn hole. The scheduled activities were very limited (4-6 people), some without guidanceâŠwhich we thought was odd for such a big resort.
The grounds were beautiful and well manicured.
The room was very spacious with limited decor, but sufficient. Itâs cleanliness was another thing. The kitchen counters/stovetop were sticky and toilet bowls/vanities & tub needed to be wiped downâŠGlad I travel with Clorox wipes. Donât believe the floors were washed, but at least swept for the most part. So much for Covid disinfecting. We had an issue with cockroachesâŠsaw 1-2/day the first 4 days. The general manager was very apologetic and helped to resolve the situation. We were told maintenance sprayed, but when more showed up we were told an outside contractor went in to spray again. Our remaining 3 days were bug free however the creepy feeling and always looking for crawling critters didnât leave.
We realize hiring to have sufficient staffing for such a large property is difficult, but a little more attention to detail would go along way.
Overall we did enjoy our stay. In all fairness, the GM did offer us a new room however with three days remaining and to pack/move a family of 5 along with a kitchen of food was too much work. We understand things can happen outside of our control (bugs) and people can have bad days (maids), but hope for more attention to room cleanliness for their future guests. The office and maintenance staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful.
We were very pleased with our stay at Bluegreen resorts, Harbour Lights. The staff was very friendly and always visible. There was a security guard at night checking all vehicles entering the property and during the day they were always riding through the lots. The condo was very spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. Our kids enjoyed it too. It was nice to not be in the hustle and bustle of beachfront properties, yet so close to activities at the same time.

Property was very spacious. Security at night checked who was entering. Staff was always present constantly checking property and cars. It was not in a busy area but so close to all activities easily.
Our vacation was good, great for a getaway from the fast pace of the everyday stress. Beautiful setting. Would recommend this rental for couples, families with children or with disabilities. Lots of amenities and fun things for the families to do on site.
Bluegreen Resort.
We arrived late Saturday night (10pm) and the staff was still there with all of our packet ready to go. Condo was first floor in #112. Very Clean and Comfortable. The beds were all pillowtop and we slept great every night. HBO and HBO plus are included in the cable which was nice!
The pools were fantastic. Both were very clean and never crowded. The staff/bartenders were very helpful and the mixed drinks were awesome. Food was a little pricey but it was good at Knots. Caught fish from both of the ponds (brim and bass). Also caught some bass from the Intracoastal waterway.
The clubhouse was great. Fitness room was small and always had people in it. They even have a guest gift shop with all the sunscreen and gifts you could want. They even had fishing poles and bait for rent. Huge TV in the clubhouse next to the indoor pool for watching golf or football.
Location was fine. Its about 10 minutes from the beach. I highly recommend that you get the free pass to Huntington Beach State Park. Beach was cleaner, 1/3 of the people on it, and calmer waters. Also, you can see lots of wildlife including gators.
The only complaint I have is they will try to get you to take a tour of the facility to persuade you into buying a timeshare. Obviously, we did not like that as we bought our rental on Homeaway so we did not have to deal with that.
Overall this trip was great in this condo. We could not have asked for anything better.
