Home was clean and well cared for. We loved the fireplace because it was chilly that weekend! If you have people in your party that don't do stairs well they might not enjoy all the steps, but the landscaping was beautiful! Pleanty of rooms for folks to spread out. Great location close to all the fun activities in door county!
This is a great property for a larger group. There is plenty of separation of spaces, as well as nice open areas for gathering. Perfect for multi generation family gathering.
The Property was perfect for our group! We especially liked the convenience of the downstairs kitchen, bonfire, and gazebo. It was also a good central location for everything we wanted to do in Door County.
We enjoyed the beautiful house and yard during our visit. It was conveniently located close to Peninsula State Park, shops and restaurants. Would not recommend for young children as there are very high balconies for some of the bedrooms. We would definitely stay again.
We rented this home with our kids and grandchildren to celebrate my husband's retirement. It was perfect! The home was very well stocked with everything we needed and it was so nice they could accommodate our dogs.
This property was absolutely amazing. This is our first experience with Vrbo, and we can't wait to book with them again! The home was exceptionally clean and well-appointed, the decor was beautiful, and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. There were nine of us, and we would recommend this property to anyone with no hesitation whatsoever!!
It was the perfect place to get my family together & enjoy our time together. If needed we could also go to different areas of the home to do âour own thingâ. The only draw back for me personally was the number of steps as I have a bad back.
This is an amazing house! Beautiful and spacious with plenty of room for large family gatherings. Beautifully appointed and maintained. The large kitchen, dining and living areas are perfect for inviting guests to celebrate whatever occasion there is. Patios, decks and the gazebo are perfect for outside gatherings as well. There's a gas fireplace in the gazebo and fire pit outside to allow for parties in cooler weather. It is recommended to be prepared for using a "hot spot" if wifi is essential due to it being a little unpredictable but it is understandable considering the secluded location. Love how central it is to get into the towns along the coast though. We will be back if we need to stay in Door county again.
Perfect location right next to Fish Creek. Restaurants, shops, amenities everything you would need. The size of the house and the amount of beds was perfect for our family vacation. The only downfall was the bedding/linin fee. Iâm coming from Arizona and I was charged $199 for sheets and towels. How was I supposed to bring my own sheets for 7 beds. Seems unfair. I have never been charged for this in any VRBO in the past. Thanks again great house.
We were a bit disappointed with several things. Entering the stairs are falling apart and there is stuff laying all around the property which isn't very appealing. On the lower level they had a water issue and mold is starting on one of the walls. We were unhappy that we had to pay a linen cost which we have never had before on a VRBO property. I hadn't read all the reviews and was a bit surprised to find that many of the rooms did not have doors. Luckily my family was flexible. It was great having the dishes for our large group. The grill needs a maintenance check. We arrived a bit early and they were still cleaning. We left and came back at the given time and they still were not finished (a bit uncomfortable). It worked out fine but I will not go back.
Overall, our one week stay in this house was a wonderful family experience.
The house is close to Fish Creek and Ephraim, yet along a very quiet road with little or no traffic. As stated in the listing, it is very new, has many amenities, and is accurately described in the listing.
There are some drawbacks which should be considered for certain guest conditions. We found that the general openness of the interior main floor and two upper areas of three bedrooms was challenging to privacy: sound carries throughout these areas and it would not be suitable for crying infants and could be somewhat dangerous for toddlers (we had 3 children from 4 to 8 and they loved the stairs and tiered rooms). Also, the wifi is old and slow technology (DSL) and the wifi unit failed multiple times during our stay, so had to be reset each time. There are 4 TV's but only one is connected to satellite with very limited channel selections; one was broken, the other two could only be used for DVD's (If you don't care about technology when on vacation, these limitations would not be of concern).
Four generations of family members from 6 states gathered for annual reunion. Members were staying at different locations in Fish Creek. We used house for gathering. We enjoyed large gathering place inside and outside. Family members explored area.
A few years ago we built a log home on a lake in Michigan's UP. After years of enjoying the log home life we acquired 40 acres in Fish Creek. We wanted something different from a log cabin, but still wanted something with character. We discovered timber framed homes and thus, here we are!
