My studio condo is located in the perfect location on the ground level walk out from the patio directly to the pool and BBQs for poolside dinning and right across the street to a beautiful white sand swimming beach Kamaole Beach II. It is one of the only studio units in the whole complex that has its own washer/dryer.

Host was very welcoming and good communication. Room is dated but cozy with a grear location! Hot water and wifi were hit and miss and the bathroom sink plug needs to be fixed we had to keep it open with a knife so it would drain. We enjoyed out stay

Wonderful location and very much enjoyed the air conditioning and washer/dryer in the room! Parking was very easy to find and we had no issues! It is a small space but for two people there was no problems. Also really enjoyed the fridge and microwave for our leftover food. The space had everything we needed for our week in Maui! Would definitely stay again!

Great place at a great price.

The set up was very similar to a hotel room. Being at the front of the property made for great access to walk across the street to the beach or on down the road for libations. Also very close to the pool. I personally found the bed to be hard and the pillows flat but my friend had no complaints. I do wish the outdoor furniture was more comfortable to enjoy. Overall it was perfectly fine and i would stay here again! Aloha!

Exactly what we were looking for

This place was exactly the right price and the right location. the access to the property and parking was super easy and it was directly across from the beach! what more could you ask for when visiting Maui? it was so nice to have a little kitchenette and the washer/dryer in the unit. if i HAD to give any feedback at all it was that the bathroom was lacking any air circulation. I think the fan was broken? resulted in a sewer smell sometimes. However, not something that ruined our experience at all and I would absolutely stay here again!

Wanted to let future potential guests know that we have replaced the bathroom fan which was a building wide fan with insufficient circulation to a new, much stronger fan that turns on when the bathroom light is turned on. Has almost everything needed

A safe, clean place to sleep comfortably at night was all we needed for our 10day trip in Maui to go well. If you plan to sleep don’t book til the bed is replaced, and don’t book for a honeymoon. The ultra sheer curtains reveal all and the world’s most unsupportive bed will give your chiro nightmares while warding off any hope of Maui-inspired romance. The AC has a sign on it saying 72F is the lowest you can go so it remains humid and hot in the room. Hopefully the bed, curtains and window AC get upgraded. Aside from the inability to sleep, most everything else about the site is great, including location, accessibility, and you do feel safe in the area. There is ample parking and is easy to find. Regarding price, the nightly fee is excessive for such a small room, unfortunately this is typical.

Aloha, to all future guests. Please be aware that there are black out curtains behind the sheer curtains for privacy. The sheer curtains at for for daytime privacy but still allow light into the unit. The AC is a 13,000 BTU unit and should provide adequate cooling for the small small that this studio unit. The bed has a mattress topper on it and it does make the bed quite soft. Many guests have commented on how comfortable it was. For those looking for a firmer bed mattress topper can be removed and can be stored under the bed if needed. If you have a bed firmness preference be sure to let me know prior to your arrival and I would be happy to accommodate your request. Thank you, Steve Farwig

Location, Location, Location

This is our second stay at the Maui Banyan, and I can't say enough about the convenience of the property - a very short walk to the beach, and extremely close to restaurants and other services. This particular unit has been nicely updated, and especially appreciated is the well stocked kitchenette and washer/dryer, a definite upgrade for a studio condo unit. The TV/cable package is top notch, and the unit is just steps away from the lovely pool area. We would definitely recommend this unit and its responsive owner. Thank you Steve!

Perfect for two!

My husband and I stayed here for 10 days while on our honeymoon. It was perfect for what we needed! Close to shops, restaurants and beaches and only steps from the pool and BBQ area. The property owners were very responsive when the wifi was down and the check in process was flawless! Highly recommend this property for two people.

Size and location

Very sweet studio that has plenty of room and all the supplies needed. Kitchen and towels well stocked. Really loved having a washer/dryer in the unit. Barely a block to beach and restaurants. Only thing is the bed was a little too soft for me. Thank you!

Ok, but not great

1) The wardrobe cabinet is too short inside. I could not hang dress shirt in there without the bottom 4-6" folding and getting wrinkled. I don't know how a woman would hang a dress in there. 2) Went to iron my shirt and there was no water in Iron and no distilled water that I could find. 3) They should tell people to unplug router before they leave then plug it back in when you get back because if you don't you'll have to do it anyway. I realize internet service in Hawaii is crappy(per my 2 friends that live on Maui).

Great location and amenities.

This was our second time staying at the Maui Banyan and we love the location. The pools and hot tubs are great. The BBQ areas by the pools are ideal for cooking meals and the covered eating areas are great as well. Our only complaint about our unit was the air conditioner. It was extremely noisy and the fact that it was not to be used at less than 72 degrees meant that our room was warmer than we would like for sleeping. The access to the outside at ground level was also ideal.

Aloha and happy to hear you had a nice stay in our condo. The A/C unit in the condo was just installed. It is only 2 month old. The reason for the temperature request at 72 degrees is because we have found that some guests set the A/C very low and do not turn it off 24/7. As a result the units don't ever have time to cycle off and they tend to freeze and not work well. Living on Maui we find a temperature around 75 to be very comfortable at night, so that is why we suggest setting the temp no lower than 72 degrees. You can lower it if you like but just make sure to turn it off when you are gone for the day that way the unit will work well when you are in the condo. The A/C also has many different settings. You can set the fan on low so that it is more quiet. Hope this helps explain how to use the A/C. My wife and I live five minutes from the property so if you need anything we are here to help make your stay better in anyway.

Central Location Near Beaches

My girlfriend and I had a great time spending 3 nights in this unit! The space, while not enormous, is more than adequate for a couple. There’s a pool in the condo complex, and the building is right across the street from a beach. It’s in a very central location in Kihei, so it’s easy to walking distance to a variety of beaches in Kihei and a short drive to Wailea and Makena. We would stay again.

Cute cozy condo

We knew it was a smaller unit, more like a hotel room. That didn't bother us. We found the AC unit to be extremely effective by adjusting the settings, taking it off auto and eco modes to get continuous AC. Works really good if you know what you're doing. The patio was nice in the morning drinking our coffee. Having laundry in the unit was a freaking dream. Loved that. I echo a previous review concerning a musty smell in the bathroom. There is no way to turn on the fan if it even works. In my opinion it smells like the shower drain isn't properly vented and it stinks in a weird way. Since the fan doesn't work there seems to be evidence of mold on the ceiling. I'd love to stay there in the future or wholeheartedly recommend as long as that issue is resolved. Honestly that's the only down side. For this reason I gave less stars on cleanliness and only 4 stars overall. It really is a beautiful condo and is in a great location with clean, secure grounds.

Just wanted to let future guests know that we have installed a new bathroom fan that turns on automatically with the light switch (previous fan was insufficient as it serviced the entire building - not just our unit). We plumbed the shower drain and also cleaned the ceiling and bathroom walls with bleach to remove any potential mold - we take guests comments very seriously and we take pride in the cleanliness of our condos. I lived on Maui for 30 years. Both my children were born and raised there and I bought this condo in 2012. I started on VRBO in 1998 with my first vacation rental condo. I later bought at the Maui Banyan for its great location. I was a firefighter for Maui County for 20 years and retired in 2021. Please feel free to ask any questions about the island if you need assistance with anything. I am an avid water sports enthusiast and (windsurfing, wing foiling) and I love to snow ski.

Maui Banyan is located directly across from Kamaole Beach II a beautiful white sand swimming beach and walking distance to many nice restaurants and shopping. You can drive to seven more great beaches in 5 minutes or less.

The walk out location to the pool, hot tub and BBQs are a real plus but especially only a few minutes to get to the beach walking. You don't have to drive a car to get to a great beach.
