Grande maison de deux étages et sept chambres située à deux lots de la plage sur une impasse calme offrant une belle vue sur l'océan depuis plusieurs ponts et vérandas. Le salon au deuxième étage comprend de beaux planchers en bois et des meubles mis à jour, une cuisine gastronomique avec des appareils en acier inoxydable (y compris une machine à glace commerciale). Deux porches grillagés ont été ajoutés à la propriété, l'un au deuxième étage et l'autre au niveau du toit, offrant tous deux une vue sur l'océan. Le premier étage offre un grand salon avec un billard et une télévision. Internet sans fil. Draps inclus. L'accès au garage n'est PAS disponible.

Just what we needed.

The house was just what we needed during our COVID vacation. It was very spacious and accompanied our group well. I loved all the screened in porches especially the top deck. We loved how close we were to the beach. My only negative would be the house could have used a little TLC in some areas. It was very clean though.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house size was good for our large group, but really needs some updating. It has a tired and weary look to it, and a bucket or two of paint on door frames, stairways, etc. would be an inexpensive positive addition. Downstairs dehumidifier doesn't cut off when full and overflowed. House could use a solid full cleaning as well--sand on floor when we first got there, dirt here and there. Keep up with the house a bit more and it will show much better.

Good location, lots of bedrooms.

This house is getting run-down, but is still a good value. The icemaker is broken, and two cabinet drawers are non-functional. Over-all, it is comfortable and spacious, and very good for our family reunions. When we arrived, cleaning had not been competed. We offered to make up the two king beds ourselves, and waited for sheets to be delivered. One package did not have king sheets. It was difficult to get a proper person to solve our problem, but eventually king sheets were delivered late evening.

Great Layout

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house layout was perfect for our group of adults and children. Although we had several issues during our stay:1. Septic pump failed and backed up in the basement bathroom. Maintenance came out and reset the breaker.2. Upper screened porch had no power the entire stay. Were told electrician would come out but apparently they could not repair the issue.3. Several lights were not working, could be simply bulbs were burned out.Overall have a very enjoyable stay. House needs some updating and general TLC. House is situated within short walk of the beach.Would stay again and recommend to others.

Ring Ceremony at the Citadel

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this property with two families attending cadets ring ceremony at the Citadel. The house was spacious enough to accommodate the twelve people staying there as well as a few more day guests. We really enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the open floor plan as well as the pool table downstairs. The house was however very hot. The air conditioning upstairs was by far not powerful enough to get the house to a comfortable temperature. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to contact Island realty until day four of our five day stay, at which time they provided four window AC’s to put in the bedroom windows. That made for better sleeping our last night but the living areas were still uncomfortably got. The property is a little dated but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Helpful people, tired property

Reviewer Comments: The location is amazing, the house isn't!The house is showing its age and the owners need to step up and address a long list of nagging issues. The management company did what they could, but much of what bothered us was age related and not something that maintenance could address.There was water leaking from a master shower stall into the basement stairwell, not nice but things happen.My bigger complaint has to do with the overall condition of the property. The cabinets are tired, the silverware drawer bottom falls out when you open it past a certain point. The dishwasher upper rack falls of the track easily. However the dishwasher didn't work so we didn't have to worry about the rack issue.

Would have been great, but homeowners refuse to fix the A/C

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family looks so forward to this trip every year, but this year we left with a bad taste in our mouth. The house was great in terms of size, location, layout, etc. But the A/C is not sufficient for this house. It would not get below 85 degrees at night. We had toddlers with us, and no one could sleep in that. We called the repairman out, and he said that he gets called to this property all of the time. He said the problem is the units are on the fritz. They are cooling all they can (which is hardly any), and the homeowners refuse to replace the units. Island Realty knows about this problem, and ethically speaking, they should refuse to continue to rent/manage this house (only bright spot at Island Realty is Michelle who tried her best to help us with portable units). We are very upset about this. We spent a lot of money on this house, and it did not feel like a vacation at all. The house was hot during the day, super hot at night, and no one slept. We should receive some of our money back at the very least. I would not recommend this house to anyone until this problem is fixed.

Reviewer Comments: It was a great house with plenty of sleeping space, very nice kitchen (we did most of the meals on-site), and plenty of great meeting spaces, especially the porches. Maintenance was very quick in clearing a clogged A/C condensate drain. Would recommend maintenance on lighting over stove and lighting in stairwell to top deck - no lighting working which was a bit dicy. Would recommend getting a landscape co. to handle the virginia creeper and other vines that are strangling a good portion of the landscaping.

The kitchen was great and the large den was very nice. There were some issues but they were taken care of quickly. The staff worked tirelessly the day of arrival getting it ready for our arrival.

Many cupboards, towel bars, window treatments, ceilings, doors etc were broken or showing signs of water damage, decay and just age. The basement also smelled of mildew. However, the house had many good features too. The floor plan is excellent. There were numerous screened in porches that were delightful and the location was perfect. We had a large family group and were not fearful of hurting anything with the smaller kids which was a plus. This is a great house but I fear that if repairs are not made it will get to a point that major renovations will need to be made vs repairs. That all being said, we did enjoy the house and it definitely met our needs.
