Family Getaway

A quick weekend getaway. Condo and grounds were a perfect place for my family and 2 small pups. The river was a perfect place to lounge and relax in the Texas heat.

Pleasantly surprised

The condo, grounds, and river were better than the pictures portrayed. The condo was renovated and very nice, the trees and shade were wonderful and the river access was perfect. Great little place to stay!

Summer river road trip.

Was a great stay and really great location. The condo was very nice and clean....except...we kept finding chewed gum stuck to the floor. An unordinary amount. 6 pieces! In the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room. All stuck to the floor. We cleaned them up but was really gross.

We appreciate honest reviews as they help us enhance our services to both the guests and the homeowners of the units. The units are vacuumed and mopped after each renter and we have staff that does a QC walk thru prior to guest's arrival and the gum was not noted. We would have appreciated the guests to contact the office in regards to the gum and we would have sent out our housekeeper to have cleaned the gum off of the floor.

Family vacay

The kids had a four day weekend off from school so I decided to take them to float with my mom as I had gone so much growing up. I’ve had girls trip at the condominium for over 10 years so I was familiar and loved the location. It’s one of the only places with great pool choices (which we never even had time for) and where you can site or float in the river and not have to jump in or tie off to not float away. Condo was clean and had all we needed. Even their ice machine was pretty fast to make ice. Great location on first floor. Only thing I’d suggest or warn about is the king bed in the back room. Super comfy but the foot board sticks out on both sides and both my mom and myself left with bruises from running into the corner as there isn’t tons of room to get by those corners that poke out. Great time and experiences for sure!

Nice Location

The location is great and has river access. The only complaint is that the room with the queen bed needs a new mattress or something. It seems to have a sag in it, other than that it was nice and close to everything.

This is an EXCELLENT condo. Clean, excellent furnishings, updated. One of the best in the complex. The management company was extremely responsive. Only two complaints - internet was very slow (hope the owners will fix it), and it is on the main walkway to the river, so it is a tiny bit noisy at times. We will be back!

Busy weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This stay at waterwheel was so different than any others we’ve experienced. I can only guess that it was just due to college kids getting ready to go back to school or what it was. We had a rough stay from people smoking and cursing in the pool in front of our small children to people yelling and screaming off their balconies at 1:30am, and security and the after hours number being useless. The patio furniture was in dire need of repair/replacement as well. I will say that River city resorts handled things very well when I finally did get in touch with them Saturday morning. We were moved to a different condo complex altogether and had a great experience there. I still recommend waterwheel, just be sure to check your dates!
