We met up with family for our stay and really enjoyed being so close to the beach. We knew how removed the property was and prepared with a good grocery run ahead of time, which was helpful. Walking our luggage and groceries in was a bit challenging, especially given the community carts were in high demand. You can tell the house has been well loved and can be seen by the photos. However, the master bath was renovated and lovely. Our kids said the shower pressure in one of their showers was really poor, so they ended up using our shower instead. The views were incredible and we loved the deck as well. Overall this place was great for our family and we loved our week there.
Loved the location! Fabulous views! House was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen was furnished well, but it had 2 large portions of the countertop that were just raw plywood that had started to chip away. And the kitchen had a serious ant problem! We even found some in the bathrooms, and the ant traps the maintenance provided didn't solve the problem. There were also a number of cleaning issues, such as mold on the blinds, and in the showers, ripped screens, and paint pealing on some of the walls. Would probably stay here again, in the hope that they wlll have taken care of these issues for future renters.
This was our third year to rent your lovely home at the beach for Presidentâs Day weekend. All the comforts of home but right in the beach. Our two families have the right amount of personal and public space to enjoy ourselves. Your home offered a clean and comfortable place to relax and enjoy our Beach Bliss!
We have stayed at this property once prior but feelLike the level of cleanliness has gone downhill, comforters were either dirty or very stained and there was a large amount of dust buildup in rooms. Master bedroom also had an odd chemical odor when heater was being ran.
The 5-star aspect to the stay: Property management was wonderful---flexible, helpful and easy to work with. Check in and check out process simple and clear. Location and views gorgeous! Just steps away from the beach.
The less than 5-star aspect to the stay: The house is dated and though comfortable and sizable for a family, has some things that are very worn down and need repair.
Perfect property for a family get away. Beach access is easy and if you donât want to deal with the sand you can enjoy the beach from the deck so the best of both worlds!
Our two families returned to this lovely home on the beach. Big enough for everyone to spread out a bit, cozy enough for meals, games, and fun. The location cannot be beat and the home was well supplied for all our needs. Thank you for letting us enjoy your wonderful home again.
We had a wonderful family gathering. Great layout we could watch the kids play on the beach from the house. Thank you for sharing your home we will look forward to a return visit.
We enjoyed this comfortable home, with massive windows looking out in the Monterey Bay and steps right off the deck to the beach. This is a great home for families. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy this little patch of paradise!
You can't get much closer to the beach and the Pacific Ocean when you stay at this lovely home. When not walking the beach we were cozy inside, relaxed and very comfortable in front of the large panoramic windows. It was the perfect mini vacation with long time friends. We would love to come back to this home again next year.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at House 98. The view in unparalleled and, despite the cold, we soaked in as much beach time as we could. The house met all our needs and we will be back for sure! We really enjoyed the facility as well, especially the pickleball and basketball courts. Thank you!
Perfect place for a group of six⊠Had a great time, Beautiful oceanview and all the amenities are there.
The place does need more coffee mugs and maybe some extra silverware.

House 98
We had a blast! Beautiful views!
There are pros and cons to this property
Pros: beach front property, lots of bathrooms, quiet, sleeps 8 comfortably, laundry was convenient, great courtyard
Cons: extremely outdated, cleaners were not done until 30 mins after check in so we had to wait (not a big deal but we did have groceries) doors and windows are really old and hard to open and close, ants, freezer is hard to open, construction on the house next door which started early each morning.
I would go back to this property for the deck alone but I do think the owner needs to invest and update to provide a luxury vacation experience.
Last year we book a wine country home through HomeAway and it was perfect. Therefore we were very disappointed in the condition of this house. I hope makes its way to the owners, HomeAway and the property managers.
First of all I want to say that Justin and company in building #3 were very helpful and courteous. The 5 of us really loved the location, the peacefulness, the view, and the high surf. We plan to make Pajaro Dunes a regular vacation spot.
#98 was a well thought out house with plenty of room for us. I am disabled and it was comfortable for me though I didnât want to attempt the walk to the parking lot more than once a day. We have a number of constructive criticisms that we hope you will think about. Besides just being worn out and shabby, which we didnât object too loudly, it had a number of issues. We also didnât object to the place needing painting, especially the kitchen which was down to the wood.
Kitchen - dishwasher was filthy and didnât drain
cabinets were not lined and also dirty
needs bottle opener
kitchen counter cutting boards are unsanitary
coffee pot took an extraordinarily long time to fill which means it needs to be cleaned
Living room - needs 2 new upholstered chairs. The ones there were dirty and very worn.
needs binoculars that arenât missing an eye piece
Bathrooms - towels were stained, thin, and terrible. Also no washcloths or bath mats. We bought kleenex for a couple of the bathrooms because there was only 1 in the house. We ran out of toilet paper which is really inexcusable. There were 5 of us in a place that sleeps 8.
Bedrooms - pillows, comforter and blankets need to be replaced. They were stained and very very old.
I was also resentful of the excessive fees. We paid over $700 for cleaning, tax, property damage protection, service fee and booking. That is almost half of the total. This is ridiculous and will lead me away from HomeAway in the future.
I have had a rental house in Tahoe for 30 years and I certainly understand how hard it is to keep a place like that in shape especially when things disappear or are damaged. However the above are common necessities. We use VACASA which isnât perfect, but doesnât charge these huge fees.
I/we hope this will help and again we love the location of Pajaro Dunes and the house.
