The Hideaway Enchanting Rainforest est une maison de vacances personnalisée qui se tient seule sur 2 hectares privés entourés par une forêt tropicale luxuriante qui vous donne l'expérience du vieux style hawaïen élégance simple.

Belle maison de vacances sur mesure sur 2 acres privé dans une forêt tropicale mise tout pour vous avec personne d'autre autour.

La maison est romantique, calme et propre. Parfait pour les jeunes mariés, retraite personnelle, voyageurs Eco, yogis, aventuriers, ou toute personne qui veut juste pour obtenir loin de tout, mais encore assez proche de tout ce que la grande île a à offrir.

Nous sommes situés au centre de la Puna, à 15 miles au sud de Hilo, à 5 miles à l'extérieur de la ville pittoresque de Pahoa avec tous ses restaurants et boutiques. Passez vos journées à explorer la proximité d'étangs chauds, plage de sable noir, plongée, randonnée, restaurants, cascades, Parc national des volcans, des coulées de lave actuelles, sommet de Mauna Kea, musées, et bien plus encore.

Vous pourrez vous détendre sur les meubles en bambou plus de taille dans le grand salon moustiquaire et entendre les chansons des oiseaux et des grenouilles des forêts tropicales que vous regardez sur le paysage de jungle luxuriante ..

La chambre dispose d'un confortable queen Sealy posture Pedic. Compte élevé de fil draps organiques sont fournis pour votre confort. Fabriqués à la main, sur mesure doubles portes donnent sur la véranda.

La cuisine a un grand réfrigérateur, cuisinière / four, armoires et tuiles personnalisées, casseroles, poêles, grille-pain, cafetière, mixeur, assiettes, verres, bols, couverts, café et moulin à café, thé, condiments et épices. Portes de verre coulissantes se ouvrent sur la véranda.

Il ya un téléphone, internet, laveuse / sécheuse, douche extérieure, barbecue, planche de surf, la plongée avec tuba, tente, des guides et d'autres pensivement fournies touches spéciales pour rendre votre séjour très confortable et relaxant.

La salle de bains art nouveau inspiré dispose d'une baignoire sur pieds d'époque et un lavabo sur colonne. Serviettes moelleuses et des bulles sont fournis.

We have stayed in the rainforest hideaway three times now and can safely say that it is our happy place.We chased the sun for a week, got to see a historic volcanic eruption, enjoyed fresh-picked tangerines from the tree at by the gate and got the relaxation we needed.If only we could beam ourselves to Puna like in Star Trek, we would visit every break we had.

Connie & Andrew were warm and welcoming. We only saw them to get the keys. The Hideaway, a comfortable and cozy spot, is perfect for two people. The kitchen was stocked with all the right equipment for cooking at home. The bed was comfortable. We loved the outdoor shower, with fast-working hot water. The coqui frog symphony at night might not be for everyone, but I loved it, and found it relaxing. We would definitely come back, and highly recommend it.

We were more than pleased with the Rain Forest Hide Away. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a high priced resort our first night on the island. This Rain Forest Hide Away put the high priced resort to shame.

This house had everything we needed for out stay. We enjoyed the beautiful tropical landscaping. Very private setting, with large wrap around lanai. My only negative comment is that the living room furniture was not very comfortable.

It’s a very nice location, peaceful, chicken and pigs running around, also a cat, it has lots of birds, the frogs at night can be quite load and hard to get use to, but overall, very 😊

Awesome Hideaway

Very peaceful place with a lot of privacy. The outdoor shower was wonderful, pics represented the home precisely. Enjoyed coffee on the lanai while watching the chickens scurry about the property. The cats were fans of all the petting and so fun to feed them while away from our own. Each and every thing was as described in listing. Don’t miss this special hideaway.

Close to Volcanoes National Park

It was a nice relaxing three days. Very close to Volcanoes National Park which has amazing views! No tv but good internet service. We didn't utilize the kitchen because we ate at different restaurants but it was pretty well stocked. Connie was an excellent host. We only saw her at check in but was available if needed.

Too wonderful for words

Hard to describe how amazing our time was at the Puna rainforest hideway. So charming. Love the nature and animals. The chickens are a riot and sweet feral cat, plus the occasional pig spotting. We miss it already! We cannot say enough good things. We needed this: nature, indoor/outdoor living, getting away from busy lives. We truly slowed down. The outdoor shower under the stars, the fresh fruits in abundance on the property, the farm life feel, everything about it was magical. Fantastic

The pictures don’t do it justice: it’s even better than it looks!! Calm, clean, beautiful inside and out. Absolutely everything you need (except your food) is available. Plenty of linens, beach towels, happy little things to make your stay great. LOVED the jungle/animal sounds throughout the day. Extremely relaxing…wonderful when it rains. Outside shower is the best….and even clean (no mold or yucky-ness despite being outside). Connie made herself available though we had no problems and didn’t need her.

"A Hidden Paradise in the Jungle – Peace, Beauty, and Aloha!"

This secluded hideaway in the lush Puna District was everything we hoped for and more. The attention to detail throughout the home and surrounding grounds was absolutely impeccable. We especially loved the screened windows that let the fresh tropical trade winds flow through, creating a peaceful and airy atmosphere. Falling asleep to the sound of the Coqui frogs and sipping morning coffee on the deck while watching the birds and wild chickens was pure bliss. Andrew was a wonderful host, generously sharing insights about the property and making us feel right at home. A special touch we’ll never forget—fresh flowers from the garden in every room! As other guests have said, the outdoor shower was amazing—taking showers after a humid day with a light jungle rain falling around us was an unforgettable experience. While everything was perfect, a couple of small additions like a variety of pillow options and a slightly larger outdoor barbecue would make it even more ideal, creating an inviting atmosphere for cooking and spending more time outdoors. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return one day. Mahalo for an unforgettable experience!

Tasteful, comfortable, and well-equipped

We spent ten days here, and it felt like home. The decor is tasteful, the space is clean, and the property is well-maintained. The living room is more like a screened porch, which makes it a perfect place for relaxing. The claw toothed bathtub became a favorite spot of mine. Also very relaxing. The kitchen had everything I would want and more. The description was totally accurate (there really are mosquitoes, but our hosts provided both spray and salve). Proximity to the Hilo and Keaau farmers markets made cooking really fun. The location is great -- we went into Hilo often but went to Volcano National Park even more frequently. We hiked along the Saddle Road, also incredibly convenient. Our hosts were accommodating, warm and friendly. We had a great stay.

Beautiful Hawaii in a Very Magical Way

This was a very new way to experience Hawaii - this magical little house in the middle of the rainforest. Imagine, you are sitting in your living room and still have the full camping experience (without the bugs) - here it is possible, because there are no glass windows just fly-screens. I can get quite loud though with the coqui frogs, but for us that just added to the whole jungle feel. The house is well equipped, and individually decorated. It's a special place that reflects the love and care the owners invested in it - thanks again Connie and Andrew! The shower in the garden is a great place to start the day of wash off the dust and sweat of a long day. The location is great for exploring this side of the island: You can explore Puna, north of Hilo, Vulcano and the National Park - it's all within one hour drive. We can recommand the place wholeheartedly!

Thank you for you kind review. We really enjoyed meeting you and your family and getting to know you, even tho it ws short. I must make 1 small correction tho. The bedroom does have glass windows and a locking door for security and temperature control. The rest of the house is screened for the full rainforest experience.

Absolutely Amazing

I can’t even begin to tell you how spiritual, restful and wonderful it was staying at the Enchanted Rainforest Hideaway! Connie and Andrew were the best hosts ever! The Hideaway is absolutely beautiful, well stocked and private!! Connie met me upon arrival and reviewed everything with me. It is the most restful place I have ever stayed in on a trip. The coqui frogs are very soothing to listen to as you fall into your slumber every night. There is a little black cat, that I think lives next door and visits often. The landscaping is beautiful, and the home is set back from the street with a secure gate for privacy. Connie was so kind during the review of the property and then I didn’t need anything because of her and Andrew’s attention to detail. The Hideaway is beautifully decorated and comfortable. There is a washer and dryer, microwave, coffee pot, dishes…. everything you need. I love the outdoor shower and even used it in the middle of the night when I had to get to the airport for a very early departure. This place was exactly what I needed to check out of life, rest, reflect and rejuvenate! I will definitely be coming back. I didn’t want to leave when it was time to come home. We are a fun loving, adventurous couple, living in the jungles of east Hawaii. We have traveled, and travel, extensively. We love visiting exotic locations and meeting people from all over the world. Connie is a semi- retired, celebrity wardrobe stylist originally from Hollywood. Andrew, born in Australia, is a building contractor and FEO Officer/tanker driver for the Hawaiian Paradise Park Volunteer Fire Department . Connie currently is a yoga instructor who runs her own studio on a 40 acre permaculture farm in Pahoa and leads yoga retreats on the island of Paros, Greece during the summer. Choosing a simpler life, we moved to Pahoa in 2001 to fulfill our dream of off-grid, sustainable living. Our home is up the road from the Rainforest Hideaway on a separate property we developed ourselves with machetes and a lot of sweat. We hand built our rammed earth home, made from volcanic cinder and inorganic soil from old sugar cane fields, and grow most of own own food organically.

The Enchanting Rainforest Hideaway is a unique and very private property. Located in a rare old growth jungle/rainforest area of Puna with many native and exotic plants and trees, yet still just a mile from the highway, 200 ft. off a paved road. (unpaved road is maintained and fine for rental cars) The perfect location to get away from it all but still be close enough to all the sights, restaurants and activites. Many other places you share the house or property with others, but not here. This is 2 acres all to yourself, beautifully landscaped with many extra touches to make your stay more relaxing and enjoyable.
