Wonderful experience, more than just accomidations. If anything came up or you had questions or concerns the host was very responsive and accommodating. Loved the quiet, the pool, and the fact it was VERY pet friendly. It is rustic with meaningful touches through out the property. The art work and lay out it gave the whole place a sense of calm. Exploring and adventure were "steps away". You are surounded by nature and wildlife. Great biking opportunities, also. Ideal in everyway.
Staying on the property made you feel like one of the locals, rather than a tourist. You are surrounded by the authentic feel of the Southwest. It is a quiet and secluded location that takes the worry away. So you can sit back and relax. Plus when you need to beat the summer heat the pool is ready and waiting.Weather it be the breeze blowing in the mesquite trees, walking the wash, or exploring near by nature areas-Mt. Lemmon, Saguaro National Park, or Colossal Cave (to name a few) the location makes easy access to a variety of activities. Many places "advertise" pet friendly and at El Mesquital lives up to it's word; even your pet will be feeling right at home. P. S. Sandy the host, was spot on.
