9 days in the lovely remote cottage that has gotten upgrades each year we visit! This was our 3rd year at this cottage and we absolutely love the privacy, firepit, king size bed, 2 bathrooms, dogs are allowed (we have 2 corgis), and close to our favorite town of Fish Creek but also close to most towns as well!
Very cute property! Two of us stayed in the cottage for three nights, so we each had a private bedroom. We enjoyed the cabin in the woods vibe and found the living room comfortable and easy to hang out in
There were 3 adults and 2 teenagers, and the house was just right. The teens had their own space upstairs and were comfortable, even though their room didn't have air conditioning. I stayed in the other upstairs bedroom (that did have AC). The beds were impressively comfortable. The upstairs bathroom was very small, but workable. Other rooms were all nice sized. The house was spic-n-span when we arrived. It's located off the highway on a very quiet circle. A perfect spot for afternoon walks, and just a couple of minutes from either Egg Harbor or Fish Creek. There was a family of deer that visited us a few times during our week-long stay. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a quiet country location with very easy access to shopping and dining.
For our group this is between our 3rd and 6th trip to Door County. Everyone agreed this was our best overall rental. It is very central to everything. In fact one day we were gone for 10 hours to 7 different places and were never more than 5 minutes away from the cabin. Having 2 bathrooms was very helpful and the kitchen was fully equipped. The cabin is in the woods and secluded, but just off the highway.
The house is rather dark inside but lighting is adequate. Beds are quite comfortable. The "resident deer" visited almost every day. Overall a great property for a week. We'll rent again!
This is a quirky little cabin with nice wood ceilings, the kitchen was well stocked, in a nice wooded area. There is no dishwasher, and bath towels are not provided. The place seems to not be professionally cleaned, with dust and cobwebs throughout. The whole place has a very strong old smell and is very dark. There is no AC in the main bedroom. The front parking area is only dirt/gravel, and so our car got very dirty just getting in and out. The host has a ring doorbell above the front door, and is monitoring all the coming and going from the cabin, FYI. My kids last minute were able to join us, and I contacted the host to add more people and he was difficult to deal with. He accused me of having even more people than I was telling him. I would not stay there again.
This is a great property and my family enjoyed staying here. It is very close to Fish Creek shopping and restaurants, but in a very private setting. It definitely has plenty to offer and the host is very nice. The only reasons I wouldn't give it five stars are because there are some inconveniences such as you have to bring your own bathroom towels and there is no AC in the master bedroom.
This property has a vintage, 70s throwback feel but is clean and well-maintained. Location is great and outdoor area was lovely for summer evenings. Our only issue was we stayed during an abnormally warm weekend (upper 80s) and the AC does not reach the room with bunk beds at all. This has been communicated to the host and will hopefully be resolved. Otherwise, we had a great stay as a party of 7 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 dog. Cottage is on the smaller side for square footage but we didn't feel cramped at all! Recommend but be cautious in the summer pending AC resolution. Would stay again!
Loved this cute house in the woods! Wood burning fireplace inside is great for chilly nights and outdoor fire pit is very private and well -stocked with wood. Nice king bed on first floor
Nice, rustic cabin style house in a very wooded area. Perfect location to feel like youâre camping, but with the luxuries of home. We enjoyed the perks like the deck for enjoying the evening air, grilling on the grill and Roku for movie nights. The lighting could be improved, it is very dark in areas. It also could have been cleaned a little better before our arrival. We also found the AC to be hard to work and weâre not sure it was functioning. But the temperatures ended up not requiring it. All in all, an enjoyable stay. Be aware the owners are close by and watching the property.
We love this neighborhood! Very quiet and close to Fish Creek. Make sure you bring your own towels. This is a more rustic stay. Difficult with young children who want to crawl around.
We stayed 4 nights. The house was relatively clean with a couple of spiders to keep us company. There were deer in the back. Neighbors were quiet. We were able to take the dogs, which is a plus for us as not many places will allow dogs. We had to provide our own bath towels but not a big deal. Nice place. Close to the activities we wanted to do.
Very old, woodsy, but dusty/dirty with cobwebs. We were disappointed with the lack of care. Even tho we went to a pet friendly site and stated we were including our dog, we were charged an additional 20 per day! There is much potential, but needs a thorough cleaning. The view outside could be lovely, but needs cleanup.
The pictures donât do it justice! Itâs so cute! We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again! Also nice that there were two full bathrooms! Easy for both of us to shower without having to âtake turns!â
