This place was beyond what we expected. Right on the water with a nice deck. Rained some but that was ok because the whole side towards the water is sliding glass doors so you still could enjoy the view. Loved our stay and it was so relaxing. Hot tub is private but faces the water which was nice. We would love to go back in the future.

Wonderful property to relax in and enjoy the water! Hosts were welcoming and easy to communicate with. Especially enjoyed the kayaks and the hot tub. The views are amazing and the wrap around deck was perfect. Loved having our own private beach and dock. Would definitely recommend!

No complaints. The owners make a lot of efforts to make your stay pleasant, like a closet with extra batteries, sunscreen, etc. Kitchen has a lot of extras like 3 different types of coffee makers. The views are amazing and its nice to have a bit of lawn to walk the dogs around.

The host Brian and Carla were very communicative and very kind throughout our stay. The house itself was gorgeous and every time we had a moment where we thought of something we needed we looked and there it was! The whole house had a really intuitive design. We were very grateful for all of the accommodations.

Wonderful stay! The home is super cozy and the lay out and labels made the space welcoming. I love when a rental is labeled and allows you to ease right into vacation mode. We loved all the pics, balloons and personal touches you added to celebrate our anniversary. We loved watching sunset from the dock, playing cards on the deck and enjoyed soaking in the hot tub. Your kitchen was also fully stocked with essentials, which we greatly appreciate. Again, overall a wonderful stay and would recommend to friends/family. Also— Clara your art is beautiful!

We actually gave this to our son and daughter in law for their honeymoon. When they got there the owners had decorated the house with candles, balloons, goodies and a picture of them. They said everything was amazing and plan on going back for their first anniversary.

Perfect get away spot

From the time we arrived, we were enjoying the beautiful view. The host really made our stay wonderful as the home is set up with everything you need and then some extras. We really enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board during the day and brought along some floats for a little relaxation in the water. After dinner, we enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful sunset. We all left there well rested and wanting to come back soon. It was the perfect get away to kick off summer.

Well appointed property and beautiful location

This was a great place for a December get-away. The location was lovely, and well stocked, with a full kitchen for those who like to cook, herbs, spices, condiments, cleaning supplies, fluffy bathrobes, q-tips, laundry detergent, etc. We needed to communicate wtih the owners a few times, and they were a pleasure to talk to. We decided to spend a little more on our get-away, and it was totally worth it.

PERFECTION!

The water views are beyond picture-perfect. The owners clearly put great care into providing every amenity you could think of! The home is clean, beautifully decorated, and the views from inside are simply unbeatable. Step outside onto expansive decking, enjoy the fantastic hot tub, stroll down to the private beach, or relax by the dock - it’s all incredible. Brian and Clara were responsive, and were extra thoughtful with our welcome!We enjoyed every second of our trip - fishing, kayaking, swimming, sitting by the fire pit, and soaking in the hot tub. Honestly, though, I think our dog may have loved the water even more than we did! Missing the views already!

We really enjoyed our time at the Beachfront Hideaway. The owners were very accommodating, allowing us to bring an extra dog and arrive early. When we arrived, there was a special treat surprise--not sure if they do that for all guests, or because I mentioned it was my husband's birthday. Either way, it was appreciated. The house itself was great. The views were spectacular and it was nice to be able to enjoy them from inside the house (it was cold!) and outside. The fenced deck was an added bonus as we were able to lock our dogs outside there and not worry about them running away. The pier was fantastic as well as the beach--we cannot wait to return in warmer weather. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The kitchen was well-appointed, I appreciated that they didn't lock up all their cleaning supplies, and there were nice touches like individually wrapped toothbrushes if you forgot something. Overall, I would recommend staying at this VRBO.

A great weekend in a great setting. The place was cute and bright, in a quiet neighborhood, and right on the water. We caught & steamed crabs, we sat out on the deck and watched the water, we cooked dinner, saw shooting stars from the hot tub. Kitchen very well stocked with good tools. Dedicated easy parking. Dog loved it. Neighbors were quiet, and also out catching crabs like us. Bald eagles flying around. Plenty of towels. In terms of location, it's an hour from Washington's birthplace, Pope's Creek and Stratford Hall. 30 minutes to lunch on the water at Horn Harbor. 15 minutes to Food Lion. My only feedback for improvement is that I wish the beds were softer.

Great location for a getaway.

I booked this rental for a week to fish from my kayak because it was a waterfront property with access to the bay. There is a huge ma and pap hunting/fishing store 10 min away that I would recommend to pick up bait and gear. I did catch some keeper size crabs right off the dock as well as a nice sized shad in the coan river area with a minnow.To those looking to spend time on the water this is a great location. There is even a private sandy beach with room to put towels down and relax by the water. There are not a ton of restaurants or non water related activities nearby, but this was not a problem because I was busy boating in the nice weather all week. I did pick up some steamed crabs from a nearby seafood market that were tasty. There was one day that the wind was low and the biting flies terrorized my dog to the point she was bleeding. This happened close to shore about a quarter mile NW of Judith sound where I believe there was stagnant water nearby. Those suckers are tenacious and followed me and my dog over a mile out into open water, but I did not have any issues with flies near the rental or anywhere else. They may have been attracted to the stinky shrimp I was using as bait. I also really enjoyed the hottub in the evenings when the temperatures dropped. It is a high end model and well maintained. Overall I would recommend this rental.

We really enjoyed our stay in Lottsburg! The view from the house is amazing and my boys enjoyed the kayaks, paddle board and fishing rods. We cooked every night on one of the two grills and there were plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc. for a family meal. House was very clean and cozy - I would recommend coming in the winter as well as the house features a hot tub, fire pit and fireplace which would be lovely for a quick city get-away. It's about 2 - 2.5 hours from DCA, but a very pretty drive through country roads. Communication was great, check-in was simple, no issues to report during our stay!
