Nephew’s 21st birthday

My daughter,sister , brother. -his wife and my nephew came to LA to celebrate my nephew’s 21st birthday. We visited Disney, Universal Studios and many iconic places in Hollywood. What a beautiful home in Hollywood Hills. Classic. Humming birds galore and fresh mint for our water. Rosemary, sage, lavender, grapefruit and organes in the yard. Beautiful place to make some memories.

Perfect Staycation / Bday

Got to celebrate a milestone birthday with my closest friends visiting from all over and wanted to find a cozy and private getaway in LA. This place was great and just what we needed. Erin was super responsive, the house had great charm, was private and close to fun things in HollywoodDef recommend for anyone looking for something in LA

Beautiful historic house!

House was very clean, comfy beds, and got an awesome fireworks show right from the balcony. Host was very responsive and enjoyed our stay!

Stunning home and so close to Hollywood Bowl

This home is so beautiful and charming with an abundance of space. A bathroom for every bedroom, two living room areas, updated kitchen... perfect for our group. The walk to the Hollywood Bowl couldn't have been more convenient as long as you can handle stairs (don't look at maps). I wish we could have stayed longer. Simply stunning.The only minor trouble we had was that VRBO didn't send check-in or check-out instructions; but when I reached out to Erin directly she was very responsive. Also, there is quite a bit of road noise outside due to its proximity to the highway; however, it was very quiet inside. More than worth that tradeoff for everything else that is amazing about this home. I hope we have reason to go back to LA just so I can stay here again:)

Thanksgiving in Lovely Historical Home

My family gathered here for 4 nights during Thanksgiving week. The host was so kind as to answer all of my questions about kitchen supplies beforehand so that I would know what I did & didn't need to bring along. We shopped at Gelson's gourmet market which is about a mile away. Using the antique stove was fun & there is plenty of counter space. The home is lovely & well represented by the listing photos. Bedrooms were comfortable & spacious. We really enjoyed the view & sunsets, both through the large window & from the balcony. The neighborhood is fun to walk (hilly) and check out the unique homes. You can walk to Hollywood Bowl & look around if there is no event happening. My only caution would be for people who have mobility considerations. There is no bathroom on main/entry floor which has living room, kitchen & balcony. All 3 bedrooms & en-suite bathrooms are downstairs. From street to front door, 3-4 steps down & up with no railing. To access backyard, from entry corridor there is an uneven set of rocky stairs with no railing, or access through a bedroom to even concrete steps on far side of house (but I think no railing there either). Being above a freeway & a major road does create a constant hum of traffic noise - not so much inside the house but definitely noticeable on balcony & in yard. Street parking was $4/day. We never had a problem finding a near parking spot. For us, one star off for mobility issues & traffic noise but these things won't concern everyone.

This neighborhood was orWhitley Heights is a residential neighborhood and historic preservation overlay zone in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Central Los Angeles, California. Known as a residential area for actors and other people in the motion-picture industry, it is divided between a hillside single-family district and an apartment area. Hobart J. Whitley bought the hillside area in 1901 and 1903, and hired architect Arthur Barnes to build houses in a Mediterranean style he thought would suit Southern California's climate. Silent screen stars gravitated to this secluded hillside setting and its easy commute to RKO Pictures, Paramount, Warner Brothers, and Chaplin Studios. Early residents included Rudolph Valentino, Charlie Chaplin, Gloria Swanson, Bette Davis, Barbara Stanwyck, W.C. Fields, William Faulkner, James Hilton, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and more. The serene neighborhood on a hill is walking distance to Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Bowl, Capital Records, Hollywood Heritage Museum, The Ford, the Hollywood Reservoir, TCL Chinese Theater, Magic Castle, Musso & Frank Grill, and more.
