Walking distance to Main Street Shopping and Eateries in Oneonta, NY

The Space:

This stylish apartment is in great condition and offers beautiful refinished hard wood flooring and new vinyl flooring in the living room, over-sized rooms and picnic table w/grill in the back yard. "2ND BASE APT 1" is a first floor (fully air- conditioned) 3 bedroom apartment with kitchen, separate dining room, living room with a 50" Flat Screen TV and one full bath. All bedrooms have 50 inch flat screen TV’s as well. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other two bedrooms have a queen sized bed. For families / friends that wish to group together, “2ND BASE APT 2” is on the second floor and sleeps 6 as well with the same exact layout.

Cancellation Policy: Bookings canceled at least 30 days before check-in will receive 95% refund (5% credit card processing fee applies). Bookings canceled at least 14 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued within 14 days of the check-in date.

This rental is available only for Cooperstown All Star Village weeks.

We do not accept bookings for Cooperstown Dreams Park weeks, as their check-in/check-out days do not align.

No early arrivals or extended stays are permitted, as the next group arrives the same day guests depart.

Each apartment has separate keys. Downstairs Apartment 1 washer/dryer for laundry is in the basement. Upstairs Apartment 2 washer dryer for laundry is in the apartment. This driveway is shared with 2nd Base Apt 2, Shortstop Apt 1 and Shortstop Apt 2 which is right next door. There is plenty of space for multiple vehicles.

Staying right on Main Street and a short walk away from the restaurants and nightlife, gives 2ND BASE an advantage over many different vacation rentals. You will have the access yet far enough away from the "downtown noise".

The house was great as much as you are there we were at Cooperstown Village most of the time we didn’t really cook at all but everything worked well location was great! Loved walking into town a nice diversion. I enjoyed my Dunkin Donuts coffee every morning a real plus!

The diatance to the baseball fields was ideal (10 minutes). On the other hand, the neighborhood did not feel safe with lots of homeless/drug addicts roaming the streets and scaring my children. The overall cleanliness of the apartment was poor, with the hardwood floors very dirty/sticky, some lights/tvs not working and the main couches dirty/smelled badly. Overall we mainly just used the apartment for sleeping, but other than the close distance to the fields we would not stay here again.

Quit location close to major retailers

Really pleased with the property. It was cleaned, comfortable with all amenities. Ability to use BBQ/small outdoor area is a big plus. Property had all the towels, soap, TVs, etc. Only suggestion is that the basement is not usable, and could be an usable space/attraction if finished correctly. Overall, very pleased.

Lovely duplex

I can see why they take pride in the cleanliness of the property, it is well taken care of and very clean. Specifically the towels and bedding! My family was super comfortable! We enjoyed the location being right next door to dunkin and a short walk to a nice park for our little one. It was stocked with more supplies than I expected, from utensils, tp, pt and garbage bags. Great communication with the property manager, as well. I would highly recommend this property!

Well maintained and nice old house.

We had a wonderful tume. Well maintained and nice old house. TV in every room and comfortable beds. New appliances upstairs. From the women perspective it would have been nice to have mirrors in all of the bedrooms so that they could get finish getting ready without occupying the single bathroom on each floor.

Very clean and well equipped with everything we needed.

Oneonta is a beautiful small historic town. Everyone was very nice and accommodating! This beautiful old home has been remodeled and is located in the heart of Oneonta making it very convenient to walk to local restaurants and businesses. Apartment 1 has an amazing front porch that we spent beautiful nights having dinner. This home is also located only 5 minutes from Cooperstown All-Star Village! Tim- the property manager was in contact with us all week to make sure we had everything we needed and offered advice on places to eat and things to do! Thank you to Tim and all your staff for providing us with a great “home” away from home!

Great for Baseball Families

Perfect location for this baseball family visiting the All Star Village. It was just a few short miles away. The upstairs part of the house was another family from the team so that worked out perfect, House was very clean and well maintained. Loved having the washer and dryer in the basement. Air conditioning worked perfect other families at other properties not associated with this one had issues. Fun restaurants on Main St right down the road, Latte Lounge and Yellow Deli were 2 of our favorites. Can't go wrong renting from them.

All Star Village Rental

This property exceeded our expectations of what we would arrive to. First, let me say that on the website, the house was sided with Yellow siding and when we arrived it was blue! So it was newly sided and looks great! We rented the entire house with friends (they took upstairs and we took downstairs) and it was great. Couldn't hear much commotion from the upstairs, except when it was super quiet! The house was beautiful - older yet elegant. The beds were comfortable and we had more than enough space for all of us. There were televisions in each room which made watching TV easy enough for all. There was shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the tub/shower and plenty of towels, pillows, washcloths, etc. It was great to show up to a rental where the beds were made, linens were available in each room, kitchen had all dishes, utensils, etc. Keep in mind that you should bring your own food and condiments, as we did. Jeff is a great renter (and Tim), and they informed us of all to expect and the communication (WHICH IS KEY) was within 24 hours if not sooner. It was within 1 mile to Oneonta, right next door to Dunkin Donuts, across the street from Friendly's, and less than 4 miles to All Star Village. Would definitely rent again if we ever get invited back to All Star Village or just want to visit the area again! If you are going to rent, rent from Jeff!! He has multiple properties and is a great communicator! I highly recommend him!

Great location with full amenities

Location is easy to find and only a 10 min drive to Cooperstown All-Star Village baseball fields. It was a nice unit, accurately listed, with comfortable beds and couches. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the silverware, pots, pans, etc that you need to cook dinner. I liked that it had a washer and dryer with detergent already there to use. The only complaint I have was that the basement area where washer/dryer unit was located smelled moldy. Other than that, there was great communication from property manager via text and email. I would stay here again.

Thank you for your review Carolyn. I appreciate all the positive remarks that you made about the house and the location. Oneonta is an old town with most homes built around1900. Although most love the charm, once in a while someone may not. I apologize about the appliances not being cleaned, we had an issue with staffing which across the country is a challenge to all businesses. Our cleaner had to cover for another and unfortunately missed the appliances. I called the moment you messaged us about the appliances and had someone ready to come over which was declined. Fresh new linens, towels etc. from the laundry mat are dropped off every turnover as we pick up the previous weeks. As you noted everything else was clean. Our lawn contractor and cleaners start promptly at 9am to prepare all properties for our next guests arriving at 4pm. This is not a strategy to "make sure you didn't sleep in" I am sorry they showed up 30 minutes early and have addressed it with them. Aside from those two things, you mentioned to me that you had a great time at the house as well as the tournament and I hope that's what you take back from your vacation. I am sure the team had a blast! Take care.

Fantastic Baseball Rental

The unit had everything we needed…coffee, shampoo, detergent, washer & dryer, etc. There were great restaurants within walking distance. But make sure to call to see if you need reservations. It was very clean and a perfect place for us to crash after a long day at Cooperstown All Star Village (only 5 mins away!!).

House was big and very clean. Close to downtown and just what we needed.

Excellent time! Property manager was very attentive and responsive. Clean and would highly recommend it.

Very nice and convenient place to stay less than 10 minutes from All Star Village!

Beds were super comfortable, AC worked great, very detailed instructions and info from owners. Very nice place to stay while our son played baseball.

Great property in a great location.

The property was well kept. The owner was nice as he greeted us upon arrival. great spot to stay. The owner gave us a walk through of the property. Everything was neat. The house is in a great location. When the rest of The city seemed dead, Oneonta was great. I found out it is a college city. Many stores and restaurants are near by about 5 mns drive or walking distance. Cooperstown is about 18-20 mns out. The reason I gave 4 stars was because the dryer took forever to dry. In my opinion it needs to be replaced. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
