This place has easy access to all and everything for a wonderful experience, location are no more than a 30 minute drive in all directions which was excellent. This place also have everything you would need from kitchen wares to bathroom and bedroom accommodation. Pool area awesome view in the morning as well as evenings. I would definitely recommend and would also stay again if available. Thank you Mrs Hatteberg
Orchid Place is a perfect villa with everything you could wish for, for a perfect Florida stay, close to the Disney and Universal parks and supermarkets. The Mickey Mouse bedroom and Disney touches around the villa were a lovely touch. The pool was perfect with beautiful views over the lake that we already miss! Thank you for a lovely stay.
We would stay there again. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed.
Everything we wanted to do was at a perfect distance from the location of the house. The pool was absolutely wonderful and relaxing. .
I have never stayed at such a well-stocked house before. The view of the duck pond while sitting on the lanai was a lovely feature of this house. While we were concerned about being 30 minutes from the amusement parks, the ride from the house had a great traffic flow and we didn't mind it. I would recommend this house for your next relaxation central Florida.
Outside of the neighborhood getting pretty rowdy on weekends my family very much enjoyed our stay. The house definitely had nearly everything we needed and had a good symmetry to the places we wanted to visit.
Such a lovely place, and exactly as pictured. We didnât mind that some of the furniture was worn because it means it was well loved and enjoyed. The pool was amazing! And the fishing⊠We caught and released almost a dozen bass.
We will definitely book again next year! We already miss the pool.
The house is beautiful and comfortable. The view of the swimming pool is amazing on the lake. Everything you might need at home. The location is excellent, close to Disney and Universal . The house is actually more beautiful than the pictures. Of course weâll back soon.
We really enjoyed our stay. The pool netting ripped due to rain and it was fixed within a few days. Cannot fault it.
The online pictures could be updated as the property is so much nicer than the photos.
Thank you!
Villa had everything you needed, quiet location, lovely pool , clean and loads of room for 5 of us . We had an amazing time. Hosts were great with sorting everything out when booking . đ
Such a lovely Home-from-Home.
All is there, very clean an looked after.
Pool looks onto lake, which made every morning /day even more amazing.
Great area. Been here over New year and every one in the area had a party, but in a very lovely, family environment and very respectful regarding music noise. I believe after 1am all went quiet, which we liked.
I loved how much thought and planning has been made for each room. Happy we picked Lois&Craigs home. The communication was awesome and clear. The area is great. Shops are close by. Great carparking space in front of the house. We would 100% recommend it and even return ourselves again. đĄđ Thank you for letting us stay here.
Few things to be aware of... but would stay here again.
First, Lois is great. Communicating with her from the time we booked all the way until check in was smooth. Lois was extremely accommodating when our arriving flight changed to the red eye and we needed to check in much earlier than anticipated.
PROS: House is beautiful, big, spacious, wonderful beds, master bath tub could fit a gorilla its so big, kitchen was top notch, LOIS HAD FANS FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO CAN'T SLEEP WITHOUT ONE! The garage had extra fun stuff to do. I am now a pro at ping pong. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy family time. Large spacious closets with a few hangers. Good washer and dryer.
CONS/ NEEDS ATTENTION:
My biggest issue was the controlled AC. I refuse to stay in hotels because now they lock it in at 75+ degrees and you have no control over how the room feels. Unfortunately, this house is the same. I felt uncomfortable with the note left on the wall stating that the AC was monitored and if we placed it below 75 degrees the home owner would remotely move it back to that degree. I understand some people can be irresponsible and lower the temp to a degree that would freeze up the unit., but not having a choice in controlling the AC was a definite issue for me. We did move it down to 71 at one point and minutes later it was set back to 75. I felt watched and a sense of "you're in trouble."
Towels were very smelly. The towels smelled like mildew and dirt. Not just one of them, all of them.
The shower curtain liners were unbelievably filthy & molded. My mother actually refused to shower with it so she left it outside of the tub and placed several towels down to soak up any water that got on the floor. I have a picture to upload for that. The lights were a bit quirky. Many lights/lamps are on extension cords/strips and they often did not work. We had to replace the master bathroom bulb when we arrived because it would not turn on.
*I would advise you against getting pool heat*
In my opinion, I believe we should have been credited back the pool heat fee for our weeks long stay. I have a picture that will show that the heating unit was frozen with about 3 inches of ice. Lois and I discussed that the pool temp heat is set at 88 degrees. I wanted to make sure that my family could enjoy it in December. The pool was 70 degrees or colder the entire time. Only ONE heat pump in the pool was open. I did not want to argue so I let it go when she said it was "mother nature."
I would happily stay here again with a few changes.
We may stay at your house again, however, the beds were terrible. My granddaughter enjoying the pool made it better. We found the rental dusty and could the furniture updated.
This property was exactly what the family was looking for when staying in Florida for a family visit. The owners did a GREAT job from their recommendations on where to eat to on how to travel around the area without having to pay tolls.
As retired teachers we have enjoyed many travel opportunities including Alaska, Hawaii, Norway, Mexico, Myrtle Beach, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Las Vegas, California, Texas, Florida and the east coast. After many trips to Florida, we decided the time was right to purchase our second home. The Kissimmee area has so much to offer that we knew we wanted to be a part of the community.
