Rod run mini vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin has beautiful views of wears valley, good sunsets, and feels very private despite other cabins in close proximity, we came for the rod run and had a wonderful time overall, I would recommend this cabin for sure, but there are some things you need to know. There are no bathrooms accessible from common areas, the fireplace allows you to see into the master bedroom, and sometimes the water has sulfur smell, none of it would stop me from renting this one again. Overall a great cabin!

Gorgeous Views!

Private, quiet, clean, beautiful! My parents and grandparents appreciated having 2 bedrooms on the main floor so they didn’t have to climb the stairs. Each room had a private patio/balcony for when you need some quiet time alone. Owner was very courteous (even when a bear knocked over the grill!) and quick to respond. Would recommend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great view. Quiet location. All rooms were comfortable and well appointed. DR table easily seated 8. Kitchen was adequately stocked with cooking stuff but short on cutting boards. The afternoon sun was bothersome for LR seating. The deck was split which made it impossible to have the whole group together. Hot tub was a bit small. Lower level TV was difficult to operate and not great image quality. Pool table needed chalk and another one or two cue sticks and a bridge. Parking limited to four cars.

Amazing view

Everything was excellent except the water pressure. It’s a shared well and at times there was no water or slight stream. The water is very soft and takes time to rinse soap off. We managed fine but thought of teenage girls or picky people. It was something that would be helpful to know ahead of time. Everything else was great.

My only complaints would be that I thought the pool would be on site and it was 30 minutes away. We went there once and then decided to go to the city pool any other time. Which is a great pool. And there was hardly any water! It is a shared well. There were times we could not shower or take a bath. I got to take one shower during the week and a bath of cold water. The views were amazing. And we got to see a bear!

Family reunion

The house was just as listed. Loved that everyone had king rooms with their own bathroom. We didn’t have the water issue as stated in several other reviews. Now getting there was slightly sketchy. We followed GPS and some how it took us to the dirt road. That was scary…we learned later we did not have to go that way. It was a good laugh and there was no injury to vehicle or person. The asphalted road to the cabin became a breeze after the first time. The only complaint we had really is the no ice maker and the TVs were very old. They could definitely use an upgrade considering the price of TVs this should really be done. The view is OUTSTANDING!! There was a storm our first night. We watched the lighting popping on the other side of the valley…from inside. That was cool!!

It is a very beautiful cabin and is perfect for families or couples as it has 4 separate bedrooms each with own bathroom and porch. The only thing I would hesitate on is renting the cabin in the winter. I do not believe a normal car could handle getting up some of the hills. But the view is amazing!!

February 2023 Stay

This cabin was perfect for our 4 family getaway. We had plenty of space for all of us. The views were amazing! Winding roads to the cabin were scary for these Florida people but we survived! Perfect distance from the strip in Pigeon Forge and not far at all from Garlic inburg.

Gorgeous Cabin

The cabin was nice and the views were amazing. It's a steep climb up but that is expected for the views. We had four adults and five kids. The two separate floors were nice because we pretty much gave the downstairs to the kids. There was no big mess upstairs! I had a few questions during the stay and the management company was easy to get a hold of. The main/big issue we had was water pressure. It was very bad and non existent at times. We could barely take a shower and wash clothes at the same time. And I mean one shower, not all of them at the same time. At some point during the trip the kitchen sink lost all pressure and quit working sporadically. It was cold and during a shower the water cut off completely, twice, during the same shower. Standing there in the cold covered in soap was not fun. If you're offering a house with four bathrooms I feel you should be able to use more than one at a time. I corresponded with the management company via email after our trip and they said they have never had a complaint about the water. I encouraged them to check the reviews here on VRBO because it's mentioned several times. If the water pressure was fixed I would absolutely stay here again!

Great View from a dirty cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been renting cabins from Cove Mountain for a very long time and this was the first time I have been disappointed with the cabin and the staff of Cove Mountain. The cabin has great views and had enough room for my entire family. The shared well situation was not fun. You would sometimes not even have enough water to take a shower or the water got ice cold before you could finish the shower. The cabin was not very clean and had cobwebs and dust everywhere. The laundry room had mold on the floors in the corners which you could smell as soon as you opened the door. I called and spoke to April about it, all she said was that she would speak to her Supervisor and I never heard back from her or anyone from Cove Mountain. With the amount of money spent to rent the cabin & what is charged for cleaning you would expect the cabin to be clean. Also the dishwasher does not clean the dishes good. The cable in the downstairs bedroom didn’t work either and we followed the instructions left on how to turn the cable on for each room. After this experience and the lack of concern for the mold situation, I’m not sure I will rent from Cove Mountain again.
