Welcome to your peaceful retreat in Humboldt Hill! Nestled in a charming wooded neighborhood just 10 minutes from the heart of Eureka, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath open-concept home offers the perfect mix of seclusion and convenience. Step inside and feel instantly at ease as natural light pours in through the windows, highlighting the spacious living area that seamlessly flows into the modern kitchen—ideal for cooking up a feast after a day exploring the stunning redwoods or nearby beaches.

The home's wooded surroundings make it feel like you're tucked away in nature, yet you'll never be far from the local restaurants, shops, and coastal beauty of Eureka. Whether you're relaxing in the cozy living room, enjoying a morning coffee on the deck, or unwinding in one of the comfortable bedrooms, this is the perfect spot to escape and recharge!

There are 3 bedrooms each with a queen bed, clothing storage, or closet. The two bathrooms each have a vanity and shower/tub combo, one of the bathrooms is attached to the primary bedroom. Outside, there is a small wooden deck with chairs to enjoy your morning coffee and afternoon wine, as well as a large private gravel driveway for the little one's in your group to play! We recommend parking in the driveway however, there is a garage with space for 1 car as well as the washer and dryer.

This was the perfect place for a girls weekend. We traveled to CA for the Avenue of the Giants half marathon, and this location was perfect. We spent time in Eureka which was so lovely and quaint. The check in process was so easy and they even reached out to let me know we could get in early if we needed.

This house worked well for our group of five: 3 adults and 2 children. The kitchen is well supplied and everything was super clean. We found that everything worked (though we did not use the TV or BBQ).If you are travelling with young children, keep in mind that there is not much in the way of outdoor play area and only glass or ceramic cups. Not a showstopper, but good to know. We were able to reach the property managers easily by text message.

The host was beyond phenomenal in communication and concern for us being comfortable and to enjoy our stay. We had vehicles that we were concerned about on our trip and this place had an available garage which allayed those concerns and worked perfectly. The home was cozy and well kept, and the location a good match for us! We had a group of 6 and while we did have to have a couple of our group utilize air mattresses that we brought, this home had ample room and space to use them in addition to the rooms and beds. Our stay here was very appreciated and the accommodations stocked well for sundries and supplies for cooking, if you so choose. Definitely reasonably priced and far better than a hotel for the value!

The house was even better/bigger than the pictures looked! We had a comfortable stay and plenty of room for my family of 5. Although the porch wasn't large, It was a lovely space to have our morning coffee and enjoy the wildlife (the deer, hummingbirds and slugs were a highlight). There were coffee beans provided-enough to last the entire week, which was a pleasant surprise! And a larger 14 cup coffee pot that was handy. We enjoyed the open living space and the privacy of the house being tucked away in a nice wooded environment. The host was very responsive. We had an issue with a broken fan and they replaced it the same day. They also recommended Galaghers for dinner in downtown Eureka and it might have been our favorite stop!

Quiet Getaway Location Close to Redwoods

Property was ideally located for Avenue of Giants, Fern Canyon, and the Redwood Skywalk. Tucked away on the outskirts of Eureka (has everything you need or want).

Great place to stay

The Hillcrest Hideaway was great and had everything we needed during our vacation. Beautiful scenery, yard with Deer, slugs and other local wildlife. Close to all the areas we visited and had everything in kitchen for our meals. Would stay here again.

Nice, quiet place

Very nice house for our family of 4. Quiet neighborhood with easy access to the 101 for everywhere we wanted to go. Would definitely recommend!

Location, location, vacation.

Great place for extended stay while on vacation. In between Prairie Creek State Park to the north and Avenue of the Giants to the southeast, and just outside Eureka.

Enjoyed our stay

The property was fantastic! Extremely clean and the property management company was extremely communicative. We were even able to check in hours before check-in time which was extremely nice! I would definitely recommend staying here!

Cute little place, convenient location

Overall very clean, well furnished and very convenient location to just about anything you would want to do or eat. All the places we visited were within 1-1.5 hours.

Cozy, quiet, comfy!

We enjoyed our stay here in Eureka. Check in was a breeze, the home was clean and ready for our stay. The place is also tucked away nicely for privacy, but also not too far from stores/restaurants. We would stay here again.
