Nice cabin, spacious, comfortable, clean. Road and driveway getting to property challenging, even with 4-wheel drive. Definitely wouldnât attempt in winter. Host was very responsive and answered questions right away.
Great location for those who like nature, peace and quiet place to relax and recharge. Pros:Nice cozy house with beautiful views, fresh air, overall in good condition. Private pond for fishing is great. The property is well maintained. Clean bathroom, clean rooms, plenty of towels, kitchen stocked with all basic supplies and needs. Washer and dryer in good working condition as well. Cons:The dishwasher wasnât working, which is not a deal breaker but it would be simply fair to inform us of that. You can tell that people before us loaded dirty dishes and then needed to unload them to hand wash. Showerhead was working but probably would appreciate an update. Overall we really liked the house, the location and the property. We will gladly book it again.
Overall our stay was fantastic. 100 acres, trails, the ponds. I think the dogs had the most fun! Living in the Green Mts. of Vermont I'm not easily impressed by natural beauty, but the drive there and views from the deck were top notch! AND!!! It's not mentioned in the description, but wild raspberries and blackberries abound, practically steps from the door. We were there July 30-Aug 1, and we easily picked 2 pints. Already looking forward to going back next summer.
I booked for 2 nights. Ended up staying only 1 night and kids didnât sleep all night.
For some reason huge bugs kept on coming from somewhere and were hopping over beds. See attached pictures for reference.
Kept the lights on the whole night to scare them but none worked.
Appliances are old and rusty. Dishwasher dirty and doesnât work I believe, didnât bother to turn it on. See attached pictures
My 5 year old saw a baby snake by the deck entrance, he ran like no tomorrow, scared and crying. See attached picture of deck and zoom in close to base and house wall, you will see snake head sticking out. It was a baby snake but kids got scared. At this point decision was made to leave early and not spend another night here. Booked a hotel close by for the remainder of the stay.
Bigger Pond is pretty and well kept.
The smaller one has over grown vegetation all around, no way to get close to it.
Hiking trails sign is there but not well maintained, fallen trees and no markings, pretty much figure out yourself kinda trail.
Wonderfully remote and beautiful property with fabulous views. Ponds, fields, woods, mountains and wildlife!
Clean, comfortable cabin- well equipped. Host was easy to communicate directly with. Several nice restaurant choices in town.Absolute pleasure- will return.

The property was great. We loved the apple trees and fishing pond! The house had a very cozy and well decorated interior. All the appliances and supplies you will need for your stay were provided.
The land is beautiful. The house is decent and tastefully furnished. The major downside and spoiler of our vacation was the silent alarm that kept going off by the host indicating there was a big fire. The host provides a fire pit, but the alarm sensor must be too sensitive, because she kept getting alerted and the images on the camera at night show a fire that looks much bigger and scarier than it actually was. The host got furious at us and gave us a bad review because of it. If she doesn't want fires made on her property, she should remove the fire pit. Up until that point, the host had been nice to deal with and easy to communicate with.
We thoroughly enjoyed waking up to a herd of deer grazing outside our front door. It was private with 116 acres that we enjoyed exploring.
The larger of the two ponds had largemouth bass eager to be caught, and my husband accommodated them.
If you are a lover of nature, you will love this!
