A premium Generac generator will automatically power the cabin during outages, making The Velvet Pine one of the few homes in Big Bear able to continue operating normally during storms or power interruptions.

Moonridge feels tucked away and serene, with towering pines, open skies, and a true forest atmosphere, yet it’s just minutes from Bear Mountain Ski Resort, hiking trails, golf, the Alpine Zoo, and some of Big Bear’s favorite local spots. The area offers a quieter, more relaxed pace than the village, making it ideal for guests who want privacy, space, and a genuine cabin-in-the-woods experience without sacrificing convenience. Moonridge is known for its charm, safety, and year-round appeal, and it felt like the perfect setting to create a retreat where guests can slow down, reconnect, and truly enjoy the magic of the mountains
