Nature lovers unite! Laid Back Vibe. Enjoy paddle-boarding down the tranquil saltwater creek viewing Osprey & Swans. The sunsets are Spectacular! Sip your fave drink on the screened porch, tour the neighborhood on bikes, & canoe down the saltwater creek. Just a short car ride to the beach. There are great restaurants & bars in the area as well. Quiet neighborhood with no loud parties. Pets are welcome too! We do not allow crabbing or fishing on the property although there are many close by spots to enjoy these activities. The apartment is underneath the owner occupied main home & has a private entrance. We give our guests privacy but are also available when you need us. The space is complete with fresh towels, linens, toiletries, and snacks. There is a full kitchen as well as a grill. Open the glass door to a wonderful large screened porch to read, nap, enjoy a cup,or eat outdoors while observing the tranquil surroundings. The backyard faces the beautiful National Edwin B. Forsythe Nature Refuge. A true gem!

My 15 yo son and I, as well as my dogs, had a wonderful stay! Beautiful location and quiet. Our hosts were wonderful. Got to do some paddling in the marsh in the wildlife refuge and saw lots of different birds, turtles, and otters. The swans have such personality! Would definitely stay here again!

Great little getaway!

We had a great time on our stay! Located just far enough from the cities to be quiet and peaceful, yet not so far that it’s difficult to do a short stay. Hosts were perfect, and helped us out in all ways. Highly reccomended, and make sure you do a trip through the waterways off the dock, using the free paddle boards!

Property is beautiful, and amazingly clean. The owner is amazing, and incredibly helpful. Was a lovely, restful trip to the shore.

Had a wonderful stay at the house. Thoughtful touches to make our stay comfortable. Wendy left us plenty of coffee pods and I enjoyed the morning coffee on the enclosed patio. Location is about 1:2 hour from beach. We stopped each morning at Big Apple bakery for fresh rolls and pastries.

Quiet water retreat

The property is located on a very quiet street on a peaceful creek. Sitting by the creek in the AM with coffee and reading a book was my favorite thing to do. The rental is equipped with all that you need, even beach chairs to take to your beach destination. We would definitely book again!

Peaceful

This property was exactly as the pictures showed. The owner was a sweet and friendly woman and was very accommodating to our needs. We very much enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again in the future.

We had a great time staying at Wendy’s bungalow. She was always very responsive to any question we had. She left a ton of snacks which the kids loved and also left Cheerios for the kids to feed the swans with. Unfortunately, we had to cut out trip short since my daughter got sick but overall we had a great time.

Great short stay

We stayed here for two nights when we had to be out of our home for construction. Wendy was great and made sure we had everything we needed. The weather was freezing and windy, so we didn’t get to take advantage of the property but it’s a lovely location! It was a great alternative for us to staying with family or in a hotel. The unit was adorable and cozy and we had a very nice stay!

Cozy and quiet!

Wendy was a fantastic host, her communication was great. This place is in a perfect location, cozy, quiet and clean with a beautiful view. She even adds drinks and snacks and other little things which is so thoughtful. I cannot wait to return in the summer. Highly recommend!

Cute apartment, not fancy but very cozy and easy to stay at. Great communication and lovely host. The view and access to the water was stellar. On a marsh in a nature reserve and there were no bugs. Nice private outdoor area and screened in porch with paddle boards and a canoe. Easy access to LBI. Very comfortable bed and huge bathroom with good water pressure. It can fit 3 or 4 but 2 is best.

Couples getaway

We had a wonderful time at this getaway location. Wendy our host was great. This place is so very peaceful and beautiful. Our weather was not that great and it did not dampen our time. We will do again for sure.. It a paradise retreat with plenty of bird watching and swan swimming.

June travel

10 days to visit family, needed a place close to both of my sons, this place met my needs. Close to Rte 9, 72 and Pkwy. Very quaint place with lots of wildlife to entertain you day and night. I have another week booked in August.

Fam visit

This is my second stay with Wendy and she’s really great and quick to meet your needs. The place was a great location for me kinda halfway between where both of my son’s live. Nice hangout when their family came over for a few hours. Easy access to both Rt9 and the GSP!

Respite at the Wetlands

This is a nicely located property facing part of the NJ Wetlands near the Edwin B. Forsyth Wildlife Refuge. My husband and I fell in love with the screened in porch overlooking a creek towards the grasslands of south/central Jersey coast. We enjoyed the location so much for its peacefulness and the lovely amenities like a well-stocked kitchen, very comfortable bed, outdoor couch great for lounging on the porch. We hope to make it back when it is cooler to take advantage of kayaking and canoeing in the area.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We chose this neighborhood because it is not a party town. Its quiet and serene with beautiful sunsets and wildlife. Its close to a main town of Manahawkin where shopping is. We are just 12 minutes to the beaches of LBI. Finally, our quaint town has a 'back in time feel' like old time California. There are farm markets and open space.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We are located right in the middle of the National Edwin B. Forsythe Nature Preserve . Please no hunting, fishing or crabbing on our property. Swimming and water sports is at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty here.
