Jacob, sorry about the dog hair on the blankets. We are dog friendly and always try to make sure this isn’t an issue. This is our first complaint for this. I do wish you reached out to me on dish towels. We should have had several in the island drawer. I would have had our cleaning service come by if that wasn’t the case.

Our summer home which has been in the family for 63 years, has always been tagged as a camp house as is the case for many of the traditional summer homes around the lake. Regarding the water situation, yes we pump from Lake Dunmore similar to most homes directly on the lake. Lake Dunmore is mainly a spring feed lake along with being fed by a mountain stream. It is very clean and the water line does go through 3 filters. We have looked into a well, but with our property being right on the water makes this difficult with the water table. At some point we will look at putting a well in, but likely somewhat risking and costly with the mountain right behind us. Honestly this is the first time someone has brought this up as a concern. We also have a water cooler in the kitchen and supply the water. Regarding linens and towels. We normally do provide them. With Covid 19 and following guidelines with VRBO and the state of Vermont, we felt it was best if renters brought their own. Our renters last year actually felt more comfortable with this and we focused on sanitizing in between renters. As Covid restrictions are relaxed this year, we should begin providing this service. Also it should be noted that with the extended state and federal unemployment payments, we haven't been able to find a local cleaning service. My wife and I have been travelling from out of state to clean in between renters.
