The cabin is perfect for those looking for a quiet & cozy mountain getaway. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin has a fireplace and pullout (queen size) sofa in the main living room as well as an upstairs loft area that has a pullout (queen size) sofa. You can relax in the rocking chairs or swing on the front porch. The back porch has a grill for you to enjoy a picnic on the deck. Cabin has AC, free Wifi & a television.
When you are not relaxing in the cabin you are approximately 6 miles to downtown Banner Elk where you can enjoy restaurants, ice cream & shopping. There are also several walking trails nearby.
For those visiting during the winter months the cabin is approximately 11 miles from Beech Mountain Ski Resort & 10 miles from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort.
Immaculate log cabin with comfortable beds set back off a quiet road. Easy access to the Village of Banner Elk & delicious Italian food at Sorrentoâs and to the fun Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster (get the bundle!) Would definitely come back to stay!
Great cabin, very comfy! Serene wooded area, the cabin is in total shade, itâs very quiet there. Sounds of nature and thatâs it. There are two neighbors fairly close but other than when they were coming and going, you could t hear them. Our stay was excellent and extremely relaxing. We slept great, beds are comfortable and the cabin is well equipped!
Great kitchen, extremely well stocked. Everything was tidy and clean. Excellent grill (pork tenderloin and mushroom burgers). It is private and tucked away in beautiful woods. If we returned to the area we would definitely stay they
Quiet, clean, secluded cabin with woodsy surroundings
Everything about my experience was pretty good except for how late the check-in key box code was sent. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and although does not have dramatic mountain views like some in the area, has nice woodsy surroundings and you're not paying the price for those wide open mountain views. I had a really nice stay. My ONLY complaint is that there is ZERO cell reception out there, and the keybox code for check-in was not sent to me until 3:45 PM, when check in was at 4. I arrived at 3:30, admittedly early, but had to drive back down the hill to find an area with cell service and wait for the code to show up. It would have been a lot more convenient if the code could have been sent the day prior, or possibly by noon the day of check-in. Outside of that, everything was great!
Scottish Games at Grandfather Mountain, Linville,NC
Great location for attending the games. Secluded and very private location. Close proximity to games, Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain. Diffinetly recommend this rental. Very clean and well maintained.
We had a great stay at this cabin and loved the locationâsuper close to Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain. The property itself was beautiful, especially with the snow-covered landscape, and perfect for a cozy winter getaway. Thereâs plenty to do if you plan to spend a day at the cabin, which we really appreciated. AWD or 4WD is an absolute must in winter weather due to the steep drive. The cabin layout was great, but the beds were a bit of a letdown. The two pull-out sofa beds were extremely uncomfortable, basically just springs, so they werenât usable for us. We ended up doubling up in the regular beds, which were okay (and extremely noisy) but not particularly comfortable either. Thankfully, weâre a family of four and were able to make it work.Overall, the cabin has a lot to offer, but the sleeping arrangements could use some improvement to make it truly perfect.
Beautiful and comfortable cabin to share with family and friends. It has everything you need to cook, relax, and create unforgettable moments. Surrounded by stunning landscapes. Highly recommended!
We brought our mother in law while we went to the races in Bristol. She read and relaxed on the porch while we were gone. Peaceful is an understatement.
The place was great. The only problem we had was it snowed the two days we were there. My truck couldnât make it up the hill. We had to walk from the bottom of the road up. On a normal day it is a great place to stay. The owner responded quickly when we had questions. I would stay here again.
we spent eight nights in the cabin for a cozy retreat. The crackling fireplace, rustic charm, and snow-dusted surroundings create a magical experience. Well-equipped amenities, was the perfect getaway for a tranquil and picturesque winter escape.
Thanks, again for a wonderful time!
Cabin was very clean and well stocked with everything needed to cook a meal. Loved the fireplace. Water was normal! no sulfur smell. Which is only a big deal if you are not used to it. Linens were clean and beds were comfortable enough for not being at home. I appreciate the care put into providing such great stay. There is not cell service which is clearly communicated. Winter weather would definitely require all wheel/4wheel drive. I highly recommend this cabin and host, 5 stars all around!
Overall the stay was very positive from start to finish. Despite being remote it was relatively easy to find with enough parking for two vehicles. The cabin was spacious for two and easily could have accommodated more. There is one other property within eye and ear shot but other than that it felt secluded and quiet.
We enjoyed the solitude of your cabin in the woods. We had an amazing little getaway . Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay at your cabin. We would love to come back in the near future.
