Wonderful family home

This home had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. Felt much more like our own home than a rental. Well maintained and the owners were great communicators and went above the usual to ensure that our stay was pleasant.

The 6'x5' outdoor shower with rain head and hand help shower head is also one of favorite things about the house! ... it's perfectly nestled in a private spot in the large yard. Couldn't have asked for more.

My friends and family had an awesome stay here at Roseann and David's property. The house was exactly as advertised and well maintained/cleaned. Roseann's communication was excellent. We really appreciated all the helpful tips and locations. If you are looking to stay in the York area, definitely consider staying at Sea Light View.

Amazing!

What a wonderful place!! The location was perfect and the home was amazing! Adorable. Very clean and very comfortable. The beds were comfortable too, which is hard to find. The host was easy to reach and she provided great suggestions! We will definitely be back if we do another girl’s trip in Maine. Highly recommend.

Girls weekend

Group of 6 women on a winter weekend enjoyed this property so much that some didn’t want to leave! Plenty of comfy spaces on both floors to hang & chill out. Roseann was one of the best most accommodating host we’ve worked with renting homes throughout the years ensuring we had everything for our getaway & comfort Thank you so much for sharing your beach house with us. The property owner, Roseann, was so gracious and quick to respond with answers thruout the whole process. The home is well equipped, comfortable mattresses and even comes with baby porta crib and toys. We would definitely rent again if the opportunity presents itself. Thank you Roseann!

My college friends and I had a fabulous time at The Beach House in York, Maine. The house met all our needs: number of beds, bedrooms, and bathrooms. There were also plenty of eating areas both inside and outside on the patios.Our property manager, Roseann was absolutely wonderful during the whole process of booking the house, and was very informative about things to do, places to go and restaurants to try in York, and surrounding Ogunquit and Wells.She really cared about our experience and was always available to answer our questions! She also encouraged us to try our hand in having a Lobster fest in the house. By providing all the necessary supplies, we had a fun time cracking claws and laughing about it, etc.I would definitely recommend this property to fellow travelers!!

We love when people come from all over to experience Maine for the first time and I was happy to act as a tour guide or concierge!. It can be daunting planning a vacation, so I’m glad my “Things To Do Guide” was helpful. The beaches are lovely, but there’s so much more to do and explore. I was delighted to see you grabbed some lobster and attempted cracking and eating to get that quintessential Maine experience. Our kitchen comes fully stocked which includes all the lobster tools as well as “how to eat Lobster step-by-step” plates. It’s messy, but worth it! Best, Roseann

Charming Coastal Retreat

We traveled to Maine for our niece's wedding at the View Point Hotel and the home was incredibly convenient (short walk). Walked in to find a ready-to-light fireplace and fresh hydrangeas on the table! The kitchen and entire cottage were extremely well-equipped with little extras you might need (like a flashlight). The furnishings were extremely comfortable especially the porch and gathering/seating area upstairs. Cannot say enough about communication with the host - Roseann answered questions almost immediately and checked in periodically to make sure we were comfortable with no issues. If you're looking for a comfortable family home on The Nub to kick back and enjoy, this should be your Maine destination!!

Our house is located in a quiet, private road which lends itself to a very relaxing vacation with plenty of room inside or outside on the deck or the large yard. Re-Connecting with Family in 2020

Perfect Columbus Day weekend getaway - something the family needed in these unprecedented times. The house was the perfect rendezvous spot and delivered on everything needed for my young nephews (ages 5 & 6) to my mother with a few mobility issues. The house was close to so much (shopping, dining, attractions, etc.) and a nice area for walking the neighborhood. The owners were very attentive even asking if we had any requests and while I never met Roseann I felt like I knew her. When you do something strictly by an internet search it is always helpful when the owners communicate to put you at ease and they did that in spades. Would gladly return to the area of York and this house in the future,,,,,

Perfect family beach house

The property was as listed, spacious, bedrooms were set up to meet our family’s needs which included an infant ( pack n play, high chair, infant bathtub), but there were many extras making it extremely comfortable. The outdoor shower is the nicest one I’ve stepped foot in and the Hans grohe shower apparatus helped to introduce our 3 year old to showers. The yard and porches have lots of seating. We enjoyed grilling and Al fresco dining. Location is fabulous, easy walk to the beach, the lighthouse and the center of town. Roseann is a most gracious host. She sent info about the area prior to our arrival, and remains accessible if needs arise. We are contemplating making this an annual family event.

Thanks for your fabulous review. I’m glad you mentioned the outdoor shower.! There is nothing like an outdoor shower after the beach or a hot summer day. Ours is very large and in private area of the large yard. So glad your grandson loved it too. The handheld shower head has an adjustable height making it easy to hose down the little ones :-) we host mostly families and having all the kid and baby gear makes it easy for those traveling with children, from potable crib, high chair, bed railing, etc.. We look forward to hosting you again!

Nestled into breathtaking nature...

This property is IDEAL for anyone seeking a quiet beach trip without the tourists!!! The home is immaculate and inviting. It's large enough that we could share it with good friends without being crowded or out of our price range. The two living areas allowed the kids to play playing games and watch movies on one floor, while adults enjoyed a quieter evening of nightcaps and conversation beside a cozy fire! The ocean breeze is accessible from every room of the home, and the decks (upstairs and down) prove perfect for grilling, sunrises and sunsets, & ocean views. With room enough to store our surfboards, bikes and cars we were able to enjoy all that the charming town and pristine beaches had to offer. There was ample room for our group of 8...the location, home and owners made this THE PERFECT beach trip. This is truly a wonderful get-a-way...and we can't wait to return!

Thank you for your great review! We feel our home is unique in that it doesn't feel like a tired crowded beach rental -- but more like a warm and inviting home we're you can relax. Newly renovated, it has comfortable new mattresses, pillows, linens, a fully stocked kitchen with new stove and Weber grill. But when you want some excitement you are close to all that York has to offer with great shops, restaurants, beaches, surfing, fishing, boating, and quick car rides to surrounding coastal towns that all have their own quaint feel. And York is a little over an hour from Boston and close to PEASE airport in Manchester, NH. Thanks for booking summer 2018!

Fabulous house!

The house was perfect for our week long stay! House was neat, clean and nicely decorated with comfortable furniture that you could just put your feet up and feel at home. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need for cooking any meal. We used the grill as well and there are two outside areas for dining - each with lovely views. The upstairs with the large flat screen TV was perfect for a laid back evening - again, you could just kick up your feet. Although we didn't use them, there were bikes, boogie boards, etc for the kids. The house is walkable from Dunne's Ice Cream - a must do! There are a couple of beaches around and we drove to the beach a couple of days but it's certainly walkable. Lots of great restaurants around even for those who may not be fond of seafood. The lighthouse is also in walking distance and beautiful at night. The house is in a quiet neighborhood so you don't have to listen to a bunch of noise yet your still close to the activity. We wanted some peace and quiet so this was perfect for us - sitting on the deck reading or swinging on the porch screen. I would highly recommend this rental and look forward to coming back again!

Great family weekend

The location of the home is perfect. Close to everything but still very peaceful. We had eight adults and there was plenty of room. Everything you need to cook a great meal. We really enjoyed the backyard for cornhole and fire pit. Plenty of room to have a family game night indoors also. We hope to return in the summer months, although it was absolutely beautiful in the fall. Very clean and comfortable. Hosts were very responsive to any questions.

Our street even has its own neighborhood access which make nightly ice cream runs too easy! And yes, we have excellent WiFi! Which you don’t get all over York, so thanks for pointing that out. Nubble family fun!

Our family had the most amazing week here on the Nubble! The house worked well for the 10 of us. The kids loved the bunk room and their parents and we grandparents all had our own rooms. The beds were VERY comfortable and most rooms had two fans. The kitchen although small was well equipped and provided us with all the essentials. There is a huge living room upstairs with a large TV. The adults escaped upstairs for games etc. while the kids slept downstairs in the bunk room. The outside decks provided comfortable and ample seating. There was a great Weber grill (very clean) that was easily accessible on the deck. We loved watching the stars and enjoyed a full moon. The outside shower was a blessing and was the preferred way to clean away the beach sand. Short walks to the Nubble and Dunne’s ice cream were almost daily occurrences. The beach is not really within walking distance so we needed to take cars to the beach by 9:30 to get parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here and hope to return in the future.

Hello David, Thank you so much for the thoughtful review. You really hit all the key features of the house. It is perfect for multigenerational families where you can come together or spread out. We also have a large yard to enjoy as well. And yes, kids love their sleepovers in the bunk room complete with Shark decor! We’re glad you enjoyed the decks, and star gazing from the upper one; on a clear night it’s fabulous just looking up while listening to the surf hit the rocks. We’re less than a mile to either long or short sands - some do walk, or get up early to find a spot. There are many lots where spots are available as well on long sands (that’s our preferred beach) as well. We’re so happy the house fit your family’s needs and hope to see you back soon! Roseann

Perfect Family Spot

This spot was exactly what we were looking for in a family friendly house! Plenty of room, kid friendly, comfortable and inviting! Our host went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone looking for the lovely quintessential Maine beach house!

Winter holidays

The house was very comfortable and well-appointed. The host was very responsive, checking in when the weather turned bad. Great area for walks and restaurants, even in the off season. House had lots of space for our group of 6 to spread out.

We were so glad to have someone enjoy our house over the holidays!! The fieldstone fireplace is great on this cold winter nights.
