À propos de cet hébergement

Notre condo est situé à la Gulf Shores Plantation. L'adresse est à environ 12 miles des principales attractions du centre-ville de Gulf Shores. Notre condo est dans le bâtiment 2, East Side, au 2ème étage. Nous sommes commodément situés près de l'ascenseur et de l'escalier. Notre condo est sur le côté du golfe, avant golfe. Notre bâtiment est perpendiculaire. Nous sommes la 4ème unité de retour de la plage. Il est à environ 30 mètres à pied de la promenade de la plage, des piscines extérieures et une piscine intérieure. (Nous possédons également le condo juste à côté de celui-ci. Il dort également 6 personnes, il dispose de 2 chambres et 2 salles de bains et dispose également d'un canapé-lit. Vous pouvez le voir sur les locations de vacances, annonce ID # 7111168.) Les unités sont construites à un angle, ce qui offre de bonnes vues sur l'océan en particulier depuis le balcon et la chambre principale. Il s'agit d'un condo de 2 chambres, 2 salles de bain et pouvant accueillir confortablement 6 personnes. Le condo est joliment décoré et la cuisine est entièrement équipée. En avril 2017, nous avons installé de nouveaux comptoirs et planchers dans la cuisine. Nous avons des lits queen dans les deux chambres. La chambre principale a salle de bain privée. Nous avons une télévision à écran plat dans le salon et la chambre principale. Nous avons un nouveau canapé-lit dans le salon, avec matelas en mousse à mémoire, également queen size. Tous les meubles du salon ont été achetés neufs lorsque nous avons acheté ce condo en juin 2016. Nous avons Internet / wi-fi et le câble. Strictement, Pas d'animaux autorisés sur les lieux et strictement, Interdiction de fumer dans le condo !!!

A quick family getaway

This unit was perfect for a quick family getaway. We brought the grandparents along and we had enough space. The unit is well stocked and had everything we needed. The unit is all updated and very clean. Made our stay very enjoyable! The amenities in the resort are perfect for families.

Fun Trip

The trip was fun and the room was nice but the drive to get to most restaurants was a good 15-20 minutes hence the 3 stars. The reason I'm giving 3 stars for cleanliness is because there was poop from a young child in the outdoor pool.

It was very enjoyable

The bed in the brown mermaid room was uncomfortable and there wasn’t that many towels available in the unit but either than that it was very enjoyable. The tvs worked great and the location was easily accessible to all pools and the beach.

Long weekend getaway

My family really enjoyed our stay. The condo was great! Very clean and convenient to the beach and pools. The condo is about 20 minutes from Gulf Shores proper but the seclusion is nice with plenty of stores and resturants close by to make it not a problem. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation

We have stayed at Gulf Shores Plantation for close to 20 years. It is a great resort. The condo was great, very clean, kitchen was stocked and so was the Closet with beach toys, rafts and an umbrella!!! Would HIGHLY recommend :)

Great time!

Second stay at this location and was just as expected once again. Everything you need for a week stay. Beaches not over crowded at all. Wish the internet was better for evening streaming. Over all a great stay.

Great Place with Great Staff

Beautiful place to stay for spring break. Loved the indoor pool, sauna, and steam room because it was too windy when we went. But it was a great place with a good restaurant called sassy bass (get their island benedict)! Would definitely go back!

Great place

Family of 5 great place. My kids are 8yo and 5yo. They loved the ocean and pool. Most stores and places to eat are 20/25min drive. We didn't mind the dive at all. Definitely recommend for families.

Nice and quiet and close to the Gulf.

Nice condo, nice amenities. Close to Gulf and all pools. We liked the peace and quiet, and that we were away from the Downtown area. It was easy to get to Downtown Gulf Shores and a short ride to Pt. Morgan attractions.

The condo was everything as described and so grateful to be tucked away from the craziness of Spring Break. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone visiting Gulf Shores. The owner was extremely helpful and quick to respond with any questions I asked.

Our condo was clean and set up perfectly. Shop early in the morning to avoid lines and if going into to town to eat go early afternoon to avoid waits. Beautiful place to vacation.

Great property! We enjoyed walking boardwalk every day to uncrowded sugar sand beach. Fun looking for shells, walking in the surf, and viewing brown pelicans, blue herons, and sandpipers. We enjoyed our patio and being able to sit out or have lunch outdoors. It was great to be near Ft. Morgan and the ferry to Dauphin Island. It was a short drive to many of the tourist attractions of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Nice at the end of the day to return to quiet spot at the Plantation.

Nice older condo with good amenities

Condo was clean . Limited side view of beach. Ice maker not working and needs new pots and pans for cooking as cookware very old and difficult to cook seafood etc. New furnishing in living room. Nice indoor/ outdoor pool.

Property was nice. The entire complex needs to be updated.

Overall the gulf was beautiful. People in the area were not polite. Waitresses at the Sassy Bass were not nice. I found that most people in the area were the same. So much for southern hospitality.

The room wasn't very clean. There was food on the floor when we entered and some of the linens were dirty. We also didn't get our code until 2 hours after check in time. Luckily the cleaning ladies were around and let us in after we got an email that the room "was clean and ready". The beach was nice and the room was mostly updated.

Nice Condo & View

This is a very nice condo. The location is great, just a minute walk to the beach. There are a few things about the condo itself that would make it better. This is a 2 bedroom condo and there is only one bedroom with a television in it. There is a television in the living room as well. Since we have small kids they had to sleep in the living room due to the fact that they wanted to watch tv at night(there was a pull out sofa). Also the 2nd bedroom is close to the hallway, and we noticed at night that it is very easy to see through that window, so maybe some better curtains would fix this issue. Overall the condo is great!!! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return in the near future. If you plan to visit, I would suggest that you grab any and everything that you may need from the store before you arrive as the nearest real grocery store is about 13 miles away.

Disappointing Stay

We thought long and hard about leaving an unsatisfactory review, but we unfortunately did not have the same experience as other reviewers with this rental and felt it worthy of mention. The AC did not work from the start and was not in service for 2 nights of our 3 night trip. Techs were sent out, but it was not repaired/replaced until 2 days in. Although we understand when certain things happen (i.e. owner informed us right before that the ice machine went out), the AC does not fall within this category. The outage affected our stay, especially when using the oven which heated up the small space and in the evenings when it was very warm and uncomfortable to sleep. We were offered a comp night & future discount, but feel we should have been compensated for the 2nd night as well that we spent without AC and proper ventilation. Communication was also one sided. We initiated each and every communication with the owner. Even after the initial mention of the AC issue, the owners did not check in with us following the techs visit the 1st day to see if they had any success. We have reasonable and fair expectations for our vacations, but when it comes to air conditioning, that is a "make or break" the trip type of amenity. This was a disappointing trip/stay for our family.

Not quite as expected

So, first of all, I realize a cleaning service is hired to take care of this unit after each guest checks out. All I can say is...whatever the owner is paying them, it's too much. I have a cleaning business, and there are many things being overlooked. There was a layer of dust so thick on the top trim of every doorway, that I was able to see it from several feet away (and my eye sight ain't what it used to be). Also, the fan and blades were covered in dust. Enough that it would have taken several months to accumulate. I also had to change the AC filter when we arrived. It was blinking on the thermastadt and it wasn't cooling properly. It might cut down on the dust, if someone would just check on that periodically...just sayin'. There was also some damage to the front entry door that had occurred the previous week, and it was not fixed properly. The door facing basically fell apart on our first full day there. It may have been the COVID situation that was delaying a proper repair, but still an inconvenience and interruption in our vacation. They put a bandaid on it, just like the first half-arse fix, and it was never repaired correctly, or replaced before we left. We were there 6 nights. I'm sure the next renters had to deal with the same issue. I can say, the owner was very apologetic, and answered any communication promptly. I do feel they were having a difficult time getting repair people to follow through. Overall, we still had a wonderful time. The complex is safe, and very family oriented. And the beach was beautiful, and the water was clear! And that's what we came for anyway.

End of summer getaway

Overall we had a great time. Cleanliness of the condo was fine but the property seemed a little dirty .I manage a public space so I know how difficult it can be to keep a property clean, The food in the area was good and we enjoyed breakfast at Sassy Bass. I would say there is a 99% chance we will stay there again in the future.

Our names are Chris and Michelle DiChiara. We have been owners for 10 years now. We bought our first condo here in 2013. We live in Helena, AL. We have 2 children, Whitney who is 33 and Christopher who is 28. We have 2 wonderful grandchildren, girl is 4 and our little boy is 8 months. We love spending time with our grandchildren, we are crazy about them both. We love bringing them down to the beach with us. Our 4 year old would live there. We love everything about our home away from home. I know that our guests will enjoy it, too.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We bought this condo mainly because of its location and the beautiful views. We have always loved the area. It is quiet, beautiful and peaceful. The resort is completely awesome, with the most awesome fellow owners. We've been coming to this area all of our lives and knew that we would own here, one day, if possible. We have been very blessed!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We love the peacefulness during the off season. Sometimes, during the peak season, it’s not quite as peaceful, but still very nice and relaxing. The amenities are great.
