Everything was very nice at the Fall Colors Cabin. It was wonderful to be so close to town. We will keep this Cabin in mind for our future stays in Lake City.

The cabin is not fancy, but it is homey and welcoming and has a lovely view of Lake City. The owner is a pleasure to work with.

Family Retreat

Very Clean, best stocked with kitchen appliances we been to at short-term rental house. Owner was easy to communicate with, had no issue. minutes' walk to downtown of Lake City, Co and the bakery. Quiet retreat.

Wonderful location and views

This nice and neat house is in a good, quiet location on a hillside above Lake City. It's an easy place to get to and convenient to town. It was clean and everything was in working order. The views are wonderful. Our only suggestion to improving our stay would be an outdoor space in order to better appreciate the view. Something like an outside picnic table would be great!

Mountain Paradise!

This place was awesome! Well hidden in the trees, but close enough to walk to town. Beautiful view of the town below. The cabin had been redone and was well kept. There were 5 adults and 2 children and we had plenty of room for all of us. The owners notified us and kept us informed of helpful things to do. All of us said it was a 5 star place! We loved it!

Labor Day on Golden Road

Generally speaking it was as advertised. It is the season for mice to try to come in and we did have some. I took one outside myself. The owners did apologize and vowed to take care of the problem. I would recommend the space.

Excellent stay

This was probably the best stocked cabin we've rented as far as items in the kitchen and bathroom. The layout of the cabin was roomey for 4 adults and 2 kids. The front porch was nice. Since you're elevated on a hill over other cabins in the area coupled with a longer driveway, you feel more secluded and private than you are. It was a little tricky backing two trailers and two vehicles in but we made it work. The single car garage was nice for a side by side to stay dry during rain showers. The only thing we might like to see changed was updating the furniture in the living room. We've been to Lake City 4 times and my in laws 6 and this has been our favorite cabin so far.

We're always happy to hear such glowing reviews from our recent guests. Every year we try to focus on special things that will make a stay in our home comfortable and relaxing. This summer it was a new refrigerator! Not as exciting as a new couch, but certainly a necessity. We will always work to make our home as inviting and comfortable as possible. We work hard to gain loyal returning guests year after year.

So glad we selected this cabin!

On the outside the home looks a little rough, but inside it's very nice! The kitchen is large w/ granite countertops, and there are 2 eating areas-table that seats 4 and a breakfast bar w/ 4 stools. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. The ensuite bathroom is large, washer & dryer included. Both bathrooms have granite countertops. The view from the large porch is beautiful! It is very close to town in a quiet neighborhood. Parking can be a challenge if you have large vehicles. We couldn't get the cable TV to work-the owner offered to help us figure it out, but we were fine w/o it. The owners were easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Lake City.

In spite of the fires looming over us the entire time, we had a wonderful stay at Golden Road! It's a really spacious place with a great floor plan - 2 bedrooms on one side and 1 on the other - with the living area and kitchen in the center. Plenty of room for one family or possible 2. The kitchen is the best appointed I've been in as a rental - so appreciated! And we loved being able to use the washer and dryer since LC doesn't have a laundromat anymore. Also loved the long porch and the view of town and the mountains from the porch swing. :) Just a quick walk down to the grocery store or bakery. Loved it and will definitely come again if we have the chance. Highly recommend!

The owners were available for any questions which was amazing. The house was beautiful and fully stocked with dishes and cookware. One week is not long enough we will be back.

Comfortable Convenience to the Mountains, Gandalf!

We enjoyed staying at On Golden Road very much. The Kuders were very informative and kept us up to date on everything we needed to know. We hiked Mountains three days out of the seven and rested very well in the house. Handies, Redcloud & Sunshine are available down one road and Uncompahgre was down another road. The kitchen was great for preparing our morning and evening meals and preparing for lunch on the trail. The dining table doubles as a fun gaming table. If you need an afternoon nap, there are plenty of options! The location is nestled in the middle of a nice set of homes and the view from the front porch and dining area is lovely. We enjoyed downtown Lake City one day and drove to Ouray and Telluride on another day. While it may take a little longer to get to Lake City, it was a good week in the Kuders' house.

Very nice but with room for improvement

The cabin was very clean and hospitable. I would advise replacing the mattresses and pillows on both beds due to being aged and very uncomfortable. The refrigerator was off when we arrived and took approximately two days for the items we placed in it to cool down. The air conditioner couldn't keep up with the size of the cabin and thus didnt cool during the day. On a positive note, the location was perfect for our group who were there to ride side x sides on the Alpine Loop.

Our home away from home

We feel like the Kuders are family- they have such a beautiful home and it is our privilege to be their guests. The home is well appointed with an updated kitchen (we love to cook on vacation) and the best view in town. This home allows our family to.reconnect and revive.
