We really enjoyed our stay. Loved being right on the river at the end of the street. Went for an evening swim with the dogos. We were in the area visiting family in Sebastapol it was nice to be close and have our own space. Thank you guys for sharing your beautiful place with us.

We had a wonderful time. Very relaxing! We loved how close the river was. Enjoyed the entertainment every night watching the bats. The home was very cozy. Thank you! Had some local food. The Hot Box was very good.

Our favorite place we have stayed in at the Russian river by FAR! Wonderful lakeside cabin feel. It feels like people have actually lived there and loved the home (unlike most rental properties that have clearly never had a resident). Great location right by downtown.

We found this property ideal for our family: clean, quiet, close to all our destinations (Armstrong Redwoods, Snoopy Museum, Jenner Headlands, Fort Ross) and... by the river. Thank to the owners who provided kayaks. It was a pleasant surprise to find the spacious kitchen with everything we needed, full of spices, oil, and even honey.Another very helpful convenience was that we could park our car inside the property.Hopefully we will have another chance to visit Sonoma county.

This cabin has become our home away from home. We go several times a year because it instantly makes us feel relaxed and cozy. We sit around the wood stove in the dining/living room every morning enjoying the incredible view, visiting and sipping our coffee. It has absolutely everything we love about getting away.

Unforgettable Stay at The Last Resort!Our stay at The Last Resort on the Russian River was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how spotless, welcoming, and thoughtfully maintained everything was. The home was even better than we expected—comfortable, spacious, and perfect for our entire family.The outdoor patio was clearly designed for entertaining and quickly became one of our favorite places to relax and spend time together. The river access was fantastic and made our stay even more special. The kids had an amazing time, were so well-behaved, and made memories they will cherish for years.This was exactly the peaceful, joyful family getaway we needed. Everything about our experience was truly five-star, and we cannot recommend The Last Resort highly enough. We would return in a heartbeat!

The Last Resort is our first choice in Guernville!

Love the views and the setting surrounded by redwoods. The cabin feeling is cozy and the fireplace and wood stove are fabulous for sitting around in the morning with cups of coffee. We can’t wait to visit again!

Great property

The property is at the end of the street with a vineyard on one side, so there is no traffic back and forth of people or cars, and very quiet. Easy access to the river and lots of mature trees. We enjoyed it.

Meh - a bit dated, doesn't look like someone does a great job upkeeping, didn't really feel welcome, all these big logs to put into the fireplace yet not a single piece of kindling to be found. I dunno...spend a little more and get something a lot nicer in the area, I'd expect. Good enough? Maybe.

Thank you for your feedback. We want to address a few points to clarify the experience for future guests. As our listing describes, this is a rustic Guerneville cabin on the river. The 'dated' elements you mentioned...like the original wood floors, single-pane windows, and wood stoves, are exactly what give the home its authentic river charm. We are very transparent that this is a cozy, dog-friendly, nature retreat, not a high-end luxury hotel. We strive to offer a less expensive, river-front alternative for families looking to enjoy the river and redwoods. Regarding the kindling and feeling welcome: We were surprised to see this comment as we sent 3 separate messages leading up to your stay, as well as a message the day after you checked in specifically asking if you needed anything or if everything was going well. We never received a reply. Had you let us know you were struggling with the fire, we would have been more than happy to drop off kindling immediately. We believe this cabin is the perfect fit for guests looking for a fun, rustic river getaway, but we agree...if you are looking for modern luxury, this is likely not the place for you.

Was a great stay, beautiful trees surrounding the property and secluded river access. Home has a lot of character and beds were comfy. Kitchen is well stocked!One thing to note if you have small kids is the presence of the neighbor’s dog. He ran onto the property twice trying to get in the house and jumped up on us, he was also down by the river when we were there. Cabin can be a little chilly if you’re unable to get the wood stove started.Otherwise great spot on the river

Really nice place to stay. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen pretty easy to work in, and a large dining table for lots of people. We loved access to the river and the generous use of the kayaks. I only wish we had checked out the river access sooner as we might not have driven out to the bigger river the first day in town. The hosts were super responsive during the visit as well as after when I left some things at the property. I would note though that the bunk bed is up next to a single pane window between the bedroom and the living room. It was fine for our 13 year old to sleep there but we quickly made it off limits for the younger kids. Just something to know if you have little ones.

Our stay was great! The house was very comfortable and well apportioned. An excellent combo of creature comforts and rustic charm. We especially loved waking up and drinking our coffee amongst the red woods each morning and easy river access for swimming and playing later in the day. Jordan was very communicative and made the stay a breeze

Great rustic house with a view of the river. Everything we needed for a family of 3 to enjoy a week lounging around and hanging out by the river. Found a pretty secluded beach just a 3 minute walk from the house. All in all a great place for a family vacation!
