We stayed at the Suisun Valley Inn for two nights with a group of 16 gals for a Bachelorette Party. It was the perfect spot for us! The Inn was spacious, clean, and the grounds and views were breath taking. Gary was a wonderful communicator the entire time. I cannot recommend this place more!
We loved staying at this charming estate. It was spacious and each room had its own charm. I highly recommend this property for any group! The owner was very accommodating and communicative. We hope to come back!
Great property for a family reunion! Plenty of room indoors and for preparing our Thanksgiving feast. Outdoor space was perfect for lawn games and we had a blast. Thank you Gary!
We had such a great time at Gary's property. There was a big group of us coming in from all over the U.S. and Gary's property was able to accommodate all of us. In a very good location for visiting wineries. Has everything you could think of from washer/dryer, two ovens, grill, hot tub, pots, pans, plates. I would highly recommend staying here. Gary is very quick to answer. The main road was closed for construction our last day, but Gary was on top of it and helped us with an alternate route.
Wonderful wonderful place to stay. Such a refreshing location with the green grass and gorgeous vineyards. The house was everything we anticipated and so much more. Gary and his wife have gone above and beyond and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute and even added an extra night to our stay. Do not hesitate to book this beautiful home! You will not be disappointed. Loved it all!!
Gary's massive inn was an excellent place to welcome family and friends for my wife's 40th birthday party. There is plenty of room for large groups to be able to move around the property. The house has great amenities and an interesting history behind it. There are also nice areas to stroll around the vineyard as well. We took advantage of the firepit in the backyard at night as well. It was a great experience.
We came with a large group of our family, and loved staying at the inn. Wonderful property with lots of space for children to play, plus a number of fun amenities. Spacious rooms, and a great kitchen and dining room set up. Also very conveniently located for those in SF Bay Area.
Beautiful property that feels like part of living history
The largest and most beautiful place we have ever stayed at on VRBO. The surroundings were peaceful and picturesque. Our family loved walking along the grape vines and siting near the river. Staying there during the holidays we the Christmas tree and outside lighting felt like an extra treat.
Everything was as described. The owner was extremely welcoming and communication was easy and efficient.
The house is perfectly set up for large groups. All bedrooms are separated and give a sense of privacy, especially on the first floor. Hotel-quality toiletries were provided. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook and serve a large group. The house was immaculate and the grounds were beautiful. Gary was a responsive host. He answered requests and questions almost immediately. Located about 40min from Napa- well located for wine tasting!
This was perfect for our group of 6 couples. We went to 3 Wineries a day in Napa each day. The drive to Napa vineyards was about 35 minutes, but worth it. Thanks Gary!
We had a large group of 13 for a weekend reunion and had a wonderful time at the estate. It was great to have so many bedrooms and bathrooms so couples could have their own space while being able to enjoy the large communal areas and huge outdoor space. We also used the estate as our home base for a wine tour and found it super easy and actually very close to wineries in Napa. Gary was an exceptional host and was able to help with any questions our group had and helped us find equipment in the well-stocked home. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a great long weekend in the valley with 8 couples. Great communication throughout planning and more than enough room and fun things to do. 45 minutes or so to get to the âotherâ wine valleys. Thanks Gary!!
Had a wonderful experience with the group of friends and family.
Plenty of games and space on the property to keep kids engaged. Trampoline was a major hit with kids. Gary was very helpful and responsive to our needs.
I found this gorgeous place that overlooks a vineyard for my wifeâs surprise 40th birthday celebration. What a find! There were 16 adults and we had an amazing stay. The house and grounds were perfect. After some wine tasting we all had tons of space to relax and have dinner and slip off to sleep in amazing rooms with the most comfortable linens. I highly recommend this place. The owner Gary was great to help us if there was anything we needed. Canât say enough about this place. Thanks Gary.
We came to celebrate my 60th birthday with 16 total. Gathering in the kitchen and living room was just right. The grounds were everything we could expect
Gary built one of the most successful corporate housing companies on the East Coast which was sold to Equity Residential in 2001. He retired a year later and began the first of many expeditions to six continents. Ying was a national tour director in China where the two met in 2002. Gary and Ying were married in 2008 and settled in Fairfield, California where they operate summer camps for Chinese youth through the American Chinese Cultural Exchange Service.
The inn was built in 2004 as the principal residence at Monroe Ranch which had been in the owner's family since 1860. A lifelong devotee of George Washington, the residence resembles Mt. Vernon, Washington's estate in Virginia. The home had been used for weekend retreats by the family whose principal residence was south of San Francisco. With eight bedrooms and seven baths, the home was easily convertible into an inn.
The property has a unique history including the fact that it was once the site of 'Big Camp' a 1000-strong Chinese settlement along the banks of Suisun Creek where railroad-weary workers lived and farmed the land for area ranchers. The property is surrounded by vineyards and farmland. Fifty-eight magnolia trees and a single remaining 100-year old pear tree line the quarter-mile entryway to the inn. Over forty variety of birds enjoy fruit from our trees during the day and at night scores of constellations are easily identified.
