Welcome to Big Blue Cottage #1 of 4 - an updated home with million-dollar beach views and steps to the sand! Every detail of this 3 bedroom 2 bath is thoughtfully curated to make your stay memorable. Located in the heart of this vibrant, free-spirited beachside community with a classic SoCal vibe.
The Space:
* Central air conditioning
* 3 bedrooms with king bed and 2 queen beds, Living Room with a sleeper couch
* 2 fully equipped bathrooms with toiletries
* Cozy living room with stone gas fireplace
* Two private decks with breathtaking views of sand, waves, sunsets, and Seaworld fireworks.
* In-home washer and dryer
* Free parking
* Beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, and beach umbrella provided
* One block to famous Newport Avenue with dozens of restaurants, brew pubs, live music, beachwear, surf shops, supermarket, and surfboard & bike rentals
* KITCHEN *
Updated kitchen complemented by sleek white quartz counters, full-size oven, microwave, dishwasher w/pods, garbage disposal, refrigerator with ice maker, and counter seating for casual meals.
* BEDROOMS *
First floor has primary king bedroom and queen bedroom. Venture upstairs to another queen bedroom with private roof deck. All three bedrooms have TVs.
* BATHROOMS *
Two spacious spa-inspired baths with light pouring in are where you can wash away the dayâs adventures. Primary ensuite bath has a tub/shower and 2nd bath has a full-sized shower.
* LIVING AREAS *
Enjoy watching the waves crash and savor the calming ocean breezes with lots of windows and natural light. Spacious dining room. The cozy living room features a stone gas fireplace. This cottage also has a washer/dryer - less clothes to pack!
* PRIVATE DECKS *
Your choice of two decks to breathe fresh salty air, stunning sunsets, and unwind under the stars. Front deck overlooks the beach, pier, and sunsets. The roof deck has 360-degree views of the beach, sunsets, hills, La Jolla, and Seaworld fireworks. Both are blissful spots to soak up the atmosphere and let your worries melt away. Whether you start your day with a hot cup of coffee or end it with a glass of wine, the decks are a relaxing spot to unwind.
* BEACH *
A lifeguard-protected white sandy beach is steps away. Perfect location for sunbathing, swimming, boogie boards, and surfing. In the evening enjoy a sunset wine and cheese Happy Hour or bonfire with sâmores at the public fire pits. Easy access to the tidepools beneath the pier with a variety of sea life including starfish, crabs, urchins, and fish.

There is a 2 car tandem parking space and street parking.
The Neighborhood:
Ocean Beach is a great neighborhood. It close to all in San Diego yet if you want to just hang out at the beach it's a great beach for all. Swimming, boogie boarding, surfing, beach volleyball, tidepool exploring, evening bonfires, walks on the pier, sandcastle building and more. Our building is walking distance to great restaurants (2 blocks) and shopping. there is evening nightlife and live music nearby as well.
Getting Around:
You can't beat this location! Step out the front door and you are at the beach! 2 minute walk to the famous Ocean Beach Pier and Newport Ave our "Main St" with all the restaurants, bars and shopping.
5 minute drive to Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, 5 minutes to Sea World and 10-15 min to the Zoo, Downtown San Diego, the Convention Center, Petco Park.
Close to all San Diego has to offer!
Other Things to Note:
- One small pet is OK with permission and $150 + tax. No parties or events. 8-guest maximum including children. As part of our standard verification process, we kindly request guest signs an additional agreement and verifies ID. Your comfort and security are important to us.
- Payment terms vary by booking channel. When processed through platforms that allow us to manage payment directly, a 10% deposit is taken at booking, with the remaining balance automatically collected after the cancellation period, as outlined in the cancellation policy. For channels where we do not manage payment, the full reservation amount is due at the time of booking.
