The condo was rented & cleaned before we arrived Friday, yet the air conditioner was turned off so the place was HOT. We were sweating just taking the suitcases & bags out of the big blue bin. It took hours to cool off. No cold running water in kitchen. It was shut off due to a leak underneath. And they claimed they didn't know. The living room blinds didn't close and were missing vanes. Went to sit in a chair at the dining table and almost fell on floor. All the chairs were wobbly. The toilet was slow to flush, we lifted lid off tank to find it was pitch black. Never cleaned I guess since 1973 when building went up. Called the property manager, told the maintenance man went home as it was 5pm. He came out next day, very nice, determined a plumber needed to come out to fix the sink, he put in some missing vanes but some catches were broke, couldn't fix chairs that already had several screws in them from trying to fix before. The plumber came out Monday & fixed the sink but did nothing for the toilet. The icemaker in the freezer wasn't connected to the water, couldn't make ice but it made a noise like a dryer buzzing at end of cycle every 5-10 mins. Slept with ear plugs. There were no bowls for cereal (only pudding) and anything we cooked in the frying pans stuck no matter using butter or spray. The beds were comfortable and the place got cold, the pool and beach were great. We have no idea why this place is allowed to be rented.
A bit dated, small tv, beds were not comfy but doable. Needed more pots and pans with lids. The location and view are fantastic. Nice pool.. nNeeds more seating.
Perfect for my needs since it was only me staying there. I usually try and find a place in the same building as the rest of the family.
Could use some furniture, at least a chair and table on the bayside balcony.
Over all we had a nice time in OC, but our condo was not so great. We had to have the hot water tank repaired, our balcony was held together with ratchet straps(not safe I have two small kids), everything in our room was so out dated/broken and uncomfortable. We definitely will go back to OC, but not to the same condo! (Other rooms we saw were nice and up to date)
We had a wonderful vacation and stay at this condo. The people at Holiday were extremely nice and helpful. I thought the price was perfect and the size of the condo was great for my family (3 Adults/1 child). I'd like to stay there again!!!
Really enjoyed the ocean view. Did not enjoy the condition of the condo. Here are the issues we encountered.
1. open the vertical blinds and 3 slats fell out.
2. made the bed and found a handful of french fries on the floor just under the bed.
3. all the vents were filthy dirty. the vent in the living room (along with the ceiling) was
black from what looked like smoke damage.
4. The refrigerator has rust on the door. (but it did work)
5. The bathroom had a toilet brush that was rust covered with paper stuck to it.
6. The bathroom wall boards were dirty & the bathroom cabinet was water damaged.
7. The bathroom title floor reminded me of the new bathroom floor when my family
moved into our new house in 1962.
8. The kitchen sink was not draining properly at first and the garbage disposal was not
working. Found a handful of plastic stuck inside the garbage disposal. Removed it
and fixed the non functioning disposal and the draining issue.
In general this unit was utilitarian and functional but extremely old and in poor condition. Too bad. But the view was spectacular.
The best part of the room was the amazing view of the ocean. During the night the wind picked up and the windows whistled, but that may be normal. We heard a pipe knocking within the kitchen walls. Possibly upstairs neighbor flushing toilet. All in all nice room, clean and orderly.
Also we were not to happy about the parking fees for the condominium complex. 40.00$ for each car. Hmmmm. But after Sept 30th no fees.
Excellent view of the ocean and of the bay. Oceanside balcony furniture was nice. The bayside balcony isn't attached to the condo, it's a separate area but still nice. Pretty old furniture, but not too bad comfort wise. Dishes, silverware, utensils and coffee maker are there and there's a Food Lion across the street for groceries.
Didn't go to the pool. But it looked nice, and there's a grill outside which I'm sure you're allowed to use.
Check in and check out was easy.
Reasonable rate, would stay again.
Only 'bad' thing is the front door is hard to unlock.
Spacious and clean condo in desperate need of an upgrade!
The location, pool, and beach were great! The building parking fee was $40 (cash only) upon arrival, no matter if you were staying 3 nights or 1 week đ. The condo had very old furniture (all except the balcony chairs and table) which creaked and wobbled like it was going to fall apart at any time. There was wifi advertised, but th owner didn't keep up with the notices that the building switched over to xfinity and had to upgrade their own wifi access so we were left with none. Had to pay extra for our cell wifi access. Overall experience here was not positive for the amount we paid. You can charge average rates if your not an average condo! BTW, the couch mattress was one of the best I've slept onđ!
THIS IS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR YOUR FIRST SOLO VACAY! The location and building are AMAZING!!! The unit itself is dope AF, love the layout, pretty old kitchen but its nice, amazing living room, AWESOME BALCONY!!! bathroom was very ordinary with white small tile floor and plain wall, shower works great tho. You gotta hold the toilet to flush Just so you know. bedroom is great for what it is, cozy. I slept on the squeakiest bed on the planet, lmao. Entrance hall gets dark too, just a heads up if you're afraid of the dark, lol. REALLY wish I coulda stayed there longer but couldn't afford to, o well. 5 OUT OF 5 STARS!!!!!
