We are sorry that you encountered several inconveniences during your stay. We do, however, want to clarify a few details for the benefit of future guests. When the flooring concerns were brought to our attention, we offered to send our cleaning team back to address the issue, but that offer was declined. We certainly would have welcomed the opportunity to correct the problem for you. Regarding the air conditioning on the top floor, the issue occurred over the weekend, and unfortunately, technician availability was limited until Monday, when the repair was completed. We understand this was inconvenient and appreciate your patience. We were a little surprised to see the fire alarm described as beeping for two days, as when we checked in with you the following morning after your arrival, we were told that it had stopped. When the issue resurfaced, we arranged for maintenance to address it as quickly as possible. We also contacted the internet provider promptly regarding the Wi-Fi concern and shared their direct contact information to help expedite service, as we suggest to all of our guests. Troubleshooting options were even offered. When the issue persisted, we continued working toward a resolution, with full service back on Monday morning. We'd also like to clarify that maintenance visits were arranged as soon as possible after concerns were reported. We were not given any scheduling restrictions or advised that maintenance should not enter while your group was away. Our intention was simply to get everything taken care of as quickly as possible, so you could enjoy your vacation without further inconvenience. The microwave was replaced within a couple of hours of being reported. While we understand that having to deal with maintenance concerns is not how anyone wants to spend a vacation, our team worked to address each issue as quickly as circumstances allowed. As for shampoo and personal shower toiletries, these are not listed among the amenities we provide, but we appreciate the opportunity to clarify that for future guests. We certainly don't expect everything to go perfectly during every stay, but we do expect to be given the opportunity to make things right, and we make every effort to do so. We are sorry that your stay included these inconveniences, but are happy to hear that you ultimately enjoyed the home and your time on Hatteras Island!
