Welcome to Splice The Maine Brace - a newly constructed, custom-designed home, which was completed in 2021, embodies the charming essence of coastal Maine with its inspired New England decor, expansive living, and more!

Situated just a brief five-minute stroll from York Beach, as well as local restaurants and excellent shopping, this home offers a fantastic location for guests who would like to experience all things Short Sands. Step inside to discover a cheerful and welcoming living area adorned with beautiful flooring and ample cozy seating. The entertainment space is an inviting spot for gatherings with friends and family, furnished with sofas, a gas fireplace, and a sizable flatscreen Smart TV, mounted elegantly on the wall.

York Treasure

We had an amazing stay for a Ladies weekend. The home was spacious, clean, and fully equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub, comfortable beds, and location to town and the Nubble lighthouse. We also loved spending time together in the living room with the fireplace going. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Perfect York Beach house

This a super clean, new and well stocked home. Easy walk to the beach/town/shops, etc. Garage parking. Hot tub and fire pit were perfect. But be prepared for lots of stairs, all bedrooms on third floor.

Beautiful Home

The house was enormous for a 3 bedroom, with a private back yard, a large top-end hot tub and a gas fired firepit. The kitchen was very clean, spacious, modern and fully equipped. In short, everything was top-notch. But examine the "fees" closely, as they increased the cost of our stay over 20%!

Falling in love with Short Sands

Wow! My family of five just wrapped up one of our best York vacations ever at Splice the Mainebrace! We normally spend our annual vacation off Long Sands but ended up here due to renovations at our go-to house. What a wonderful surprise! The house is a 5-star property, offering everything you would ever need for an enjoyable long weekend (or more) in York. The kitchen is fully stocked and complemented by a huge kitchen table and island with tools. The bedrooms are immaculate with super comfy beds. The hot tub and fireplace ended up being the centerpiece of our stay. The hot tub is resort-quality and spacious, easily fitting our entire family. The garage is packed with kid and adult outdoor games and more than enough beach gear. With the exception of an initial trip to Hannaford's and a drive to Nubble lighthouse (5 minutes), our car sat in the driveway the entire stay because we were able to walk to everything - York Beach Brewery, Short Sands beach, restaurants, shops - all within 5-10 minute walk WITH the kids. We have been Long Sands vacationers for 20+ years, but our stay at this home has made us rethink our York vacations. We will definitely be back!

Thanksgiving week

Great vacation spot!

Great location and beautiful space! The house had everything we needed and a lot of amenities for the kids- a portable high chair and even bath toys! We loved the outdoor space and the interior decor was just beautiful!

Beautiful house in a great location!

This house was very easy. Let me qualify that- very easy if you’re ok with a lot of stairs. Fortunately, that was fine for us. Everything is easy to use, good quality, the house is spacious and super clean. The location was perfect for us with older kids too- we loved walking to town and the beach every morning. And the hot tub and fire pit were good fun at night. A great house for a family with kids beyond the toddler years. Enjoy!

York stay

This was a very nice property, but was on a main road with a fair amount of traffic. The photos of the back yard make it look like it was out by its self. The only issue was the oven did not work which really changed our plans of cooking a lot at the house. There was a sticker on the oven about it not working so I assume it has been like this for a while. Overall great location to town and the beaches.

Labor Day Weekend

Property was overall, amazing. The house itself was extremely well built offering a lot of high-end features. Our only disappointment was with the cleanliness of the floors, which we discovered after just a few hours of walking around barefoot, left our feet completely black. We also discovered grains of sand throughout the kitchen/living area. Fortunately, there was a nice new vacuum cleaner to take care of the sand, but the hardwood floors still needed a good scrubbing. Regardless, we would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Stay.

The house was awesome. The house itself was beautiful with all the amenities you need. It slept our group of 8 very comfortably. It is also in a great location. Just a short walk to everything downtown. Being able to just walk and not have to worry about finding or paying for parking was a big plus. I highly recommend this property and would definitely book again!

Great Beach Rental

We had a great stay! A short walk away from the beach, amusement park, shops and restaurants. The house was amazing with a great open floor plan, big bedrooms, and fully stocked. The outdoor gas fire pit was fun to sit by at night. Would highly recommend.

Amazing family vacation spot

It was a great location with the beach in walking distance as well as all the downtown shops/restaurants and a brewery. The house had many child-friendly amenities (noise machine, night lights, books, toys, and beach stuff) as well as many adult-friendly amenities (gas firepit, plenty of space and high quality finishes). Would come back in a heartbeat and are hoping to make this an annual trip.
