We loved being able to stay together as a family, but still have our own space. The beach was so close to walk to. We had a great time and the kids loved the pool.

Great place to stay for big Family!!!

We rented out all 4 condos. The property manager was amazing answered all our question quickly and was so nice and helpful. The property is just a short walk away from the beach the location was nice. The kids loves the pool and was a big backyard to relax in. The condos were great and would stay here again.

Great family spot

All rooms were great. The only down fall was that the wifi wasn't working well. But that helped us look up from our phones and make more memories and laugh more. Our family would totally stay here again.

Sorry the wi-fi wasn't working well and really glad you made the best of it! Being on the coast, our cable service & internet aren't as stable as in other places.

50th birthday weekend

Location was fine, check in very smooth, Chas checked in with us every day. It worked for what we needed and the price we paid but would probably look for something else next time we come.

Great Stay

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The beach is pretty easy to walk to, and it's nice having the small pool in the back to enjoy as well (perfect for pool volleyball and for young kids to swim in). We also liked having 4 units so everyone could have a little privacy (but the drawback to that is that there is not good open place for a large group to all eat together like there would be in a house). But it was a fun trip and we would recommend it.

Cleanning a must

The rooms were filled with roaches, bedsheets and blankets were dirty. Lounge chairs in the pool area were very old and breaking apart. Overall the rooms needed a lot of cleanning and the whole building needs to be upgraded. With the amount of money we spent the owner should be taking care of things.

So sorry we failed to meet your expectations. We had some issues with our house keepers that we have taken care of and we will be dropping Terminix in favor of a local exterminator for our pest control needs. The broken lounges were replaced and removed from use, but we were unable to dispose of them until later in the month. We were surprised to find them returned to use by our lawn guy or possibly by guests. Generally, we get very good marks for our cleanliness, and work hard to keep it that way. Our biggest regret is that these things were not brought to our attention during your stay when we would have been happy to deal with them asap.

#2 room to warm, no RR airvent tht worked, no back yard lighting good enough to have meals in the back yard. Front porch light didn't work. House hold pots and pans not enough to make a good meal. Basically good enough for spring breakers. No iron or board, washing machine cost 2 bucks to use. Yep not happy with property. All manager would when asked about ac was keep door closed or the coils freeze up. No help...

Sorry you were disappointed with our condos. We might have made better progress with the AC, but you ghosted me when I tried to start a dialog about what might be the problem & then said it was fine when I followed up the next day. There are also plenty of pots & pans ( and dishes, cups & silverware) at the condos. They aren't fancy, but they are clean & okay to use. The only real issue with them is that when we rent all 4 condos together (which is all summer), folks tend to mix them around in the various condos. If you don't have what you need, try asking the folks you rented the other condos with.

Pretty Perfect Beach Flex

This is probably the most flexible space you'll find for an SPI vacation. 4 different units with subtly different beds/layouts, a common pool, multiple common outdoor areas. It allows for a good spread, but being together lets people come and go throughout the units.. There is an amassed collection of beach gear, most of it is in useful condition. The walk to the beach is very manageable, and the house itself is very central to all things SPI! The pool + outdoor shower is a *must* with kids at a beach vacation, which this has. There is also laundry on site (charge for the washer). Chas is a very gracious and flexible host, and very responsive to needs (the A/C was a bit finicky but he worked it out). Thank you, Chas!

We stayed here with our family, 14 members total. The location was great, pool was nice, size of unit was accommodating. Manager was responsive to several concerns we had during our stay. Those have been addressed to him directly.

Perfect property for families!

Perfect property for families! We each had our own private unit and a private pool in the backyard to top it off! Would definitely stay here again and I’m already recommending this place to everyone I know! And Chas was a great host!

Oleander Lodge

Oleander Lodge is an excellent place to stay for large groups that want a certain amount of privacy. With 7 bedrooms in 4 condos with even more spots to sleep if need be, this was the perfect place for our family get-together.

Convenient location

We rented all 4 units for a family Christmas beach vacation and had a wonderful time. The beach is just a short walk away. The host was very responsive to our inquiries. The units are outdated but clean. If guests are planning to prepare meals, consider bringing some supplies. The kitchen is not well stocked and some of the burners on the stove were not working. There are many pool and beach toys, boards, and floats available for use. There are lots of outdoor patio chairs for gatherings on the balcony or in the backyard by the pool. The privacy-fenced yard is nice and accommodates pets well. There is a washing machine (costs $2) and a dryer so we brought laundry detergent to wash our towels and wet clothes during our stay. Shower supplies were not provided but hand and dish soap were. There is a Dollar General within walking distance. Overall it was great accommodations and we would stay here again.

Great memories

It's a little outdated, but the location is great. Walking distance from the beach access. Thanks for having swim toys and camping folding chairs. 13 people in our group and we all slept comfortably. We did rent all 4 condos to accommodate my family. Chas was very responsive and took care of any questions we had. Definitely recommending this location.

Family vacation 2021

Overall the experience was excellent. From showing up to the property, and having the most easy check-in. All the way to just relaxing at the property. There was only ten on this family trip ,but the room was plentiful. Everyone had more than enough room. Long story short, so basically, you just show up and vacation. I really loved the place. Will definitely reserve the property in the future.

Great for our large group

Very affordable place to stay for a large group. It was great to all be together, yet still have lots of privacy. The pool was great! Just a block away from the beach. This place is nothing fancy, so don’t be expecting a 5-star ritzy experience, but it was just perfect for us. Plenty of parking. Chas was easy to communicate with and was very willing to make sure we were happy with our experience. We will definitely be back!

We had 4 families with a total of 15 people. The condo was perfect. It is an older property, but very clean. The owner was always available and quick to help with a couple of very minor issues. It was nice having the pool to ourselves in the backyard. Great value! Thanks Chas!

Great Getaway

We had the best time at the Oleander Beach Lodge! We had 17 people and 3 house trained dogs and it just worked out so perfect. Chas was easy to get in contact with and the check in process was so smooth. It was 4 different sections so each family got they’re own little space. Beach/pool accessories were available to us and the place had wifi. The pool is a good size and it was less than a block away from the beach! Overall our stay was amazing!

Fit our vacation perfect

Chas was great at communicating for anything we needed or had questions on. The rooms were very clean, just could have a little updating but we didn't spend all that much time in the rooms anyway. Pool was a nice added bonus for us and the beach was a block walk away. Plenty of stores in walking distance and everyone rents golf carts anyway so getting anywhere else was super easy. Great location, had everything we needed, Chas was awesome, definitely would stay again if we are in the area!
