Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family loved the place and I did too! It’s a block away from the beach and was easy to find a spot even on Labor Day weekend. Loved the decorations so beachy and the beds were comfy, slept like a rock. Had a lot of fun at the pool. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was beautiful and well stocked. The main pool area was steps away from the front porch patio and what a beautiful pool. The secondary pool (more for young kids) was not what we wanted. The keys wouldn’t open any of the gates except for one if you jiggled it. The pool itself felt very slippery and the water features ( the entire purpose for the pool) were not working. I talked to someone from the management office and they were very concerned with these problems. I hope they got fixed for future people. Easy to talk to the management

The proximity to the beach and the pool can't be beat, and the unit was very clean. Our only frustrations were the lack of spoons (there were only 4) and most the dishes weren't microwave safe (they get REALLY hot if you microwave them with food).

Smoke free rental??

Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay like we always do but we have 3 suggestions for owners/employers. 1) management did not contact us prior to 4pm checkin as rental agreement promised 2) upon entry we were welcomed with a strong odor which was not cigarette smoke but another kind 3) some kitchen items need replacement to ensure safe/healthy cooking

Nice stay but we lost a full day dealing with repair people

We had a nice stay at your property, however we had to spend an entire day (from 8:15 am to 9:pm) dealing with a non functioning wifi. ( mon July 18) My wife had to bring her work laptop to keep in touch with her clients and do some daily work. The wifi did not work and we contacted the property Mngt. They were very responsive and started trying to fix the issue immediately. It ended out being a larger issue and we had to basically stay in the unit while different people came to troubleshoot. The problem was finally resolved at about 9:15 with the help of a spectrum technician. We had planned to go the beach and out to dinner, but had to stay to let people in and out. We hope that the cost for that day will be refunded as we were unable to leave. Thanks

Property is good for families.

This is right next to the pool so we could occasionally hear kids at the pool. I emailed Lisa questions after booking and never heard back from her. 3 days went by and I finally got my questions answered via text message after the mangangment company reached out regarding check in.

Excellent condo for the family!

Great condo with cute decor, super clean, comfortable beds, and plenty of room for our family of 5. Pool was awesome and right outside the unit. Even being so close to the pool, it wasn't noisy inside the unit! Quick walk or drive to the public access beach. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Stay!

We came down to Padre for Spring Break for the week. Communication with this property is A+++! So friendly, accommodating & quick to reply. My kids (ages 17, 21 & 25) along with myself and hubbie loved Big Shell. It's decorated & styled SO CUTE & the location is perfect right out front is the pool. Beach is within walking if you aren't hauling a lot, but we had a bunch so we drove over. Big Shell is pet friendly, which is nice. Towels were plush and bedding nice & soft. A/C worked great. Ice maker in fridge & fridge kept everything ice cold! My kids (and ME) loved the Galaga video game in bunk room. TV was easy to use & had streaming as well. Blender in kitchen, plenty of pots & pans and dishes etc. The only thing missing for our stay was a muffin pan (I know it's random lol) I made St Patty's Day green muffins. I made it worked though by using a glass casserole dish and just had them next to each other, :) Couches were comfy (I slept on one two nights due to snoring husband LOL) Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and adding to a lifetime of vacation memories.

Great beach getaway

This property was just what we needed for our weekend at the beach. Condo was clean and exactly as advertised. The property management was extremely helpful and easy to work with. Location near a drive on beach and the on-site pool were great. My only suggestion would be to stock a few additional towels and think about including beach towels as they are bulky to pack. Will definitely consider staying again on our next trip to the beach.

Overall great experience.

The home itself was great. Unpleasant neighbors that weekend had nothing but racist things to say about minorities which made it uncomfortable.
