WiFi et téléphone maintenant disponibles! Nous recherchons depuis des années la disponibilité du WiFi en amont sachant que dans le monde d'aujourd'hui, ce service est important pour les gens.

Cette belle maison spacieuse situĂ©e dans la rĂ©gion d'Elk River Wilderness, se trouve sur 460 pieds de façade sur la riviĂšre qui offre la pĂȘche en berge Ă  l'automne, ainsi que des plaisirs sĂ©curitaires pour les enfants en Ă©tĂ©. La riviĂšre Elk immaculĂ©e est un paradis pour les pĂȘcheurs et une retraite relaxante pour communier avec la nature pour tous. Cette maison est un endroit parfait pour se retrouver entre amis et en famille.

La grande suite principale au 1er niveau comprend un lit queen-size, un grand dressing et un coin salon avec canapé-lit pour lire ou regarder des films. La salle de bain complÚte a une baignoire de jardin à jets et douche séparée. La suite a également une porte coulissante en verre à une grande terrasse donnant sur la riviÚre.

Deux grandes chambres Ă  l'Ă©tage peuvent accueillir jusqu'Ă  11 personnes, parfaites pour partager du temps avec la famille ou les amis.
La chambre Riverside a un lit queen, complet et un lit double, et une porte coulissante sur le balcon pour observer la riviÚre et la faune! La deuxiÚme chambre a un lit queen, des lits jumeaux et un lit superposé avec des lits jumeaux en haut et plein en bas. Cette chambre dispose également d'une porte coulissante en verre et de son propre balcon.

Il y a aussi une salle de bain complÚte à l'étage avec une combinaison baignoire / douche qui est située entre les deux chambres.

Le 1er niveau comprend Ă©galement une cuisine ouverte entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e avec rĂ©frigĂ©rateur, cuisiniĂšre, micro-ondes et lave-vaisselle. Les espaces de restauration comprennent un bar de cuisine enveloppant pouvant accueillir 5 personnes, une table Ă  manger pouvant accueillir 6 personnes et un coin salon avec deux chaises Ă  oreilles prĂšs de la fenĂȘtre donnant sur la riviĂšre. Ou, si vous choisissez de dĂźner «en plein air», la salle Ă  manger a Ă©galement une porte coulissante en verre sur la grande terrasse donnant sur la riviĂšre. Des tables et des chaises ainsi qu'un grill sont fournis.

Le salon confortable dispose d'un poĂȘle Ă  bois pour vous rĂ©chauffer les jours de beau temps et d'une tĂ©lĂ©vision grand Ă©cran qui est configurĂ©e pour le divertissement DVD / VHS. (siĂšges pour 8 personnes)

Cette maison comprend Ă©galement une buanderie complĂšte pour votre confort.

Les sols carrelés du niveau de vie principal permettent un séjour sans soucis dans une zone sauvage.

Les espaces de rassemblement extérieurs comprennent la grande terrasse donnant sur la riviÚre et une cheminée en pierre pittoresque dans une zone boisée adjacente à la maison. Un endroit charmant pour des conversations au coin du feu ou des hot-dogs et des guimauves grillés tout en profitant du cadre boisé.

Fantastic location, Fantastic view of the river, let us check in early. The house is lot nicer than the pictures make it seem. Great place for a family get away. Right next to a really great place to swim just up the road by the big rocks.

Great stay for the price. Bedrooms are spacious and clean with plenty of nice sized beds.Trail to river is a trail.. fine for people used to walking a trail.If your looking for completely refurbished and updated that is this roomy and on the water, your going to be paying a lot more. This was just what the pictures show. Not completely updated, but a nice, quiet stay with water access.

This vacation rental has an awesome view of the Elk. Very close to the hatchery. Comfortable, clean.

My now husband and I stayed at this property leading up to our wedding which we celebrated locally in Langlois. This was a great location where we were able to relax and spend time with friends and family, and be able to include our dog Rocco. There was plenty of space, ample parking, and a comfort in which the property provided. We did notice that the house was not fully cleaned upon our arrival, the entry floor was not fully swept, there was a bag of trash in the master bathroom vanity, and the kitchen counter tops were very dusty. The master bedroom sliding door lock to the deck was broken and the dining room screen to the deck had holes near the handle. Overall though we enjoyed our stay and the property fulfilled our needs!

Great place to spend time with family!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Plenty of room to spread out while still being together. Loved the space on the deck. Enjoyed the additional seating through out the home so that people could gather easily! Saw a few deer, went upriver to a great swimming hole, spent time at the ocean and went on the jet boats in Gold Beach! Highly recommend this home to bring family together in a peaceful relaxing setting!

Vacation Rental on the River

Amazing! My family and I absolutely loved it. Plenty of space for everyone, plenty of things to keep the kiddos busy, BBQ on the deck. We are from Washington State all the way up north for a family wedding and was able to get together with all our family for an evening BBQ before we headed out. Views, quiet, really relaxing. Deck is a little unstable in a few spots, and the BBQ wasn’t working but my husband was able to get it fixed. Highly recommend! We plan to do another stay at the same location next year!

Great Stay

We had a family get together and used the house as our home base. It was so nice that we could stay there and have local family come over for a couple of BBQs. The river was right at the back and we all loved it. Plus the fish hatchery next door was an interesting add to our adventure. You could not get a better spot.

Quiet and relaxing home on the river

I come to the Port Orford area regularly for work. This summer I brought some of my family and enjoyed our stay. The host was an excellent communicator and the home felt...homey. We enjoyed the location in nature and so close to outdoor recreation.

Our yearly camping trip to a new place

We took a chance and went somewhere new for our yearly camping trip. When we got there, opened the door and the smell of mold hits you right in the face. I was not thrilled after that. Cleaning needs to be worked on. There were spiders everywhere. Spiderwebs in every coroner you could think of. The jacuzzi tub works if you’re lucky. The bbq was a joke. It has 1 burner that works, one that kinda works(better off not using it), one that doesn’t work at all, and one missing completely. The kids ran a bath, the water came out brown. For the amount we paid to stay there, I expected things to be better. I can’t say we would be staying there again.

This place was perfect for us. And plenty room for a dive boats!! We didn’t get the Dive as much as we wanted to. But it’s all good mother nature was just blowing too hard. I would definitely recommend this place for a group of people. I waited too long to book it for the Fourth of July. But went to places that good it’s going to go fast. Thank you again, Guy.

ON THE RIVER

The location of the property is awesome. It's on the river and right down the street from the hatchery which is a popular drop in spot for fishing on the Elk River. Kitchen was fully stocked with any cooking tools and utensils you need. Great place to stay.

Beautiful location

We were a group of 11 plus 3 dogs and it met our needs well. Plenty of blankets and towels. The river was beautiful and very relaxing. Beach is less that a 15 min drive away.

We had a great time at this property. The house was clean and very well stocked with everything you could need. The owner, Rita and her husband were delightful and very helpful. Unfortunately, we were evacuated a day early due to the Anvil Fire. We hope the house makes it because we love to return at another time.

My husband and dog and i had a great time. I especially enjoyed sitting out on the deck early in the mornings overlooking the river Watching the wildlife.we got to play tons of fetch with our dog in the river. We also enjoyed floating in the river with a inner tube and inflatable matt provided by the nice owner

This place is paradise. Elk River is clear and beautiful. The house side of the river has has a sandy eddy for children to safely play in while the other side is deep for swimmers. We loved the quiet along with no light pollution. We saw a meteor shower. The kids were fascinated by the fish hatchery just a short walk away. It was fun watching occasional cars pass over the river on a swinging bridge. The 2 engineers in our group had quite a conversation over its construction. We ate all meals on the large deck. The home is roomy, clean and well stocked.

Great place to stay

We stayed here with 7 adults and 3 children. There was plenty of room and seating for all. Well stocked house. We had some one with car trouble and the host was very helpful. She was able to contact the caretaker and he helped us. Had a great time in the river and there were plenty of beds.

We discovered the beautiful Elk River Wilderness area in 2003, when we purchased an unfinished cabin. (Which is located across the road from this Retreat) One of our passions is renovating propertys and putting Rita's interior design skills to use. So, we turned that unfinished structure into a unique family retreat. It has been the site of our annual family gathering, which included some years as many as 40 attendees! The property turned from a quaint cabin on 13 acres, to a RV/Tent campground with night time gatherings around the bonfire to cook up S'mores and share great stories! And we mustn't forget the many fun times spent swimming, lounging, and fishing at the boat launch located near the Elk River Fish Hatchery!
We live just an hour away, so we can enjoy it even for just a night. And other family menbers travel from the Portland area several times a year to just enjoy the peace and quiet and beauty of both the river and the beach~ just a 15 minute drive away.
We have expanded our horizons and now winter in sunny Mexico. Life is an adventure that we enjoy sharing with people.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We have lived near the Southern Oregon Coast since 1973. Discovering the amazing beauty of the Elk River was a hidden treasure that we had missed out on for many years. Once we discovered it's aqua-marine pristine waters set within the beautiful tree lined canyon where waterfalls abound~it was as if we had traveled far away from home, but it was just an hour away all along! All we needed to do was to take a drive and enjoy the adventure of discovering what life has to offer. So now we want to make that experience available to others.

And, if you love the beach, it's just a quick 15 minute drive to the magnificent Port Or ford coastline. Here, you can enjoy awesome ocean views, surf, go for long walks on the beach, fly kites, (wind is often present at the coast!) or maybe even get lucky enough to see a seal or whale poke their head up to take a peek at you! Also, if you love fresh seafood, stop by the marina and see what the 'catch of day' is!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Most of the the river frontage where much of the fishing is done on the Elk is privately owned, which limits water access. Our River House gives us and our guests the freedom to enjoy the river right out the back door! Plus, it is just 1/4 mile from the public boat launch at the fish hatchery!

The spacious living area in the home creates the perfect gathering space for family and friends to share meaningful time together.... Forming memories that last a lifetime! And re-living those exciting fish stories about the 'big one that got away' or showing the photos of the one who was not so lucky!

During the fishing season it is quite entertaining watching all the boats drift by. Since the river does not allow motor boats, the serenity is never disturbed.

Guests have shared with us that the low level of the river during summer is a benefit because it allows children to play safely in the water. But, that there also are deeper pools near by for adult swimming. Perfect for aqua babies of all ages!
