The home was wonderful and spaciousThe beds were comfyThe location is great - and there is a lot of room to parkAfter the trip I messaged the owner to suggest she might add a dining room table and couch - so the home would be more welcoming for meals, board games and conversation (right now it is a bit sparse) and she responded very positively to my suggestions.Which was lovely!
The house served us well to rest after day trips to Medina, Cleveland, and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We found some awesome farm to table restaurants and farm markets nearby. However, the house's kitchen lacked decent cookware to prepare our finds. There needed to be instructions for the space heaters and fireplace heaters. The master bedroom was chilly and we were unable to start the fireplace heaters to warm up.
We stayed at this property while we were looking for long term housing. We stayed a week...nice and quiet location. The house was generally clean but it could have been cleaner. Half of the house appears to be an extension with no HVAC....there are gas fireplaces to help heat the areas....they did ok but it got chilly as we were there when it was cold...not sure how that half of the house would be if it was hot outside. Check in and communication was great....owner was very responsive. Overall good experience.
We stayed at this property for one week in July. There were no instructions left anywhere. No wi-fi password, no working contact phone number, nothing. Additionally, the back door did not lock. The area seems safe, but who wants to go to sleep in a strange house with an unlocked door? We resolved this problem ourselves by procuring a piece of lumber cut to fit the sliding glass door track thereby blockading the entrance. This door jam was ultimately left behind. We were able to communicate with the homeowner after contacting the VRBO helpline, which is not an easy process. We asked the homeowner to reimburse us for the hassle and the materials to secure the property, but so far, she has neither replied nor apologized.
More minor inconveniences included very little soap in the home, no dish towels nor sponges, and very messy drawers in the kitchen. The flat griddle on the stove had to be cleaned before it could be used, and the dishwasher was full, but clean, and so had to be unloaded upon our arrival.
The AC worked well, the house is spacious, the beds comfortable, and the appliances are new and working.
I do not like complaining, but truly, I would feel guilty about not speaking up if someone else were to rent this VRBO and encounter what we encountered.
Things could have been worse, but weâve stayed in many VRBO units and had such good experiences, so I hope this is a one off.
Nice quiet location, easy access to several different towns. This was a temporary housing for 4 adults and a dog until we found apartments. House was clean and had all of the amenties we needed, including king adjustable bed in master bedroom. Beautiful big back yard although it is not enclosed fencing. The weather wasnt the best while we were there, but enjoyed the inside of the house. Owner was outstanding and very helpful with quick responses to the questions we had. Would stay here again if we are ever in need.
