Peace and quiet on all sports Matteson Lake. Enjoy your time at our lakeside retreat. Whether it's some family time you are looking for or some time away with friends, this is the cottage for you. This two bedroom, one bath has sleeping for 8! This home is situated on spring fed, all sports Matteson Lake. Our property has the advantage of a shallow entrance for swimming for all ages. We offer free high speed internet, 2 kayaks, and a 4 person paddle boat! Whether you want to swim, boat, fish, or relax around the fire pit, this home has many options. There are smart tv's in the bedrooms, along with one in the living room. The kitchen features a self cleaning oven and a dishwasher. There is a smart lock for easy access and personalized security. We have a washer and dryer in the unit, along with 2 window air conditioners. We offer travel size shampoo and soap. Smoking is allowed outdoors. The parking on this lot is 15' x 32' at the smallest point. It can fit 2 small vehicles or one truck or large SUV. The smart TV's have limited over-the-air stations, but the tv's are programmed to reset after every guest, allowing you to log into your own streaming services or Tubi, Freevee, etc. are available and free. There are no cable stations offered. The outdoor area has its private dock and swimming area. Two kayaks and a four person paddle-boat, along with life- jackets are provided.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was exactly as described. Our family was looking for a spot on the water so the kids could fish and kayak and it did not disappoint!
We had a wonderful stay at Stargazer. It is a comfortable house with a well supplied kitchen. There is a dishwasher. The coffee maker is a flexbrew, so bring your favorite pods (I recommend Maxwell House - seriously, just try it!) or ground coffee for a whole pot. The beds are firm and supportive, perfect in my opinion - and not memory foam, thankfully! We didn't try the pullouts in the couches, but the couches are comfy. The living room is a great size for visiting with plenty of seating. Outside, we enjoyed the paddle boat, kayaks, and fire pit. Matteson lake is quiet and peaceful.
Because I am disabled, I want to highlight accessibility. I use a walker and sometimes a wheelchair. The newly finished sidewalk and parking were very nice and made it easier to get in and out of the house. There is one step up into the kitchen and one step down to the living room. I asked about this ahead of time - one step is doable for me. There are hard floors throughout the house with easy transitions. In the bedroom, we moved the bed to the wall to make room for my walker. The door to the bedroom is narrow, but my walker collapses vertically to get through smaller doorways (a smaller aluminum walker would fit). The bathroom is too small for my rollator walker, but the sink (and long arms) made a good hand hold, so that was not an issue. I travel with a shower chair and an aluminum walker. These items make almost any shower handicap accessible. This shower has a lower shower pan which was
