Cette charmante maison familiale est en retrait de la route principale, loin de la circulation et sur une impasse sous de beaux arbres et de la verdure. C'est une maison de 2 chambres et 2 salles de bain qui est à distance de marche de la plage et des commerces! Il a une grande terrasse avant et une cour arrière privée avec un excellent éclairage ambiant. Il y a des planchers de bois franc dans toute la maison. La maison a un plan d'étage ouvert et lumineux avec une cheminée électrique, une télévision à écran plat.

Comfortable Place

This place suited us fine for our purposes. My son just needed a respite place to be for awhile. The house is a bit worn but it is clean and comfortable and had what we needed. The setting is peaceful. We could hear frogs at night and see hawks in the trees, and the proximity to everything is great. Bailey properties was very responsive to a few issues that we had. If you are looking for something comfortable this is fine but if you are fussy about everything being well maintained you might want to look elsewhere. But we enjoyed our stay.

Dirty House in a Great Location

I don’t mind an older quirky house. Unfortunately this one was also very dirty and left us questioning whether to stay for the duration of our visit. The counter surfaces are clean, but the walls are filthy and had Us questioning the overall cleanliness of the house. There were lots of spider webs in the ceiling, which frightened my daughter when she actually saw spiders in them. Middle of the night spider hunting is not ideal. We saw a black widow in the shower that disappeared in a crack in the ceiling. There were also a couple big black widows outside. We were also left with the impression that the price didn’t match the accommodation or the service. The check in window was narrow. There were multiple fees which seemed to be duplicated. When I inquired the responses seemed very short and as though my questioning was an irritant. We were never checked in on or invited to ask questions. Only the irritated responses to my question about the fees. For a three night stay there was a service fee from VRBO, a rental charge from the third party property management company, a $170 linen fee, a cleaning charge. All in all the total of the services charges were equal to the charge for the rental. I don’t mind paying service charges, so long as there’s an actual service associate with the fee. For example, the bedding covers were stained and the blankets smelled like a dog had slept in them. Not very comfortable for a cold night. The location is great. The service and cleanliness don’t meet the expectation. I usually don’t leave negative reviews. We just don’t usually go back. This stay was really sub par.

Good Location, House has Potential

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although we had a nice time in Aptos--this particular property was a bit untidy--mainly the outdoor patio/decks and furniture. We weren't really able to take advantage of the outdoor spaces. The BBQ was a mess, didn't have a scrapper (we borrowed one from a friend) and the propane ran out before we finished cooking the meal. The windows are also in dire need of a good cleaning. Looking out at the beautiful trees was tough to do and a few of the window blinds need some help too.I also know that the kitchen equipment gets jumbled with renters, etc., but every once in awhile it would benefit from some organization of the pots, pans, bowls and utensils, they were all over the place.Overall though, we loved Aptos--convenient walk to the beach and we will visit again--maybe another property.

Walking distance to the beach. Neighbors are quiet, dog enjoyed it as well. Can hear the waves at night.

The Claus House

Some of the updates are good, but it needs to be updated on the interior if asking the current price per week.

Fun vacation!

Great house in quiet neighborhood. It was a little far to walk to the beach with small children and all the gear, so we ended up driving most days. Had a great time.

Great Aptos location

While the house is dated, it was very clean and comfortable. The outdoor areas are lovely, and having the extra living space downstairs was great.

Run down house and many miscellaneous charges

We were at this property from Feb 19 2022 for 2 weeks. It’s a dump. No proper heating except for the fire place. Dirty floors and basement full of animal hair, no extra clean sheets or proper bed sheets available, no laundry machines. Dusty lawn chairs. Generally unpleasant .

Aptos, CA rental

Home was an older property as advertised. That being said, it was in need of repair prior to renting it ! **Non-working shower that poured water thru pipe hole in tile!( we were told ‘shower has a leak but still works’) ** bathroom overhead sink lights in 2nd bathroom did not work except for1 dim scone**Dishwasher did not work!**porch light did not work for outside area** Only lamp in living room did not work. Back door was wide opening when we entered property! —-We did call the Mgmt office immediately about open door. In later calls to office, We were told it was a holiday weekend & no one could come out to repair/check. We were in house for 1 week !

Older, but nicer than some

Our family of 5 needed a place to stay for a week while one of our kids went off to camp in the area, and were very excited to find this house for rent for less than the cost of most hotel rooms in the area. The living area of the house is on the 2nd floor, with space to park our car (and perhaps 1 or 2 more) under the large front deck. The house itself is obviously on the older side. The wood floors and gas fireplace were newer, but otherwise everything seemed a little behind on upkeep and repair. Still perfectly clean and serviceable, though, and nothing felt unsafe, even with a curious toddler poking around. Speaking of our toddler, we found the house to be well prepared for kids, with gates at the stairs down from the front deck and back yard areas, and a small selection of kid toys, books, and puzzles. The two bedrooms were of similar size, one with a double bed, the other with a twin-over-double bunk bed, plus an air mattress. The two bathrooms are between the bedrooms laid out identically, each with a toilet, sink, and shower. No AC, but there are several tall trees that shade the house and kept it from getting too hot. Heating is done entirely by a gas fireplace hooked up to the thermostat. It stopped working once while we were there, but the property management company was very responsive—an agent came over right away. She was not able to fix the problem, but she called their repair man who was able to come the following day.

Perfect for what we needed!

Perfect location and house for a girls running trip. We spent most of the time away from the house and in the Santa Cruz area. The house has most of everything you need. The couches and covers are pretty dated and used, and shower curtains had mold all over them. But for what we paid it was well worth it!

Decent place

Nice house. Accommodated 6 people easy. Nice yard. Very quiet street. Close to the ocean. The Bailey Properties was very responsive to all our needs. I would give 5 stars if it was better maintained and better cleaned.

Disapointed in house

Only sleeps max 4 adults and 2 little kids. Sofa bed was so old, warped and thin maytress-unsleepable. I was not told until I picked up keys that the heater is broken. Steep and old stairs to climb to get in so no disabled or elderly. Wifi does not work at all. Told them with no help. This house is the first time I have been disappointed with VRBO. Deck was dirty and moldy not nice to sit out on. Not happy with this rental
