Home Away From Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the third time we rented, An Eagles Flight, Whalehead beach home. There would truly be a fourth time, if our dates were not conflicting with it already being rented. This home has everything you need and then some! We were a family of seven adults and two children, the size of the house, and the way it is set up, was perfect for all of us. The newly renovated kitchen added an updated feeling and was completely well stocked with everything you would need. The pool is very nice and the size is large for a beach home. There is also a children’s pool which was wonderful, since we had a 2 1/half year older with us. Working with Beach Reality was delightful. They were prompt in responding to any questions we had and. always made us feel secure they had our backs. Highly recommend this house to anyone thinking of coming to the northern end of the Outer Banks.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are a family of 11. We have stayed in a different house the past five years and all said this was the best one so far. Easy drive and walk to the beach, comfortable living spaces, washer and dryer on mid-level and kids enjoyed the pool table and the pool.The kitchen had all we needed except a colander and sharp knives. The table fit everyone with room to spare! All bathrooms were nice, and with amazing water pressure. Great house for multiple people.

Excellent home

This property was wonderful! 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms was more than plenty for our large 2 family group! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, the location to beach was very good! The only issue we had was the light in the pool and the hot tub did not work, there was only a motion light of to the side when we were out past dark. I did reach out to let property management know, they said they would send someone out to check it, as far as we know that did not happen the week we were there.

All Under One Roof!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second year we rented this ideal home for our family vacation. Our two beautiful grandsons were the center of attention for our in-laws, our daughter’s family and us. The space and layout of An Eagle’s Flight provided an extremely good arrangement where all felt comfortable! It is a short walk to the beach, a 5 minute drive to shopping of all types and a two minute drive to the lighthouse park. The walking trail along the bay provided shade and scenery on some very warm days. The home is in great shape and a new children’s swing set was a hit for our 3 year older. The kiddie pool provided afternoon shade for the 7 month older to splash and kick! Would recommend this rental to future stayers! We truly hope to return for our third year, of a 2 week vacation, next summer!!

House Was Not Clean and Ready

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We got to our house at 5 p.m. the day of check in. We went in and the house had not been cleaned (dirty towels by the door, beds unmade). We called the the company and they said they would contact housekeeping. They never got back to us and we were "guaranteed" a 6:00 p.m. check in so we went back. Still not cleaned. Cleaners didn't show up until 6:45 and then at 7:45 said they were done and to check it (they didn't speak English and I had to use Google translate to communicate with them). Beds weren't made, not toilet paper in any this point we just wanted to unpack since we had 9 children with us so I told them it was fine. Needless to say we were still cleaning and making beds at 9:00 pm. They would not refund the cleaning fee or a nights stay which was ridiculous. Would never rent from this company again. The pool lights did not work and there was only a motion light outside in the backyard.

A nice time at An Eagles Flight

Reviewer Comments: the interior of the rental property was great.The owners should consider upgrading kitchen appliances ie no crockpot and adding to utensils and dinner ware.The two hot tubs do not work properly no blowers for the jets and temperature settings are off.The exterior of property was family cleaned up over 400 cigarette butts from balconies,poolside and play area.Having 2 small grandchildren ages 4 and 16 months this problem was unacceptable.The garbage and recycle bins reeked.They need to be washed and disinfected.Found a killed several **** roaches in umbrellas poolside or on deck,even thought tables were made for them The balconies and outside stairways gave us several splinters to hands and feet.If I were a teacher grading this rental it would be a d- at best. With some work and outside cleaning the property would be fine. Iam not asking for anything other than a response from you on these unacceptable conditions.Your check in procedure and courteous staff were great. Reviewer Comments: Very evidentful, Started out with couldn't get in till 6pm, then once in an everyone arrive we had no cable or internet Saturday thru Wednesday it would not have been a great deal if we didn't have college students and some of the grand doing remote schooling, and was trying to keep up on school work while vacationing. Other than that it was ok the house itself was great size for all but way to far away from all the good spots. We will stick with the kitty Hawks side for now on.

The home was perfect for our large family (4 generations), the pool had plenty of furniture, and location couldn’t have been better. It was so easy to get to the beach AND the sound. Shopping and groceries are close by. The kitchen wascwell stocked- I am sure we used every dish and pan at least 10 times! Thank you for a great trip!!

Family fun and relaxation!

The large living room and open spaced kitchen allowed for daily family dinners, game playing, and conversation! Having your own bathroom was a true luxury! The pool is big and offers hours of fun for all ages. The walk to the beach was totally fine from tots to grandparents. There were a few areas that needed addressing, but the real estate agency was fast to solve these concerns. We would rent this home again.

Great stay in Corolla!

The home is very spacious with many details considered for a great vacation. The kitchen is nicely equipped and the beds were comfortable. Bonus for the showers - hot with great water pressure. Pool and both hot tubs were clean and spacious. A couple of considerations - this is a 3 story home and climbing up and down stairs is challenging if you have a lot of stuff. Not a negative, just something to consider when you pack. The family room and kitchen are in the top floor. There is also one king bedroom adjacent to the family room. Don’t pick this bedroom unless you are an early riser! The TV in the family room is on the other side of the wall from this bedroom. It is likely that your party will be hanging out in the family room so your sleep schedule will be dictated by everyone’s schedule.. The only thing I found strange about this house is that all 5 bathrooms are in a bedroom or adjacent to a bedroom. It’s not a deal breaker but if you choose the bedroom on the top floor, everyone will probably use that bathroom during the day. The beach is within walking distance but not if you have a lot of stuff to carry. We parked our car at the public beach parking lot around the corner from the house. I would stay at this house again. The management company that handled the rental was professional, friendly and always available when I had a question.

Great beach house for OBX

Our family really enjoyed staying at this property for our 1 week trip to OBX. It's relatively close to the beach and pool is very nice. The pool was cleaned twice when we were there. The house offer lots of space for our family the rooms are all very good size. We won't mind staying here again if we visit in the future.

Great place for families with children!

The house was perfect for our extended family of 14, with children ranging in age from 3-12. The pool was the perfect size and the baby pool was fantastic! We enjoyed playing badminton on the sand court and shooting hoops in the driveway. The house is very nice and well maintained. It is a drive to the beach, definitely not walking distance with the little ones, but, it is a very short drive to the public access beach lot, so very convenient. This was our first experience in the Outer Banks and it was wonderful! The management company was very attentive and helpful! The only issue we had, and it is certainly not the fault of the owners, was that we found two half eaten apples, toys left from previous renters, crumbs, etc under couches and a bed on separate floors. But this did not take away from our overall amazing experience!
