Beautiful private house on the lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. The house was very clean when we arrived. It had all the things we needed to be able to cook and our kids loved the tire swing. Sitting on the deck was so relaxing with a beautiful view of the lake. We’d definitely return in the future.

What a great experience they even had iPhone chargers Bluetooth speaker amenities most places would not have there was no weird smells or old cabin smells if you know what I mean this was very fun place to stay in the communication from start to finish was fantastic. Very good to deal with Lori throughout the whole process, thank you for making it a great vacation

Beautiful Lake House

My siblings and I (5 of us) recently stayed in unit 11. The house was great, all the comforts of home, and an absolutely fabulous view of the lake from the deck where we spent our evenings. There is a nice usable trail down to the lake, we used a wagon to get our chairs and such to and from the lake. We are all in our 60’s and 70’s, so the trek back up the hill after swimming all day was a little bit hard for some of us, but was so worth it. We love lake Shasta and we’re so happy that we spent our sibling vacation this year at Shasta Lakeshore Retreat. I do believe we will be back. One last thing, Lori and Dave are very responsive. There were a couple of times we had a question about something and I’d send an email, and would get an answer back usually within a half hour or less.

Just what we all needed

Retreat 11: first off, don’t be like me and NOT read the email with the directions. I plugged the address into my gps and got lost and called Lori and David and they graciously directed me to the house. We passed two gates and entered a private property with no neighbors to be seen. The third bedroom was in what I thought was a shed (and had to contact Lori because I didn’t read the sheet again đŸ€ŠđŸ»â€â™€ïž) and she helped me find the third bedroom. It was close to the railroad tracks and our teenage boys were a bit annoyed since the train honks at all hours but loved the space and saw bear tracks in the morning so they were excited. But this was the only gripe about the house. Everything else was wonderful. Super clean and well stocked. The views are amazing and the paved trail to the lake is not far from the house. Kids wanted to kayak fish, but didn’t get the chance. We left behind 3 poles behind for the next guests. 😊. Would we stay here again? Absolutely and hopefully we see bears next time. Thank you Lori and David!

With over two decades of cherished family memories at Shasta Lake, we, David and Lori, came to regard Shasta Lake as the highlight of our summers. It's a place where families can bond, and where the range of activities appeals to every age group, making it the perfect spot for a family getaway.

Our love for Shasta Lake runs deep, leading us to make a life-changing decision in 2015 when we purchased our first lakefront home, known as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #1. The incredible experiences we had here were simply too good not to share and we knew our houseboat days were over after staying in this home.

A year later, we acquired the property next door, now known as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #2, bolstered by the popularity of our first home, which had become a year-round favorite.

In 2019, our two grown sons also fell in love with this wonderful place, prompting them to buy a home on the same charming street, christened as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #3. They entrusted us with its management, a responsibility we take to heart. All three homes required significant investment and remodeling as they had been neglected for years.

After many requests from dear friends and neighbors, in 2021 we started managing other properties, which further enriched our collection. Although we only own two of them, today, we proudly represent 19 remarkable homes, each carefully selected for its unique charm, quality, and comfort. We firmly believe that an extraordinary home is the foundation of an unforgettable getaway, and we want nothing less than perfection for our valued guests.

Our journey doesn't end here; it's an ongoing adventure inspired by our passion for Shasta & the surrounding areas. We are committed to carefully expanding our offerings, reviewing additional unique homes to provide more options for all the wonderful families that come to visit this recreational area year after year providing them a much needed lodging option.
