We were three couples staying to ride the trails in the area. We had no issues finding the house and the location was great for riding straight to the trails.
First, the house is in a great location just a few miles from town. You can ride your OHV into town to access trails or shops & most restaurants. There was room for all six of us, but be aware the downstairs bedrooms are tiny. They have thoughtfully put a dresser in the closet which helps immensely. The kitchen has most anything youâd need for preparing meals and there was storage in the laundry room for our groceries. The washer & dryer work great.
There was room for our 3 trucks and trailers, but it would have been difficult if we hadnât parked one in the guest house drive which thankfully was ok with management.
We didnât not use the fire pit area but it was very nice and wood was available. This is the only spot that has a view of the lake. There is also plenty of seating on the front porch.
There were some drawbacks which Iâll state, but these may not bother others.
The kitchen is TINY ! One person at a time. Itâs extremely narrow and little counter space.
The sewer treatment for the whole neighborhood is right next to the house and smelled awful at times. The house was in need of a deep cleaning. Dusty and rugs quite dirty.
All in all it was a good fit even with some drawbacks and they rescued us after locking keys in the house. Thank you, Tannah !
The perfect place to stay for our week-long elk hunt!
This is our second property to rent from Lakeview & everything was awesome!! Tannah was quick to respond to any question I had and the property was even more beautiful than it looked online!! đ
We had our ATVs and it was so convenient to drive right from there! The beautiful log home was right across from the lake, the guys went fishing and caught 11 rainbow trout!!
We loved the fire pit and sat out there every
night. We would definitely stay there again!!Great getaway!!
Nice house/property. Photos of the lake somewhat misleading as the house is farther away than expected. The internet was very sketchy. We were required to take our trash to a dumpster which we had trouble finding. So many rules with $25 penalties, made me not really feel welcome for the high price we were paying per day. Late checkin/early checkout also cuts into both days..
The house was well stocked. There is everything you need in the kitchen. There had been no deep cleaning for months we even found a pile of dirty clothes. When I informed the property manager she offered to send someone out. I said no because there was no where for us to go while they recleaned. Tannah did let me know that they had fired the house cleaner while we were there. I do not think that this is the norm for this property. The beds downstairs are great. The king upstairs is lumpy and super hard. We went to Durango we bought a topper. The gas fireplace kept the house warm and toasty. The town of Lake City is a great little town super friendly. The groceries are expensive in town so bring as much as you can. I would love to visit again in the summer. tannah was super helpful while we were there.
We had 9 of us at the house and rented the bunkhouse as well. It was a great place to accommodate us all. We had plenty of space, hung out, played games, and cooked. The bunkhouse was the perfect addition. My only request is to provide soap for the shower and tissues.
We loved our stay at the almost heaven cabin. Fully stocked kitchen, amazing views, excellent location lots of parking. I will be back to lake city and would pick the almost heaven cabin again.
We enjoyed our stay at the house. The open floor kitchen / living room facing toward the lake was nice, and we spent more than a few mornings just drinking coffee near the fireplace. Other mornings we just watched the sun hit the mountain tops from the master bedroom balcony. My wife also loved the large and very deep bathtub upstairs.
We were aware before renting it that a small water treatment area is on the other side of the road up to the house, but did not find that to be distracting. The treatment area is obscured with trees and we only noticed a smell sometimes when walking past the treatment area (and never inside the house).
This home is absolutely beautiful. The property is very well maintained and provides a beautiful view and is accessible to lake San Cristobal. A couple things to note, this house was not stocked with pantry essential compared to other property rentals I have stayed at in Lake City. In addition, I had a very hard time reaching and communicating with the property manager to pick up the keys and prepay, but after we were able to get to the house, the stay was wonderful.
Enjoyed our Stay at the Cabin. Will Likely Reserve on our next run to Lake City. Kitchen was just large enough to cook in, Dish Network TV for the evenings, Fire Pit, Nice Decks to enjoy the view.
