Villa Ticino is a wine country retreat nestled between vineyards and the Mayacamas mountain range. It is located in the heart of the Valley of the Moon and within easy walking distance to the local wineries, restaurants, and groceries of Kenwood, CA. A private gate leads to the estate vineyard and olive grove in front of the house. Spacious parking for 3+ cars steps from the front door.

The quiet fenced-in backyard offers beautiful mountain views, a solar heated pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen, full bocce court, a gas fire pit and gathering area perfect for s’mores, and an al fresco dining patio with bbq and outdoor seating. Expansive decks frame the swimming pool and are generously furnished with comfortable chairs and chaise lounges.

Four bedrooms, including two master suites with king beds, a third bedroom with a king bed, and a fourth bedroom with two twin beds. Cozy living room with gas fireplace and pool table. Perfect for a multi-family weekend away.

We love our home’s proximity to Kenwood–there are multiple tasting rooms, restaurants, a tasty gelato shop, and coffee shop just across the street! And the property is only a few minutes drive away from the town of Glen Ellen and a 15 minute drive to the heart of Sonoma.

We're new owners, but this property has a long rental history with many positive reviews!

Fantastic Home!!! We all fell in love with this wonderful property. All who stayed were successful professionals at the peak of their careers and are used to staying at 5 star properties. They all raved about, and fell in love with, this home. The backyard is hard to speak more highly of, it was the highlight of our trip.

Beautify Stay!

This place was absolutely stunning. It’s in a beautiful location, walking distance to wineries, beautiful outdoor space. The host really thought of everything when it comes to the fine details. We absolutely loved it here and would definitely stay again if/when in the area.

Beautiful house/property and area in wine country!

My girlfriends and I LOVED this property. The house is very spacious, clean, everything you need - plenty of room/bedrooms/bathrooms for everyone. But the grounds are what makes it! From the vineyards along the driveway to the in-ground very clean pool, hot tub, firepit (with a s'mores kit!), bocce, fruit trees, gorgeous flowers! Enjoy the adirondack chairs and outside dining table. It is in the small town of Kenwood and situated perfectly. Across the street is VJB Cellars (highly recommend - we met the owner), Stella restaurant (delicious), Kenwood Market, various tasting rooms, Palooza Pub, Pillowfight for coffee/breakfast sandwiches. Just down the street is Salt & Stone restaurant - fabulous brunch. The host, Jaime, was really thinking when she made the code on the door lock the last 4 digits of my cell phone! Brilliant! Everyone could easily remember it. She also provided a very thorough welcome guide/packet with ideas of places to go, things to do. The house is an easy 1.25 hr ride from San Fran airport, @ 15 minutes North of Sonoma and 15 minutes South of Santa Rosa. Very close to many, many fabulous wineries, restaurants, Armstrong Redwood Forest, Calistoga for mud baths, Glen Ellen for the best French pastry shop Les Pascals (this is a must stop for croissants, quiche). We didn't have time to tour Healdsburg so hoping we'll be back. This is the house you need to stay in for wine country!

Very nice property! Great location for wine tasting, VJB is walking distance right across from the driveway. Several good restaurants & a coffee shop walking distance too. The house has a great layout for multiple couples to have their own space. We loved the pool, hot tub & pool table. The back yard was very pretty with flowers, herbs & fruit trees. We would definitely choose Villla Ticino again!

Friends 50th vaycay

7 of celebrated turning 50 this year and had a great time at Villa Ticino! The house was beautiful and spacious, the grounds were beautiful and the owner was great to work with! Lots of wineries and restaurants in walking distance! It was a great couple of days and I would definitely stay there again!!!!

A Little Bit of Heaven

We are 3 senior citizen couples who enjoy vacationing together. Our week stay in Villa Ticino was a little bit of heaven! We can't say enough about the beautiful villa. We were greeted by a great bottle of local wine. The house was immaculately clean. The king sized beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with top quality pots, pans, serving pieces, gadgets, beautiful matching dishes and heavy silverware. No mismatched odds and ends pieces in this home! Our favorite part of this house was the grounds. We enjoyed grilling and dining on the patio so much that we preferred it over eating at restaurants. The men enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool then warming up in the hot tub and of course a few friendly bocce matches! The women enjoyed the overflowing fresh figs, lemons, apples and grapes that were ripe for the picking. Even though the house is on a main road it is set back enough that the traffic noise is not an issue. The area is very safe. Across the highway is a convenient store and a delicious restaurant where we watched a Sunday night football game. The many wineries nearby won't disappoint. Our premier host Erika answered all our questions before our trip. She was out of town during our visit but only a text away. However there was someone nearby if we had any problems. Fortunately we had no concerns. If you are planning a vacation to wine county don't hesitate to book this villa. You will be happy you did!

Paradise!

There is so much to see and do in this area - but it is also hard to leave the property! We could not have been happier with the with the house, property and location. Walk to a grocery store, walk to wineries/restaurants! The house, pool, hot tub and overall property were a dream. We were on a multi-generation family vacation and everyone rated it as Highly Recommend! You will not be disappointed staying here! Erika was also very responsive with the questions we had during our stay as well as recommending other services.

Family Getaway

Villa Ticino is a delightful property with all the trappings of a perfect wine country getaway. The layout worked extremely well for our family of six (my husband, three teen boys and mother). We had plenty of space to hang out indoors, while the outside was a magnificent oasis filled with beautiful landscaping, many areas to sit and relax, and a calming pool framed by the magnificent Mayacamas mountains. We made breakfast every day in the well-stocked kitchen. We set out on afternoon adventures to nearby wineries, parks, and restaurants. The house is located in a great location. Despite some curve balls that Mother Nature through us during the week of our stay, owner Erika was quick to respond and resolve issues. It’s obvious she cares about her home and provides a personal touch when dealing with guests. We would highly recommend choosing Villa Ticino for a memorable wine country getaway!

Perfect Friends Getaway

Villa Ticino is as advertised! A great location with easy access to wineries, outdoor activities, groceries, restaurants, etc. The property was perfect for our group of eight with lots of both indoor and outdoor entertaining space, a kitchen stocked with anything you would ever need (as well as all the other standard amenities), and ample room for four couples. Erika was a great host as well - very responsive before and during our stay, and connected us with an awesome private wine tour operator. Our group is already looking forward to our next trip to wine country and Villa Ticino!

Fabulous family getaway

We all loved our very relaxing stay here. We were grandparents, parents and two young kids. As others have said, the outdoor area is spectacular with areas for pool fun, bocce, dining, or just relaxing with a book under a tree. The fruit and vegetable garden was a hit with the kids. The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. We’d definitely be back!

Absolutely Lovely

What a wonderful place to stay! Villa Ticino offered such an abundance from amenities to outstanding views to an array of horticulture. The location was across the street from a plaza with a small grocery, restaurants and wine tasting. Despite the proximity to that it was an incredibly tranquil retreat with many places to relax. Erika was wonderful to communicate with from our first conversations to our last minute anxiety over air quality. Her suggestions for drivers, markets, and activities were spot on. Would love to return and highly recommend!

We fell in love with the walkability and community spirit of Kenwood. Plus, our property has views of the Mayacamas mountain range and our own family vineyard.

Villa Ticino is just minutes away from wineries in Glen Ellen, hiking in Sugar Loaf State Park, and shopping on Sonoma Square, but if you choose, you don't have to drive anywhere! You can have lunch at VJB Vineyards and Cellar or dinner at Stella (both across the street), and taste at 9+ tasting rooms such as B. Wise, En Garde, Hamilton Family Vineyards, all within a 1 block walk! It's the perfect place to base to explore Sonoma Valley.
