The Davis Room features a king-size bed with an optional cot for additional sleeping space. The Jewett Room offers a cozy queen bed and its own private full bathroom, while the Lindley Room also includes a comfortable queen bed. For extra guests, thereâs a full-size sofa bed in the living room. Inside, you'll find a formal dining room, a second casual dining area, a fully equipped kitchen perfect for preparing meals, and a welcoming living room ideal for unwinding after a day exploring Old Town Eureka. The Campton House beautifully blends its historic charm with all the modern comforts you need for a relaxing stay. No parties or events. No smoking or vaping.
The neighborhood is in a good walking area, but a little desolate. The heating, cleanliness, water pressure, WiFi were all great. The kitchen was basic and the neighborhood didnât have amazing food options, but it was a great launching pad for exploring Arcata, Clam Beach, Trinidad and the state parks.
An old house with character! Interesting design with knocks and crannies. It was comfortable with lots of room for our family. It is located close to the Old Town area. We walked to Los Bagels for coffee and treats. Easy access to places we wanted to go such as Fields Landing, the Zoo and highway to the Farmers Market in Arcata and the Trinidad Beach.
This was a lovely home to stay in. Very cozy and perfect for what we were looking for. We stayed here so that we could spend our time hiking and exploring the red woods. We enjoyed a sea kayaking experience and enjoyed wonderful 4th of July fireworks all within comfortable driving distance from the house. The stove was very similar to the one my grandmother had in her home. It worked beautifully and was nostalgic for me. We enjoyed shopping in downtown Eureka and were pleasantly surprised with the amazing thrift stores and other boutiques. We also really enjoyed the doughnut shop that is just around the corner. They were so delicious and the real deal. This is a town on its way up again. That being said, the neighborhood is a bit adventurous. We, however, we always felt very safe at the house and while out in town. Being an adventurous family we have lots of funny memories that are sure to be family lore. You are sure to have a blast in Eureka. Great hosts! Very accommodating and communicative.
Weâre right in the heart of Old Town Eureka, so expect a bit of city buzz with foot and car traffic during the day. The good news? You can safely walk to shops, restaurants, and local spots â no need to drive if youâre in the mood to explore!
Welcome to this lovely old soul of a home â over 100 years young and still going strong! Youâll find some charming signs of age here and there, but the home is spacious, cozy, and full of comfy corners to kick back and relax.
