Lorsque vous êtes prêt à vous détendre et de mettre vos pieds, accepter notre accueil chaleureux à Cinq Bouleaux et profiter de tout le repos et les loisirs Door County a à offrir. Nos 2900 pieds carrés d'espace de vie comprend un maître en-suite avec une sur-dimensionnés, douche à l'italienne et de pommes de douche double, grand walk-in, et l'accès du pont. Chaque chambre (1 lit King size, deux chambres doubles et une chambre avec 2 lits jumeaux) dispose de 400 fils au pouce draps en coton égyptien.

La grande salle ensoleillée est un lieu de rassemblement parfait pour les amis et la famille, avec son sol au plafond fenêtres donnant sur le sud, cheminée en pierre (de gaz), et l'accès au pied carré pont 600. La mezzanine dispose d'un '' HDTV 51 avec lecteur Blu-ray, avec une bibliothèque de DVD, ordinateur avec accès à Internet, et est parfait pour jouer l'un des nombreux jeux que nous offrons. Our girls/friends getaway at Five Birches was great! A lovely and welcoming home with great space to relax and spend time together both inside and on the deck. Kitchen and dining space worked great. Three bathrooms for 6 women was perfect. The location is perfect - a short distance out of town yet close enough to take in all that Door County has to offer. Would definitely recommend to other friends or family. Thanks for helping make our friends getaway all we could have asked for.

Second year just as nice as the first. Wobbly front step still needs repair. Otherwise the place is perfect for eight guests. Be aware, it is in the midst of a forest environment, there will be mosquitoes but the elevated deck helps.

Although there were just a couple of things I would liked differently, I still give this VRBO a 5 star rating. The location was so convenient and the home was extremely clean and comfortable. I slept in the twin bed room and I, personally, like drapes in the bedrooms. I understand it was a totally wooded and secluded lot, but I especially like drapes for darkness in the morning. The ONLY other negative for our group of 6 (60) year old women was the walk to the fire pit, Although, not that far, it seemed inconvenient to have to walk with chairs and coolers to it, therefore we did not use it. Neither of these issues would prevent us from choosing this home again.

Great location and great property. We had 6 adults and one child and each family had their own space. We cooked in for most dinners and. The kitchen is well stocked. We also saw some fun wild life. I had a couple of questions for the host and he responded very quickly. Highly recommend staying here!

Great family home

We enjoyed our 7-day stay in Door County at this home. The location was great - very short (<5 minute) drive into Fish Creek for shopping and food. We appreciated the games, puzzles, and book selection, both for adults and our two children (ages 3 and 5). The home was exceptionally clean and the huge laundry room with mud room was a huge bonus!

family vacation

Five Birches was a great choice for our family vacation--plenty of space, beautiful decor and a perfect location to see all of Door County....from gorgeous Egg Harbor to a delicious fish boil at Rowley's Bay Resort. The quaint towns all along both coasts were fun to explore and the golf course perfect for the guys. The leaves were beginning to turn and every where we looked was colorful--the weather was perfect. We had dinner at Wickman House --it was exceptional. We also ate at Log Den, which had a woodsy setting and lovely rustic decor--very good. Overall, our stay was terrific and memorable. Many thanks to Todd and Lisa for being so accommodating with our time arrangement.

Amazing house!

We have rented many a house and Five Birches is one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Everything was what the on-line explanation touted and much more. It's a gorgeous property within minutes of shopping, restaurants and town. The "Property Book" explained anything you needed to know about the house and the surrounding areas, from how to use the thermostat to what restaurants are open in winter. Todd was easy to talk to and get a hold of. An amazing stay! Cannot wait until our next visit! Thank you!!

Great Girls Weekend

A group of us had the pleasure of staying in your home for a girls get away weekend. The location is perfect and the home is simply amazing! We did snow shoeing, attended the local Fish Creek Winter Festival, and then did some snowmobiling in Peninsula Park and up the Peninsula. The trails were perfect and you could hop on them just over a 1/4 of a mile from your back door! We had such an incredible time and your home had all the amenities needed for socializing, playing and resting! Thank you again. Our group already wants a return visit!!!

Sadly we we quite disappointed in this property especially at the price. First the good, the location is nice and close to Fish Creek and the property management was overall friendly. The property itself is not being kept up and had a number of issues. The front steps to the house were broken making it difficult for my father in law to get in the house. The bedroom with the twin bed had no curtains and a huge crack in the window making it impossible to open or close the window. None of the rooms have ceiling fans or overhead lights, only lamps. The bathroom upstairs had ants all over the sink. Toilet in the downstairs bedroom ran constantly unless you jiggled the handle just right. Carpet upstairs was stained, dirty and had a bad smell to it. Furniture on the deck was covered in algae and was unuseable. The deck was extremely rough and badly needs to be sanded and painted. You cannot walk barefoot on it. The deck was basically unusable and since it’s one of the major selling points, is a huge disappointment. The entire house was very outdated with old furniture, blankets and linens. Sadly I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

For the money minimal improvements are needed

Beautiful setting, beautiful home needs some minor improvements. Bottom outside front step is hazardous. All Towels are tired and need to be replaced. Several coffee cups chipped. Refrigerator door doesn’t close appropriately, close 1 door and the other door opened. Unable to prepare planned meals, due to oven not functioning, although the owner did make us aware of it the day before our arrival. Didn’t provide soap for showering. Accustomed to soap provided at previous VRBOS we stayed at.

Roomy house for the 8 of us. Very close to Fish Creek so easy to visit for shopping, dining and Peninsula Players. Loved the woodsy yard! Great stay!!!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful home@

Beautiful home. Lots of storage spaces/closets. The home was well stocked with kitchen stuff, games, books, and movies.The only negative was that the master bathroom shower was out of commission. We had 3 couples, it would have been nice to have 3 working showers.

Relaxing Family Stay

This was a beautiful, spacious home that provided plenty of rooms for our family. There was a nice outdoor fire pit area, but it wasn’t right behind the house. It was a short walk through the wooded property. Unfortunately the master bedroom shower was not functioning during our stay.

Beautiful home, Great location

Lovely home with plenty of room for our group. We were unable to use the master suite shower due to a leak and that was unfortunate. It would have been nice to be compensated for the inconvenience.

Spacious

There is space to be alone, space to be together and space to put things, even with a group of eight who over pack for a two week stay. Even the bathrooms are spacious with cabinets galore. The deck was great for socializing and exercising and the windows onto the forest bring the outside in. The eight seat patio table made outdoor dining pleasurable. We wanted for nothing, except for maybe a decent can opener. Simply put, this is a first class place. The VRBO method of communicating with the owner through the web site, however, needs attention. Once I was given his direct contact, everything went well.

Vous êtes reçu par Todd or Lisa

Lisa and Todd live near Baltimore, Maryland but both have paternal roots in the midwest. They love good food, good wine, and slow travel and want to share their love of hedonism with you!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

My grandfather Edward bought this property around 1970 and it passed to my father in 2004. My father and I cleared the home site together in 2008 in preparation for my parents to build, but they both passed away before construction could begin. Lisa and I had fallen in love with the area and decided to continue their plans to build a home here in Door County. My mother named it Five Birches after the grove of birch trees outside the master bedroom.

Our favorite things about Five Birches is that it is essentially our own design, the proximity to Fish Creek and the bay, and the private meadow down the trail from the house.
