Property was amazing for us. We had a truck and 12 foot enclosed trailer for our Harley. Plenty of room and great and easy access to all the great motorcycle routes, caving is an about 2.5 miles from the parkway and about 15 minutes from town. Cabin was clean and very cozy and secluded. We saw a bear at the cabin as well. The shower was amazing and hot tub was great. This is the perfect couples cabin. We will be back next year in this cabin and hopefully many years to come

Home away from home.

This was the perfect place for us to stay. Great location to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove and Clingman’s Dome. It was clean, comfortable and a great home away from home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we are grateful it is a pet friendly property so our dog could be with us. Everything was provided in the cabin. It is close to everything but far enough off Wears Valley Road so that we could enjoy complete quiet in the woods and get away.

Best Cabin

The most comfortable cabin that we have ever stayed in. It had a loveseat with recliners on both ends, a great bed, and a huge walk-in shower!

Found Peace on the Peaceful Side

Excellent cabin, very comfy and cozy. Excellent location for visits to the Smoky Mountains. The hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge is not my style, this place and location definitely was! Would highly recommend.

Great place to play hooky

We stayed for 5 days and loved every minute of it. The cabin was beautiful and met all of our expectations. The washer/dryer unit was an unexpected perk that was wonderful. The property is quiet, well maintained and close enough to town to make it the perfect getaway.

Great Location

Nicely Decorated, Comfortable Bed, close to attractions and Mountains. Saw momma bear and her cubs. We had so much fun lost track of days

We really enjoyed the cabin. The place was very clean and looked as shown in the photos. We were surprised to find no wash clothes with our towels, but managed without them. We couldn't get the fire place to start on Saturday morning and were discouraged when our voice mail was not returned. The hot tub was very nice, but we didn't use it when it rained because there isn't a roof covering it.

Great private get away

Secluded in a nice location. Beautiful cabin. Everything was just perfect for us. We didn’t see bears on the property but did at Smoky Mnt. Park. We will be back! Thanks for making our 1st vacay in 5 years magical and first get away since my husband’s electrocution accident easy.

Adorable, clean, romantic cabin

We absolutely loved our stay on our honeymoon at Playing Hooky. It had everything we needed to either stay in and be cozy, or relax after a long day out and about. The bed was very comfortable, and the walk-in shower was so luxurious. The only issue we had was the lack of total privacy in the bathroom, due to the open spaces in the upper walls. We worked around it though and had a wonderful stay!

35th Anniversary Trip

Great little cabin for two. We enjoyed the walk-in shower and the hottub. We didn't have to drive far into Pigeon Forge to get to the grocery store or attractions. Somewhat secluded with other cabins up the hill. The deck would of been more appealing with the weeds/grass cut around it and the little creek cleaned up a bit, that's our only negative. Overall, we loved the cabin, and will book again!

Property was very cute and cozy! The only complaint I have which isn’t really a complaint is that I wish they had extra toilet paper and trash bags ready for us. If you need something extra you have to drive to their office and pick it up, would be nice if they dropped that off on porch or something! Other than that it was very nice stay!

Loved it!

We loved the cabin. It was in the perfect location and not too far up into the mountains. If you’re looking for something quiet this is the place for you. The only complaint we have is regarding a storm that came through that knocked out the power to our cabin. While we understand Mother Nature is out of our control, the lack of concern the rental company had was disheartening. We had a couple come to the cabin next to us who got forced out by weather and placed next to us. The rental company was aware of the power outage. They could have reached out to us to check in but I had to reach out to them. If you are looking for above and beyond customer service this is not the place for you. Despite the storm issues, we would stay here again as everything else was perfect! The only other thing I would change is adding chairs to the front porch of the cabin.

We are delighted to hear you loved the cabin, and that you would stay here again! We are so sorry Mother Nature chose your area of the woods to wreak havoc during your stay and that fallen trees on the power line caused a power outage. We were relocating the couple next door due to a plumbing problem and that's when we first learned of the outage in your area. We are glad you communicated with our after-hours emergency contact who advised there were approximately 300 homes without power in your area and that the power company forecasted it would take an additional 1 1/2 hours for the repair. We also enjoyed the nice communication with you via text as you departed for home. We appreciate your feedback and hope you will return to stay again in the future!
