Wonderful place to stay in Bend! Walking distance to a couple nice parks on the river. Comfortable beds and plenty of space. The video game machine was a hit with our kids!

Amazing property!!

I can’t say enough good things about this place! Excellent location, right off the river and walking distance to restaurants, bars, parks etc. The house was cozy and the beds were sooo comfortable! Best vacation rental that we’ve stayed in a long time! The owner was responsive and friendly also. Highly recommend!!!

After reviewing the property and price, we were taken to a separate external payment site where two additional taxes and a cleaning fee were added to the price of the booking. Since Vrbo said all taxes and fees were included, we looked up why two additional taxes, Vrbo said they werent technically theirs but the city of Bend and the state of Oregon. And the cleaning fee seemed to be a deposit because the host asked us to strip the beds, get all the dirty towels and do the laundry, wash the dishes, empty the trash and recycling, and left a vacuum out with instructions not to wear shoes in the house (so of course we vacuumed). So the great location and affordable price ended up being more than twice the price with a cleaning fee and taxes and we still had to clean. And the heating was terrible, either lava or freezing with multiple devices with confusing/not well working controls. Oh, and dont plug in your own devices, thats not recommended.Not worth it.

For clarity, the checkout items (such as starting a load of laundry or the dishwasher) are explicitly stated as optional and are simply intended to help our cleaning team—they are not required and do not replace the professional cleaning included in the cleaning fee. Regarding pricing, all taxes and platform fees are set and displayed by Vrbo at checkout and are not controlled by hosts, though I understand how unexpected fees can be frustrating. Heating and cooling are fully available and adjustable for normal use, and we haven’t received similar feedback from other guests, but we’re always happy to help in real time if anything feels off during a stay. The note regarding electrical usage is simply intended to avoid overloading circuits, which is a common guideline in homes and does not restrict normal use. During your stay, our communication was very positive, including a message on your last day that you had “a great stay,” so I’m sorry to hear that your overall experience ultimately fell short of expectations. Wishing you all the best.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Bend Cutie! The host was very responsive and attentive, and the house was clean and comfortable. While the space is a bit smaller, it fit our needs perfectly for the weekend. The location was beautiful and convenient, just a short walk to the Hayden Homes Amphitheater. Would definitely recommend!
