Here's a few common questions and answers that will help you decide if the Cougar Den is a good fit for your getaway.
Is The Cougar Den the right place for children?
The Cougar Den is the perfect place for children and families. There's ample entertaining space in the living room, and the guest bedroom is equipped with plenty of entertainment if the adults require some "adult" time. The washer and dryer are handy in case the kids have an accident or want to rock their favorite outfit every day.
Can we cook at the Cougar Den?
Yes! You'll love the flexibility of being able to go out or stay in to cook. The kitchen has pots, pans, plates, glassware, utensils. If you're unsure about what we might have, ask us. The gas range and oven gives you the ability to whip up a meal for eight or a beautiful brunch. You'll have no problem feeding the hungry bears.
We provide a coffeemaker, toaster, and microwave.
Are the fireplaces functional?
Yes, there's no better feeling than relaxing in front of the fire after a day in nature. Both are gas powered and will keep the mountain vibes flowing throughout the evening.
Should I bring linens or towels?
Nobody wants to travel with their sheets and pillowcases. Our linens will rival any hotel, and our cleaning crew will take care of everything when you leave. We provide linens for all beds and we wash every piece of bedding before your visit. We'll also make sure there are plenty of towels for everyone.
What's the television/movie situation?
T.V. is optional in Big Bear but you won't miss anything on our three HD televisions. All three are equipped with cable (Youtube TV) and Netflix. There's plenty to watch if you want to.
Please note: For guests safety the front door area is monitored by video.
Guests will have access to the entire house, backyard, and garage.
We like to give our guests space during their stay and we're always available as we are local.
The house is situated in one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Big Bear, lower moonridge. You'll have easy access to the mountain resorts, the new Big Bear zoo, and village. Go for a walk and experience some local flavor.
