We had a wonderful girlsâ getaway at this beautiful property. The home was spotless, well-appointed, and very comfortable â truly a relaxing and inviting space. Its location was perfect, with many charming local businesses within walking distance.During our stay, an unexpected power outage occurred (completely outside anyoneâs control), and Pamâs prompt, clear, and thoughtful communication made all the difference. She handled the situation with professionalism and kindness, which we greatly appreciated. We would absolutely recommend this property and look forward to returning!
Rented the house for a few days to vacation with my grown children. Great location! Very clean. All modern amenities with some old home character ( great old wood floors, a bit of exposed brick). Good parking options. Would love to stay there again some day but am planning to see what other properties pam has as well.
We had a great time at the Harbor House. The property was clean and updated. Most of the amenities that Baileys Harbor offers are within walking distance and many other Door County attractions are only a 10-15 minute drive. We would recommend it to families with kids of any age.
Minor challenges related to keypad function and access to part of the property -- but those were handled quickly and appropriately. The WiFi connection is not strong but the manager acknowledged that challenge ahead of our arrival and we made alternative arrangements (hot spotting). Do not count on streaming or WiFi-driven television at this property. Staring at screens is not a reason to visit Door County, however, and this property positions you well for all of the good things up there.
We were in Door County for a wedding and this house is in a prime location in Baileys Harbor - walkable to everything.
Two things we were a little concerned about. First, when we arrived on Thursday night, there was a very strong musty odor which we thought was just because the house is old so we opened some windows and closed the laundry door and that helped immensely and the smell was gone by Friday afternoon. Second, the WiFi was really spotty as my husband and I both tried to take a few work calls from there on Friday and the internet was really going in and out so best to find a place with good WiFi if you're hoping to work from the house.
However, with all of that being said, it was a great place to stay for the wedding, great location, the beds were super comfortable, the property manager was very communicative, and a nice place for our family to spend time together. Definitely give it a try if you want to visit Baileys Harbor!
We stayed for the Thanksgiving Holiday with our family. It was fitted with serious comfort in mind. It was perfect for our family and made our stay in Baileys Harbor memorable. Would recommend it!
Had a great family trip with 6 adults and 1 dog, 4 of which were visiting Door County for the first time. The house has a lot of character and the bunk room would be amazing for kids - fun and a lot of extra play room. All of the beds were dressed except for the bunks, so a little bit of a challenge dressing the top bunk while balancing on the bunk ladder :-). As described in the listing, for the upstairs rooms only one of the two queen rooms and the bunk room have A/C window units, so since it was August we did have two adults sleeping in the bunk beds so they could have a room with A/C so just keep that in mind. The kitchen was well stocked and we throughly enjoyed the coffee amenities. The location is amazing with walking distance to everything on the little Baileys Harbor strip so we walked to Chives (the restaurant once and food truck twice), Har Bar, Cornerstone Pub, Heirloom Cafe, and just across the street to the Harbor Fish market. Also walked to the marina for a lighthouse boat tour.
Everything was great about our stay. The location was amazing. Plenty of places within easy walking distance. The home is very well decorated and appointed. Pam was great to work with. We will be back!!!
Harbor House is nicely restored and decorated. Many amenities. Fully equipped kitchen. Pam was easy to reach and responded quickly by text or phone if we had questions.
Charm oozes throughout this 4 bedroom home. Conveniently located in Bailey's Harbor with views of the water. Walking distance to restaurants. Clean with all the amenities including wi-fi. We prefer to stay in Bailey's Harbor as it is less congested than Egg Harbor, Fish Creek or Sister Bay, but it is still a close 10-15 minute drive to all of those towns. Great location and home. Definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Door County and want to stay on the east side of the penisula.
Our multi-generational group stayed at Harbor House for a week. We enjoyed the property and loved the convenient location. Being right by the coffee shop and brewery was wonderful. We would definitely consider staying here again.
This house was very comfortable for my husband and I and our adult children. We hang out at the house, sit on the patio or we could walk across the street for fabulous coffee and bakery/light breakfast or walk across the other way for a lovely full breakfast on the lake. Hiking in the shady Ridges area (also walkable from the house) was wonderful. Chives food carts offer really great food, several small parks with access to the water were beautiful, and the brewery with music and a couple of fire pits outside was a huge hit as well! All within walking distance from the house. Fabulous vacation spot!
What a lovely home. Everything needed to stay in and cook but right in the heart of everything happening in down town BH. Attentive hosts. Beautiful home.
This was a great change of scenery for our family to have a nice weekend in - it was -15 degrees, so not much outdoor adventuring, but cozy card playing and board games!
We purchased this house with the intention of renting it out and we knew it would require a lot of work to get the house ready for guests. The house was previously a garden shop, so it wasn't set up for living in at all. Our journey transforming this house into what it is today was not without its fair share of trials, stress and maybe a few tears, but in the end the house has become a source of pride and joy for us that we couldn't have even imagined when we first purchased the house. We hope you enjoy the house as much as we do!
